Hey Nick! I just wanted to thank you for all that you do. Pandemic has been hard especially in getting a job, I am from the Philippines and freelancing is a thing here. With your tutorial videos, I was able to land some gigs locally and have been part of a marketing team. I can't thank you enough!
Can you tell me how to make your page see full on the screen, means I have to scroll down to see the half page and scroll up to see the half page Please answer me...
I've recommended this channel to everyone I meet if they have an interest in vector graphics. I've learned tons of new methods from these videos and I really enjoy applying them to my own projects!
Another excellent tutorial. Like another commenter said, I learned most of my early Inkscape skills from your videos - thanks so much! You could select all and then choose Stroke to path to avoid scaling issues and keep stroke widths in proportion at the end.
Just like other comments, an excellent tutorial,. Thank you. I have done a few of these type of logo designs in Inkscape but not as easily as you make this look. I have learnt a lot, thanks Nick.
You are a wizard. I’m an older-ish, new, user of Inkscape. My memory leaves a lot to be desired, so it’s hard for me to learn from those who speak fast and ramble on. But you’re different. I’m actually learning. It’s helping me to exercise my memory. Thank you.
Nice tutorial as always. Could´t you copy the first circle in place and transform it in same step? Or make a "path" circle and a second the same way? I know coming from Corel where most is so easy Inkscape is sometimes a mystery to me. WOuld like to see in maybe other tutorials different ways to reach the effect.
PRO TIP: Beyond their obvious usefulness, when it comes to selecting items; the layers panel is the most invaluable tool in the software (just about any editing software).
Hi Nick! Do you have a tutorial up on actually creating "the" Inkscape logo itself? It looks pretty tricky as well with its rounded thick skin glossy texture.
That's a great video tutorial, thank you for sharing all the steps. I didn't see you using layers for this example. Would it ease the process in any way?
another great video nick ! i have a question: while using the selector tool, when you click once on an object, you get the scaling arrows, when you click a second time you get the rotation handles. is there a way to switch form scaling arrows to rotation handles, other than clicking a second time on the object ? for instance, for an object that is entirely beneath another object. you can alt-click to select the hidden object, but when you alt-click a second time, it cycles further through the stacked objects...
@LogosByNick, I have a question. The logo I created on Inkscape while exporting as a PNG file for use in business cards is pixelated or blurry. Are there any settings that need to be adjusted? Thanks!
How do you do the inkscape user interface so roomy?. My inkscape interface is so cramped with large menu interface or menu pop window. Even it use 3/4 of the screen that makes the artboard only 1/4.
Could you make a tutorial abounk ink bleed effect or something similar? I would like to make a text look handwritten with ink pen that a few teardrops smudging/blurring it, but I can't find a tutorial. Thanks
awesome tutorial thank you so much!! so i am trying to follow along but when I pull up the align tool on the first circle after I make object a path, it does not have the option to align relative to page? not sure what I may have done wrong
Hi Nick! It's been a while since I used Inkscape on my Windows laptop. Now I installed it on my Macbook and it doesn't work smoothly, why is that? I downloaded the correct version and all that stuff, I have enough space too.
it is a very good Dsoftware but i wish thy could add some easier cutting tools : for example when there are intersections , instead of clicking allways path and do stuff prior to intersections , that we have a tool which is on the left or upper side and by clicking on it the cutting tool is active and all we need to do is go to the area we want to cut out. Once there , the area we want to cut out gets a red line and after clicking on it, it is cut out. i find many things being made complicated without reason and intersection or division are only two of them. by making a Music Cover design i noticed this ... Inkscape can easaly outrun Illustrator and any similar Program
Okay first thank you for tutorial I'm going to try and figure out myself but my question on 12:43 I'm trying to identify clicked the show transformation got the handles bounded around them but when I go to indent first if I hit shift and Ctrl the stroke gets rubbery bent and if I don't hit shift Ctrl they indent yes but only to left or right in one direction never both going in can anyone help with this thank you
Help. I am unable to fill my shapes with a solid color. I can only change the color of my shape borders. I am a total noob. Help me with some useful advice
Scaling object, the feature is not clear enough. When you click it , how does one know it is in the off or on or able or disable. That is a very poor feature. I wish it had 2 options able and disable or on/off. I am not sure what my was set to or what the default is. I am using Inkscape 1.3 version.
I don't know what i am doing wrong here. I turn the handles to spin round the letters and the shape of the circle becomes deflated and oval-shaped, even when holding CTRL. Does anybody know how to fix that?....
To rotate the text click twice only on the circle and use one of the corner arrows ⏎ to rotate the circle - not the text - as the text is attached to the path of the circle, and it should rotate into place (where you wan it.)
