Omg, thank you for the update. I’m bloody 56 now but have such fond memories of BF1& 2 but especially the DC mod. That feeling when you master flying choppers with a mouse/kb. So nice to see it still going!! Thank u 😊
@@samholdsworth420 Because of the 2 main reasons: 1) The franchise (both of them) wasn't known that well back then (also most of the people who play BF nowadays started with 3, 4 or 1) 2) BF1942 isn't being sold anymore and hasn't been sold for years - so the chance of someone stumbling upon it is rather low, not to mention that even if people see videos and it's not on their prefered platform for sale they no further care.
What a coincidence! This afternoon I'll be playing this mod with 3 friends on LAN, and even though they are in other countries, you can simulate LAN games using VPN tools (P.S: Can you give me the name, IP and port of the server?) [double P.S: this is the classic version of bf desert combat, the latest version is version 0.8 or final]
It amazes me that a game this old has the ultimate fun factor. Modern games may have better graphics and sound, more mechanics, but lack any sort of character or charisma. I see a lot of modern games that everyone is playing, and they tell me to join them, but I can't because they just look so generic. And after watching 5 minutes I'm bored senseless. I could watch a 6 hour stream of this game no problem.
