Wow, this was a very cinematic game here. Perfect for promoting some Deserts of Kharak. So many different units, so many explosions, barrages, nukes, backstabs, everything!
That was a HUGE war! Loved it! A piece of advice for you mate: in large games like 2v2 or 3v3 try to keep an eye on hte front line more and less on economic harass. Harass is far less important than a big front line battle (you missed 2 of these in this game). Even if you miss a resource location takedown it's ok, but missing a big battle is a shame. Anyway, great cast as always! GG!
This was very enjoyable to watch^^ I don't think I have ever had the pleasure of being in a game with such clear teamwork. A terrific cast as always. I noticed a lot of people will pull their Honor Guards up to the front of their fleet to act as a vanguard of sorts, as seen in this battle. I do not ever recommend doing this. My general rule I (at least try to) follow is this, if your Honor Guard is able to spot and attack an enemy without you or your allies scouting ahead, you are to close. Do not think of them as tanks, they are snipers that should remain a respectable distance away from the front line fighting, but just close enough to support it. Also as a side note; am I the only one that notices the artifact pads/spawn points being elevated on this map? I once saw a Base Runner drive underneath one a while back in a game I was in.
Oh man, this was downright insane. Incredible stuff; the mix of both music and over the top battle chatter just makes it that much more amazing. Still thinking about seriously dedicating time to learning how to play competitively, but at the same time, my rig's on the lower end of the graphical spectrum and and can't quite run this game as well as other people. Till then, I'll keep viewing your videos. Thanks for posting!
Sadly i am in the same boat here. Im in love with this game but i can barely run it on LOW settings on my old PC. In my country a decent PC is very expensive, almost 2 monthly salaries so that is prohibitive for me. I will relegate myself to watching this cool channel and dream of one day being able to join the MP community when i can afford a beast PC... GG!
Really enjoying these podcasts, Dreamlands! Spotted this on my feed and have become obsessed with the game without even owning it (yet). You're doing the developers/publisher a favor! And chuckled at 26:35 "This production cruiser is fucked; all of these things are fucked."
Yay, It's amazing that you keep playing and watching replays :D I'm really appreciate that, mate, cause I can't play in this game on my ancient computer :C Stay tuned ;) P.S. GG :D
That the problem with this map both team for one player gets a third eco spot that is far out there and have to fight hard for it or get push back not getting the eco the player needs.
A big probelm i have noticed in this game is lack of proper communication. The 3 players in the team were probably not all on voice chat and the game is a bit lacking in alerting information. A map ping mechanic would have done wonders for DoK to alert your allies to a troublesome location on the map. I really hope to see a sequel of this wonderful game with better observer UI, map UI, comm tools and unit control.
Morning, Im from the UK and cannot get a sniff of an online game. I dont think ive seen another player in my entire time playing. How would i get involved with all these awesome battles?
I recommend joining the Homeworld Discord server. The majority of the community is there, so you will have no trouble finding people to play with. Here is the link: discordapp.com/invite/0iObC1nAGCaSEPOp
The best thing to do is join the community Discord: discordapp.com/invite/WGmRe2F Most players are present there, as well as some of the devs. You will be able to arrange games that way most easily :)
