Design & inspiration: epoxy terrazzo installation 

Terrazzo is one of the few materials that craft of skill ( trades persons) and art ( artists/architects ) all come together to make something wonderful that will endure and be functional.

To the lady at 8:20 seconds...two gentleman from the Simi valley in California changed Terrazzo ....for Centuries Terrazzo was hobbled by iron oxide colors.... which means you can only add 6 lbs of color per 94 lbs of cement...hence the 94lb bag of cement....94 + 6 =100.... everything is done in percentage that adds up to 10 in the trade....the introduction of epoxy based matrix in the early 90s changed the color possibilities to almost endless...not only did the introduction of epoxy richen the color it beckoned the trade to evolve from basic geometric shapes to actual art...IE; Butterflies, hummingbirds fish you name it..... Epoxy was a game changer....divider strips no longer had to be set into wet dry- pack.....they could be glued to an existing treated slab! Eric Underwood class of 81 Downey High School California...
