I always feel like I could not love this band anymore than I already do . And I’m always wrong , they’re always better every listen! The best country band ever !!!
Chris Hillman has always been committed to excellence. It shows with his association with the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers and the Desert Rose Band. He was the one on the Byrds who discovered legendary guitarist Clarence White. Clarence White's lead guitar in "Time Between" speaks for itself.
Really miss this time era and the DRB. Fantastic band. Two of my top favorites are, She Don't Love Nobody and In Another Lifetime. Wishing all the best to, The DRB 👍😎🤠🇺🇲
DRB was quite simply the best band around in this period. Chris HILLMAN, Herb PEDERSEN, John Jorgenson, Bill Bryson, Steve Duncan and the inimitable Jay Dee MANESS, all stellar musicians in their own right. Nice to see Jay Leno with a copy of the vinyl ‘Pages of Life’ album. To anybody who hasn’t heard it, Chris and Herb’s 1996 Sugar Hill release ‘Bakersfield Bound’ is a stunningly beautiful album of country music, Bakersfield style! Jay Dee is on fire on this ‘desert island disc’. Released on a great sounding CD only.
Agree the best - followed Hillman from Byrds FBB . Just discovered this gem of a band . Hillman was always top notch . He surrounds himself with talent in this band.
