Named after the street it fronts, Charles Drive House is shaped, composed and arranged out of respect for its Sonoran hillside site. Rather than impose a preconceived building on a rocky slope, the architecture is subordinate to nature. Therefore, it will get better with age!

How does this house handle the heat with all that glass? Great design but would be very interested in how it handles the air flow in the building itself.

Overhang and buffers zones help alot! I want to see an airflow diagram ngl. It would be very interesting indeed.

Great house, and the architect seems like a cool guy! But why don’t they hang the paintings?! Since they live in a glass house... they should not throw stones! ;)
