I recently brought you Mountain Kats, my disc golf series where I play at courses in the mountains. Now I bring you Desert Kats! Guess where I'm playing at now? I'm visiting friends and there are a lot of courses around the desert southwest.
Freestone Park was just 10 minutes away from where I'm staying and it had decent reviews on UDisc. It is an open course with some trees & brushes obstructing the baskets. The locals play a back 9, which is in the opposite direction as the front 9, so it can be dangerous to new players at that course. I met up with a local halfway though my play and he was out there to improve his game so he can beat his brother.
