Remake of Desert Dream, originally made by Kefrens for Amiga OCS/ECS. Animation and 3D graphics by Mat Recardo, music by Chris Crusher. ada.untergrund.... www.pouet.net/p...
"At last we made him cold as ice So he can nomore terrorize He wanted us to blame the melon But now he felt us turn the hell on The alien is now so dead The skin is falling of his head Yet still he may be recreated The rumors have to be defeated We have a dream - It might come true This dream we want to share with you..." Powerfull stuff :) Kinda hard to think that 20 years have passed..
Indeed - and it was a period packed with fun for those having a computer. :-D I have the CDTV standing next to me, as well as an even more exotic (and largely unknown) computer - the TI99/4A successor, the Myarc Geneve 9640, with hard drive controller (MFM) and two battery backup'ed RAM disks. c",)
Another remake which took ages to complete. So many parts that had to be remade over and over to get them to look right. The Melon in all its super textured glory was my favourite part to see getting made.
I must ask, is the alien head, in the end, the original pic or have you rendered that one too? It looks kind of fuzzy so... If so that was one thing that made it even more nostalgic.
Nice try but not a patch on the original. The music was lacklustre, bass on the 3 note riff was too weak, and some of the keyboard lines were different and not good different either. Sorry it's a 4/10 from me
