Fun fact: I don't remember the store I bought from but I specifically remember the note beside the item online that said "Hurry! Only one left!" I decided to get it because I thought it was cute. After I purchased it I decided to go back and look at it some more and saw that instead of saying "out of stock" it still said "Hurry! Only one left!" So I don't know, either their website is REALLY slow or this is a marketing tactic of some sort to show other people are buying it or to maybe pressure someone into making a quick decision.

It definitely is a marketing tactic They either just lie Or some companies are really sneaky and only TECHNICALLY have one of that item registered under them then when it sells they replace it with that same item So technically no matter how many sales the item gets there's only ever one at a time and it's technically "only one left"

You're absolutely right about thrift shops not accepting that crap. I used to work at one, and that stuff would have gone in the trash. And we tried to recycle as much as we could, and we gave what we didn't sell to charity, but we wouldn't give that to charity, because it's trash. I know this isn't a "designer brand" but can we please raise awareness on the workers in sweatshops for SHEIN? people really need to realise that the more they order from them, the more the workers are ripped of their rights as they keep working under terrible conditions for peanuts. sure you can't really stop people from ordering from SHEIN and it's their money they're using, but there has to be a way to shut it down.

@@undigesteddonut there are definitely cheap sustainable ways to buy clothes. thrift stores provide some rlly unique vintage pieces (trust me ive been thrifting with my mom since i was a toddler and i get the coolest stuff there). u can also check out secondhand clothing online! i get that not everyone has access to thrift stores but it still proves the fact that shopping sustainably isn't always expensive
