I wish I could find a tutorial starting from the ground up. I didn't understand some of your labeling words. Hard to follow just what you are doing.

Curious...How did you bring a picture of your quilt into Designer?

Under the Tools tab, use the backdrop function. There are videos on prostitcher.com that walk you through it as well.
