I have to save constantly on the switch. It will close me out a lot. I still love the game, but yeah hopefully when they update it soon with Scar it will help with that. I keep watching design stuff. I have taken a few ideas, but here is an idea that I did for dazzle beach. I have Eric’s home over by the dock in dazzle beach, facing towards the dock. I put Donald’s house right next to the dock and then I put some stone all around the area and decorated it like port.

Yeah I’m trying to be hopeful that the crashes get better or go away after the next update. Also, that’s such a cute idea! I definitely need to rearrange the homes of Ursula, Donald, Ariel, etc. They have not been designed yet because I’ve been busy elsewhere 😅😆

Hi Im playing on switch to and I would love to decorate like this with lots of decor but I’m so scared to decorate similar to the way you do bc I’m scared it will crash more. Currently I have less crashing bc I cleared a lot of unnecessary trees and such but I’m wondering do you experience a lot of crashing as of right now after the first patch? Thanks and your valley looks so cute. I subscribed bc I want to see how you progress 😊

Thank you for subscribing & wanting to watch! After the latest patch update my game has only crashed one time, so it has improved a lot on switch now for sure. I still save here and there on top of the auto save just in case though 😉

I’m on switch and I’m still getting crashes every hour or so. I’ve barely moved anything yet. I’m fairly far through the quests but I’m also terrified that decorating will only cause more crashes so I’m avoiding it probably at least until the next update.

@@Pippemi If it happens frequently, it may be better to wait to decorate until after the next update. I feel like the crashes have effected everyone differently on switch. Let’s hope the next update comes soon, so you can decorate!

My switch crashes like every hour. It’s very frustrating. Harvesting vegetables takes time on the switch and than when it crashes I have to start all over again. Terrible. For the price I paid it’s Ridiculous.

How are you doing this on switch?!? I get so easily frustrated with how difficult/sensitive it is with trying to decorate - I think honestly because ACNH spoiled us with how easy it is to decorate in that game :p Your village looks amazing!! I'm jealous!

Thank you Meg! It literally takes ALL THE PATIENCE for me to do builds in DDV tbh 😅 You’re right though that ACNH spoiled us with the mechanics being so much better on switch though lol.

I find decorating exteriors on DDLV on the switch SO frustrating because of the controls.

How do you plant flowers in the empty crafted landscapes thingies? There is a circular one and a rectangular one. But they just have dirt in them. Do I have to craft them with something else to get flowers in them?

@Linda Vega - Once you make the flower beds, you should be able to craft again & have options of what flowers you want to put in them. Make sure you have flowers in your pockets or in storage first. You can also check Collections in your menu & see all the craft-able items. You’ll see all the flower bed options there & possibly what flowers you need for each one. I hope this helps!

I'm confused, I've upgraded my house till max. then added 2nd fl. however i cant reached it! I'm on Switch, and everytime going to 'elevator' the only option is to Expand House. but not getting upstairs. any suggestion?

Hey! I'm on the switch too, but want to do really detailed areas with tons of items. Do you think it will cause my fps to drop? I know the performance on the switch isn't great in the first place :(

@Mimii I haven’t noticed a difference after the few full builds I’ve done so far, but there is an update coming out today for Disney Dreamlight! Here’s to hoping playing on Switch is a bit better now too.

Yeah, I feel like it’s less common to see gameplay or builds from creators playing DDV on Switch, so that may be a good idea. I’ll make a note of that for sure!

I bought it at Scrooge McDuck’s shop! You may need to upgrade it once to get access to buy more items upstairs, but it showed up there two different times when I played 😄

I believe you unlock more paths to craft on your crafting table by completing quests and by discovering new materials. I hope this helps!
