Deserts of Alrest 

Torna's desert region is probably my favorite desert area in terms of aesthetics. It looks like a giant beach with the sandy dunes and oasis scattered around.

Exhibit A: IT LOOKS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO MOR ARDAIN

Mor Ardain is a wasteland, while Dannaugh is more of a desert. I never considered Mor Ardain a desert.

I thought the title was "desserts of Alrest" and it was going to be commentary on how broken they are as a pouch item or noting if they were similar to desserts in the real world.

*What I learned today* : Thieving Tirkins are in Arizona. Got it.

I feel that Mor Ardain is the way it is the way it is mostly due to the Ardanians draining the resources, which make me think it could've been a grassland-ish Titan, like Gormott, but not nearly as lush.

I've bewildered myself realising I remember something from March in Earth Science class...

Dannagh looks like a beach, with white sand, while Mor Ardain doesn't. Solved before actually watching! XD In all seriousness though, Mor Ardain would need to have water imported if there isn't any kind of precipitation at all...Mor Ardain isn't as self-sustaining as I thought.

Fuck I love this video and it taught me a lot and I love how you use real world science to explain one of my favorite areas in all of video game (The Dannagha Deasert) and it really makes me appreciate how much thought was given into thsese areas than you'd notice at face value. Man I lovd the Torna titan.

As a local Seattleite, I honestly find it really cool that you mentioned the geography of my home state. I remember my family taking long drives to Idaho to visit my late grandfather and later on going to an anime convention in Spokane, and I was always in so much awe at seeing the woodlands I'm familiar with transform into mountains and then into a vast desert. Truly a marvel of the land. :)

Dannaugh is probably one of the most beautiful desertic areas I've seen in videogames.

i lived on the desert side of the cascades for a couple months and i can absolutely say that it feels like a desert, just less sandy than you'd think. it's more of a dirt desert and yes it really does creep up on you that quickly once you get past the mountains. you got everything right!

Interesting video concept and definitely a nice change of pace. I'm a bit curious if you stumbled upon wind erosion and the formation of rocky structures in desert areas like this and if you considered including them in the video or not.

I live in Arizona and went to u of a in Tucson. The sky islands are definitely cool. Mt lemon is really cool too. Lots of great camping spots, and even some snow in early June! And also, yes, there are a multitude of species that have emerged on very thin bands of the sky islands that are so specific to that environment that they can't be found anywhere else in the world.

You forget indol Spoilers I know it’s you know dead but the clouds around it while it was alive look yellow /pink I think that indol formed a few clouds around it after all it has been alive for a few thousand years already and it is medium sized if you count the wings and the entire back and head it’s size size is prob 1/5 of morardains so it makes sense for it to have a bit of precipation

I live in Southern Utah, Mor Ardain is pretty similar aside from the metal stuff. Oblivia is too except our desert has a lot more shrubbery and stuff
