My wand would probably be a controller (most likely GameCube) it might revolve around some sort of technology magic and my spells are cheat codes. Kinda dumb but could be funny

My wand would be a studded spiked choker . The reasoning behind it is would fit my metal rocker aesthetic and everytime I put it on I'll turn into a multi-specious goth monster or Oni 👹

My wand would be a band aid on the wand-owner. The ability would be to perfect adjust the wand owners body. for example, you could change how much you weigh. You can make yourself double jointed, flexible, ambidextrous. Some other effects could be better hearing, eyesight, smell, etc.

I'm ashamed that I had to look that up but maybe that goes to show that his blue outfit is more known for that reason. The black chunin exams outfit wasn't that complicated but his blue and white one was definitely more simple.

It’s the same reason that everyone started wearing the konoha jackets in Shippuden. Simplified it to meet deadlines instead of drawing everyone in their specific outfits

Never compare your art to other highly professional artist. Just take your time ok and I'm sure you'll do great just keep doing basic and move forward with complex things in art

@@trees1922 then the answer is this force yourself to not think bout details during a quick sketch because its a bit of like gesture drawing. The thing is you are suppose to get things done quickly with gesture and sketch so really details really don't matter because it slows you down. Your job is to get that feeling of the things you draw.

I love the way you came up with the name for Obi's wand, Shangorchukwu. That's a cool and meaningful way of adding your cultural influence to a character or series beyond just making the main character black like I did for one of my character designs. I really need to think for stuff like this. Also are you Igbo and were u born in Nigeria?

It's such a sensational feeling when you have a manga out, and you watch others and compare your characters to other anime characters. It is such a magnificent feeling to me. Just knowing that not only you watch Anime and read Manga's, but you actually have a manga of your own.

Gintoki from Gintama stopped wearing goggles for the sake of simplicity as well. It's pretty common. Goggles are a b**** to draw reiteratively, apparently. I'm not really familiar with Apple Black; definitely got to check it out by looking at the art. Can a wand be something like a prosthetic arm? That'd be kind of cool. Maybe have the arm interface with different weapons based on what the situation calls for.

My wand would be a sportswatch, and it would allow me to slow down time around me by slowing the pointers. The setback would be that the watch corrects itself after use, and slows me down until it's corrected

I really like that idea. It would work well if you had a friend or companion who could pick you up while you're frozen and make up for your abilities weakness while also kind of making them at a disadvantage cause they'd have to carry you. I could see it in a show as making some good comedic moments as well as good moments of tension as the audience or readers wait for the main character to be mobile again as something's happening. How'd you come up with the ability?

My wand would be a flute. Playing specific songs will allow you to control people into doing specific things. But you have to play a song that RELATES to what you want that person to do. Ex: you want someone to fall in love with you, then you have to play a song about someone falling in love. You can either play an already existing song, or you can create your own. The more you play, the better you become, and the more powerful and longer your control on other people is. That’s why beginners can usually only make people do basic, tame things like picking up an object, walking, or saying something for only a few minutes while masters can control someone into making a new identity, forgetting their entire lives, and even killing other people.

I guess my OC's wand would be a piece of whatever-material-the-best-running-shoes-are-made-of, which is then manufactured into a pair of running shoes, completely optimised for him. His magic would be super speed and the magic would also allow his brain to keep up with my velocity. I feel like to make it work he would have to wear no socks. His flaws must be extreme inexperience and uncreativity in using his OP powers, also hubris and must also be insufferable at first because probably his dad had those shoes made for him and he's a spoiled brat. Sorry if I misunderstood any parts of your power system Whyt. I don't read Apple Black, I just like your art and humble personality and thought this was fun so I did this

Your videos helped me a lot when I first started getting into character design, at first I had SOOO much ideas but I was so pressured into making my characters 100% original... which definitely didn’t motivate me. Then, I was analysing the designs of one of my favourite characters, I was wondering what caused me to be so attracted to his design, the answer was familiarity. After I discovered the reason why, I tried to sketch my very own character but of course it didn’t work out. But when I found this video in my feed it inspired me so much :) I got up and started drawing my FIRST actual character design! I’m doing pretty well right now! No more art block :D

My wand would be an anchor that can change size due to the power of gravity manipulations. So if he makes his wand heavier it expands. If he makes it lighter it gets smaller. He would be able to stick to walls, make microscopic black holes, bend the gravitational fields around him to manipulate the path of light to make himself invisible, make his attacks heavier to hit harder and make himself lighter to move faster. Also even make his opponents heavier to make them slower.

dude i follow you since years and i fucking love your style im drawing my whole life and bleach and tite kubo where one of my greatest influences visually. I feel really connected to your art because we share a really similar visual background(to a degree of course). You have a style where the influence is showing but when i see a drawing i dont think about kubo i instantly think about you. My wand would be contact lenses , allowing me to see blind spots in a battle making attacks easier as my character hates thinking during a fight , enhancing my eye sight so I can cheat on test by copying answers in class or look at books old men read around me that I’m not allowed to read🥴😂if that makes sense

Wand, Glasses. Super ability, Esper Psych of manipulation. Easily put, I can control objects around me, my character would carry pebbles, small objects, pebbles, bottles, trying to cover materials ranging from plastics, glass, mirrors. Ideally he would wear leather jacket, older figure, wise and cunning with a goofy side. The glasses themselves is something he doesn't wear all the time, as he likes to wear 'fake' ones. 3 years a go, although I like what you go going on here, thats awesome. Loved the vid!

I'm starting on a comic series that takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where science has allowed humans to modify their cells and physiology and assume characteristics of other organisms. The main character Amelia was supposed to have a mechanical right arm until i just forgot to keep drawing it. But she kept her mechanical eye, and I have plans to tie it in with the plot and especially the antagonist. So it can be good to abandon or "forget" something that doesn't work for the story.

My wand would be a paint brush like one of those in Naruto which Sai uses. But instead of scrolls i can draw with them anywhere in the air . The drawing can creat objects or any animal or any kind of guard which may protect me from direct attacks. Also the brush can be switched into a small kunai knife which can help me in close range combat.

My wand would be a sunflower. In its base form it would be a massive double handed weapon type thing where the petals are massive serrated blades. It’s secondary form would be smaller sunflowers without a stem that I can use as if they were magic ( like they levitate around me and stuff )

I think my wand would be one of my piercings, or my necklace that I always wear. I feel like my power would be something to do with psychology. Not mind control but maybe a type of manipulation or something. In real life, my experience is everyone who comes in opening up to me and telling me they feel comfortable talking to me and just sharing. So, maybe it'd be an extreme of that. Like, maybe I could extract secrets or truths from people. This was fun to think about! ^_^

My wand is my pencil. This muffa summons wonders with that thing. Other than that, I think any stick I find on the ground in nature would be my wand for some way different magick. Like all sticks are the same wand, so I just need whichever one is within reach at any given time. Don't make my pick up that stick.

Prepare for a big-ish one: My wand would be a re-sizing hair-tie bracelet that can let whatever body part it is attached to, yes including hair, to enhance its properties, like if I put it on my arm, that arm would be a super punch, or I put it on a sword and it gets the elemental power, so even if whatever i have my bracket attached to broke, I would still have my wand. And I could use it on my self or my allies what way and enhance their power if it is placed on another wand. OOooO! Maybe this bracelet could be a plot point for something down the line/ i really like this now that I'm typing it. it was originally about controlling hair and depending on what different hairstyle you had, the properties would change, so you could have multiple "powers" or variants depending on how you did your hair. and bald setting would be unlimited POWA. but yeah, I would want something along those lines.

my general ability would be to create a tiny surrounding area where my body can react at a high accelerated rate and control objects or subjects in its circumference for a minim of 5 mins. when my power sets back to ordinary time my body takes a severe toll and my brain gets disoriented cause of the sudden shock of the end of my impulse. My wand would be some sort of visual implements i don know contact lenses or something(lol) they would heighten my perception of time and space while also negating the strain my body takes when my impulse levels drop. I'd call them Hermes .now a second power they would have maybe breaking the walls of ivory (which wall comes first ebony or ivory i forgot will search later) i would be able to make multiple copies of that generated area and transmit it to my opponents its limited proximity expands and i hold dominion of that person until my time limit ends again . if i lived in apple black I'd wanna be a cloak

Could you do a video talking about your eduction? I’ve been debating about going back to college. I want to switch from being a graphic designer to drawing and writing comics and I’d love to hear about what you majored in and why you chose to get a masters degree and how your professors influenced your art.
