It’s just like any mineral there’s never a definitive price when it comes to the variation in Quality some of it’s worth a dollar a pound or some of it’s worth several hundred dollars a pound to thousands of dollars apiece after while you get an eye for what quality looks like in the material and thanks to the Internet. People are starting to be more aware of what quality looks like and what a fair price actually is.
I take mine off when I wash my hand, do dishes etc. The saw dust under the stones swelling l and eventually pushes the stone loose or out. I love turquoise, pieces I've had since the 60's and 70's I never had an issue
Trucks so it larger fancier gem show where they’re selling high-end jewelry and facets that can go home on the plane no problem but I would say well over 95% of all the rocks that are shipped here to the United States being sold by foreign dealers or actually staying here in the United States and are not going back home my good friend Mohammed, who is vending at this venue is waiting on a 50 kg shipment from Africa as we speak all of that will not get shipped back to Afghanistan with him after the Tucson show, he just lives in storage units almost every storage unit in Quartzsite and Tucson are packed full of gems, rocks sculptures, and other mineral stuff o
There are a few peeps I get my casual stuff from but there’s always one or two people selling off all collections randomly across different venues that you have to be there looking for in order to get the quality deal. For instance, last year I bought some turquoise from a fossil dealer he doesn’t even like turquoise, he was selling it for a friend, and it ended up being some of the best turquoise I ever bought. I paid next to nothing for it. You gotta be there to look for those types of things.
