That is an awesome , inspiring 5 minutes fireside. Just on time on my break time from work. After facing different medical cases at work. It’s reminds me the greatness of our God. He is with me , my protector and peace. Thank you John for sharing the “Words.”
Really appreciated his comments. I liked that he names it as "difficult times." But not to despair and move forward in faith. His examples were helpful. Thank you!
I loved Jon’s fireside. This virus has been disrupting our lives for months now, but it got really hard for me two days ago. I don’t know what brought it on but Jon’s words were exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you!
In July 2017 I was in a tragic diving accident compressing C3-C5 fracturing C4. I am now a quadriplegic paralyzed from the neck down. I consider this to be one of the greatest blessings in my life. It has brought me back to the straight and narrow path from any dark wandering roads!! Here just recently I came across this verse “ “Be patient in afflictions, for thou shalt have many; but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days.” -D&C 24:8 I love this verse it helps me through a lot of my days!!
This was power packed in 8 mins.! I need to go back and write down the scriptures and look up the quotes. I am going to share this with my multi faith (virtual) Bible study group tomorrow night! Wish there were links to the talk quotes. Great ideas to make lists. 'He has said,' ".yet will I not forget thee,... Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." (Isaiah 49:15-16) Thanks!
Thank you for this uplifting message. I’ve been inspired to journal the important lessons I’m learning during the quarantine about what is most important.
Elder Neil L. Anderson in Conference April 2018 said "Following the prophet in a world of commotion is like being wrapped in a soothing, warm blanket on a freezing cold day."
Thank you for this 5 minute fireside. I believe I was ment to hear it. My husband and I are mourning our daughter who died earlier this year and this mini fireside gave me what I needed at this time. I like the idea of searching for a word and then reading what the scriptures say. I will write them down and keep them close to me so I can references them at anytime. Once again, thank you.
I love how he framed his 5th grade journal page! What a great idea to celebrate those times you felt the Savior's hand in your life! I love this! Thank you, John, and thank you, Deseret Book, for a perfect fireside! 💖
Morgan.. by the way.. "All In" is my favorite podcast. Your interviewing skills are top-notch... just the right sprinkling of your personal insights to help draw out the experiences and stories of your guests!. Please keep it up.
What wonderful counsel! I love the idea of keeping scriptures in sight to remind us that Christ is truly the founder of peace. Also to record and remember the miracles!
I loved this! It really struck a chord for me, as it was exactly what I needed to hear. I'll also be sharing it with a loved one who needs it. Thank you!!
Thank you for this fireside! Just what I needed. Definitely going to start a list of favorite scriptures and displaying some of them. Love that idea!!♥️
