I gotta say, you should take over Huell Howser's spot at KCET.

Nice video. Thanks so much for showing! I’ve got a 2WD high clearance/lifted VW Vanagon. Doesn’t look like there’s too much deep sand in the road. Do you think this type of vehicle would generally be ok on those roads?

Thank you. Road conditions change. I'd check at the visitor center.

Why is the narrator rolling his rs when he pronounces a Spanish word. Does he use a German accent when he orders at Der Wienerschnitzel.

I do. You should hear me with Japanese names.

@@BackRoadsWest1 That I would love to hear. Most people really foul up Japanese names and words. The first time I heard a non-Japanese person say "karaoke" I about died! I didn't even recognize it.

Sometimes. Deep sand. Potential washouts where you'll need high clearance. Road conditions change all the time and I haven't been on it for 4-5 years. Just know what your vehicle can and cannot do.

It would have been nice to see the springs. Is there any actual water visible?
@BackRoadsWest1

Just like any other spring, it depends on the past weather conditions.

August is a wonderful time of year to visit

This statement is true if you really, really like the heat. Otherwise, I would only visit this place from late October to early May. Jan-Feb is the best.

@@BackRoadsWest1 I think they were being sarcastic. It’s too hot to visit in August
