Just soothing music - no talk and boasting ...you let the tank just show its beauty to the world outside nature's coral reef. After many years of chasing the reef bug - this shallow method is the best for easier propagation of rare corals.
I know I have said it in previous comments but I absolutely love the beauty of your aquariums. It really shows how simple it can be. Your aquariums look better than most that have all kinds of complicated equipment. Bravo.
I saw that you somehow found my peasant yt channel in the past, and i’m extremely bitter for not checking out your own channel earlier 😤 Don’t watch reef yt vids much, but I must now make up for lost time and go binge on these sexy tanks for the next two hours
never realized you could do a great reef setup without a sump, skimmer, etc. i look forward to making vids of my tank as soon as the setup is finished. it will be my first saltwater tank.
New subscriber here. Your videos have opened my eyes and mind to a whole new 🌎. feel uplifted and tranquil when I watch and listen. The designer clown fish are so charming and delightful almost made my 👀 water. 🙏 for sharing your passion with us. It truly gives me a feeling of pure joy and peace.
Wow, you have such a nice tank and I can't believe you would take the risk of adding corals and fish without quarantining first! If I was going to add coral, I would remove the entire plug or snip the coral and glue to ensure no eggs. I remove the entire plug, re glue, add to a quarantine tank and then after a month or two, they go in the main display. Once you have nuisance pests, you never get rid of them. Sure, you can go fallow for iche, but this really made my tank unstable and I lost a few high end sps. Took nearly 9 months before the tank and sps were happy again and growing. Its such a delicate balance and a hard lesson to learn.
One of the most amazing things I've seen in my life was a salt water self sustaining coral and fish tank. Wasn't very big, probably 400 gallons? Have never seen another in person.
When I was involved with invertebrates I had a lot living rocks and coral, but I never saw a tank as nice as this. But in those days far to many creatures were from places that used cynide to take the animals.
Is there a dosing regiment you use? Like for alkalinity, cal, mag, or other elements? I’ve been following for over a year and your channel never ceases to amaze!
Really nice tank I’m curious how many gallons. Ive been interested in a shallow set up for those easy top down views. Frag tanks just don’t cut it for that same living reef wow factor! Good job !
This tank is incredible! You’ve done an amazing job! When doing your maintenance, do you siphon the sand or do you leave the sand bed alone during cleaning/water changes?
Danny i love your tank ❤ im starting to build mines too but i was wondering what you using the dip for ? Is it to clean the corals before you put them in clean water ? Thanks will be waiting to hear from you 😊
Look good man look the addition of the clowns questions and only becuase I know clownfish is known as Michael Jordan and known to jump will you add a mesh cover or something?
Hey dude, do you know a good Book/Site to learn about Tanks/Fishes/Corals because I really wanna begin a tank soon like this but I just don't know a good way to learn about this stuff.
Are the tank dimensions on this display 100x40x40? It certainly looks deeper than it is tall but hard to say given camera angles. The above dimensions are the only ones in the 40G(ish) range I could locate from ILA which is why I am asking.
There's enough water movement in the tank, during videos flow is turned off as this could trigger epileptic seizures and overall makes the video quality go bad.
