She didn't copyright nor trademarked her design, second if the original design waS altered even slightly then it's not the original design anymore and therefore won't belong to that designer anymore.

While the Chinese designer one is a star shaped top with chains, a connected choker, and connected mini tube skirt. The material looks like leather but with a shiny tint so idk if it’s real leather or not. For years stores and people have been making star shaped tops so this is nothing new.

Idk, I’ve seen 2 other people beside Lisa wear the same exact top. One on TikTok and the other one here on yt one of them was a rockstar dance cover and the other was a reaction video. I think It could be one of those situations where the designer thought she made something new but in reality it’s been on the market for years. I’m saying this because star shaped tops already existed before Lisa wore them.

The original design isn't original to begin with. Star top designs has been a things for years especially during the 2000s. And the only thing similar is the star, everything else is different. However, if she feels the design is original and they copied it then lisa team should deal with it. At this point when styling idols, stylist need to cross check every design to see if someone has done it before and give them credit. But tbh the design has been done before and hoped the designer has the same energy for shein, PLT and other fast fashion brands cause they sell them 😂

It’s absolutely possible that two people can think of the same idea. It happens all the time in art and design. If it was a 6 pointed star or 7 pointed star I might lean more towards copying her design, but it’s a five pointed star. The artist her self says it’s possible that the stylist came up with it on her own.

Yeah I was about to comment that. Lisa has some sort of straps while the other one has a big black stripe. Plus Lisa’s star seems to cover the torso more than the one the designer made so.. this is just a bad coincidence.
The chains and wide choker is unique, not the shape (tops like that have been seen since the 2YK) and Lisa’s top doesn’t even have those attributes. The song is called RockSTAR so it’s not a surprise they chose to make a top shaped like a star. Most likely they haven’t even seen this designer’s work before but at least the designer got some free publishing, so good for her 😄

I do really love Lisa but yeah, this is not right. Lisa's team should at the very least apologize for stealing the idea because even though people can think alike sometimes, the design is way too similar. People who originally come up with these designs put the time and effort to bring their ideas to life. If someone stole my design without crediting me, I would be pretty mad as well. As a blink, Lisa and her team is definitely in the wrong and should apologize. Stop hating on the designer who is just wants the company to at least apologize for stealing her designs which she put the time and effort in to come up with it and design it. Even if that designer was the first to do a star top.... the shape is simply a star. Theres been tons of star tops around for a long time, at this point, would Lisa's team have known they were "stealing" from someone specific or would they have thought "lets do this trendy top we see everywhere"? I always get angry when companies steal from small artists BUT in this case im not on the artist's side because I've seen plenty of people, models, dancers, influencers..etc wear this kind of top. Sorry, but star shaped tops have been a thing YEARS before most of Lisa's fans were even born.
Unpopular opinion- Neither side is at fault or technically wrong here. Designer may have not seen this top before and genuinely thinks shes only one to create it. Truth is, its not a new top. I’m sorry but I’m not siding with this designer, there are so many star shaped tops it’s a really common design, trendy and it comes off in various different materials and colours in the kpop community and you can find the same top on pinterest made by various different stylists and none of them are complaining

It is for sure possible the company’s design team stole from her. It’s very common for large corporations to steal designs from small artists, one Kpop MV (forgot which one) had uncredited artwork of a small artists’ cartoon, and Disney stole a statue concept from a small artist.

2 things. One, it’s not like Lisa designed the outfit so there was no need to bring her into it. Two, I doubt Lisa’s stylist knew it was possibly copied/stolen. The artist probably should’ve just made a post calling out the copier directly rather than bringing Lisa into it. I don’t wanna discredit this artist either, but I doubt the top Lisa was wearing is a copy. It’s a fairly simple design and someone else probably just had the same design in mind. We’ll see I guess 🤷🏼♀️
