I needed this in my life, i was planning to design a green QK65 themed set and name it "birch forest" or something along the lines, now I can make my wish come true. Thank you.
ahhh thank you so much for making this! i have been wanting to create keycap renders and designs for so longgg. as soon as i found this video i made my first set and i'm in loveee already!
So glad I found this, I’m an artist looking to somehow create cool stuff for my fellow keyboard enthusiasts and this helped a lot! Also your voice is so nice and soothing to listen to. Great video! Definitely subbed
dude purple pigeons have been my grail for the longest time . I should have copped when it was like 200 but now it's crazy. Didn't know you were into sneakers!
i loved this video im binging a bunche of keyboard videos to learn more and i came across this i kinda want to try to design some this was amazingly helpful !!
Thanks for this! For the past couple of weeks I've been thinking I wanted to try my hand at designing a keycap set. These are great resources to start with :)
the link that you put in for the templates doesn't have the keyboard downloads anymore. It just has caps. Where can I find the download for the keyboard?
I learned how to do it: As long as the font file is hosted online in a woff2 format you can do it. Under custom styles add this info for your font: the example will be “salt” Find salt hosted on a website like onlinewebfonts.com. There you will find the link and info you will need for the font. There input the info for it like this @font-face { font-family: 'Salt'; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; src: local('Salt'), local('Salt'),url("//db.onlinewebfonts.com/t/e9bf726e281bc220ce1858528ae5a8a0.woff2") format("woff2"); } * { font-family: 'Salt'; } From here the font for every key should have changed.
awesome tutorial, is there a way of making parts shine-through like in pudding keycaps? i'm interested in making my own low-profile puddings with cherry mx compatibility since i've yet to find anything
Quick Question: is there any way to get .blend files with hiragana sub legends? My original idea for a keyset was to have them and I don't know a way to render them with the sub legends, thanks
Hi! Great video! I didn't know there was a way to render KLE files! That's awesome! Do you know how to change the Legend font in KLE? Also, if I design my own keycaps do you know who give the maker service? Thanks for sharing!
i cannot find the keycap on keyboard blender model on the website its for me the just caps on can someone send me the files or a link to them on github or something? I would really apreciate it
thanks for the video. do you know how to change which keys are classified as the alpha/base and accents? i want to change a set of keys but it is different from the presets
How do you select multiple keycaps and change their colors together in blender? I've tried selecting multiple but then clicked new material and only the last keycap selected will change color.
Would you happen to have the file for the template with the keyboard? Would be really cool if you could upload it somewhere so we can have something to work with!
I can't render it always says Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
If you just want a one-off printed set, wasdkeyboards is a decent option: www.wasdkeyboards.com/products/keycaps/keycap-set.html Other than that, there's quite a bit of work to get them made
You can obtain it from the website shown in the video at 7:10 . I think the download now sends you to gumroad where you are requested to pay a fair price.
