The greenhouse is absolutely beautiful. I’ve seen the cost of these types of greenhouses and they cost a pretty penny. For you to construct a gorgeous greenhouse out of mostly recycled materials was brilliant. Your vision to construct your protege garden in front and around your greenhouse will be beautiful I’m sure. Kudos to you both!
Several years ago, I saw a story about the couple who built the wall window cabin with one large wall of recycled windows in various sizes. I said "one day I will build that too." This past summer, a neighbor of mine started throwing out a bunch of old windows, from the late 1800's to early 1900's and milled at our local sawmill (now a museum.) I couldn't stop my car fast enough. Over several weeks, I collected about 29 windows from him (I've lost count) and an old door that looks like it is from a fire hearth side cabinet. When the moment strikes, you'd be surprised at what you can squeeze into a Toyota Camry! While another neighbor is a carpenter, and I offered to pay for his help, he is very busy. I know I will have to do this project on my own, and you have inspired me. Now, I just have to measure the door of my existing shed to see if will be able to get the preassembled wall out of the building, or if I will have to build on-site. You guys are blessed to work well with each other. Mr. Head, not once did you say NO when Mrs. Head asked for a larger size or other changes. You know the true meaning of "Happy Wife, Happy Life." I'm sure a drink or two along the way with some football helps too! Continued success and I wish you a long and happy marriage!
The quality of your videos had me thinking you probably had at least100k plus subs! What a surprise ... there's no doubt you will have them quickly enough -there's real artistry shinning through. Best RU-vid find for me in awhile.
Love every second of this video. I enjoy how well you two work together to make your dreams come true through love and support of each other. Take care. 💕🌱🌺🌱💖🌱

Yay!!! Someone that thinks like I do!! That’s what I been doing.. building my window greenhouse.. mine ended up going to 12x20.. 😂 I just found your page and yes!! Loving already ❤ I have been gathering windows for almost a year now.. then ran into a guy that remodels homes and he had stacks of storm windows and doors etc!! I’m so excited.. been working on this for months.. all by myself.. ❤
Great job on the greenhouse! Zack you put the puzzle together with skill! Great job & can’t wait to see how y’all complete it all. Your all so creative! Eleanor is precious & a great helper. Blessings on your family
The greenhouse is looking awesome. When it is all done it will be one-of-a-kind and spectacular. The dream of the protege garden will be beautiful too.
Your video was VERY impressive for sure on how you used "used" windows LOL WOW and the cross ventilation fan was a terrific idea to keep the air flow and temperature at a level that won't harm the plants. It's amazing how you started this Greenhouse 3 years ago...window by window and finally all of a sudden you manifested your Greenhouse into being!!! Very PROUD of you both for sure. Love the colors and can't wait to see your new garden. God is Blessing you Both for sure. Thank you for this fantastic video.
I think the fact that some of your windows had their ow personality is what will make your greenhouse so special and unique! I love that idea! Nobody else will have a greenhouse like yours! And if only windows could talk!! I mean seriously, just think of the history. Not only that, think of all that will happen once it becomes a working greenhouse. How much food begins there. How many beautiful flowers will get their beginning of beauty there! Can you use any windows for the roof? Well I see you won’t be using windows. DO YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO PAINT THE GREENHOUSE??? It looks so cute just the way it is!! It has so much character! I have a question? Will this greenhouse HOLD heat like a high tunnel? I don’t think I would want to make my potege’ garden fancier than my home. Make it look similar to what you have in your home. Just a thought I had. Since your greenhouse is made of old windows, maybe try to keep that theme.
The Green House is looking good. I liked how you did the presentation/story of the Green House. I like how you told about all the details, very interesting Now that you have a pitch roof you could put gutters that go to rain barrels to collect water for the Green House and Garden. My Grandbabies and I ike your channel. The Grandbabies alway like when Eleanor is in the videos because they are about the same age 😊👍🏼🐣🐓
Thank you for sharing this video! I love this greenhouse! I appreciate all of your hard work I will be waiting and watching for more I love y'all so much
Great video! I'm considering a similar build. A year later, what are some things yall would have done differently, if any? Both in functionality and style?
Hey there! I would definitely have put in a bigger vent fan. The 10 inch fan I put in isn’t bad, but a bit bigger would’ve been better. If you’ve got time to prepaint everything the color you want it to be that’s not a bad idea either. I might have leveled the ground a bit more or put thin cement blocks under the base of the walls, but it’s close enough and I like to garden barefoot so I’m glad I didn’t put down a gravel floor. Depending on your climate, it may not be necessary to have a completely clear roof. If it’s hot/warm most of the year, doing every other panel or even half and half may be a better option. I also found that I didn’t actually need the back wall to be windows because it’s a mostly south facing structure with shade on the backside from some nearby trees. Your northernmost wall may not need as many windows. Don’t sweat trying to get as many windows packed in as possible. I was super worried about that, but could’ve gotten away with way fewer windows. Overall, I’m still very happy with the design and functionality. Also, I bought a small, but powerful heater for the coldest part of winter and it did very well.
@@HeadFamilyFarm Thats excellent feedback! Thanks! Do you ever open the windows? Should I be concerned about placing the windows in ways that some open and have air flow or naw? Any concern about glass roof breaking from snow or hail? I like the look of the 100% windows! Thanks for the detailed response!
