anywho here is a short one shot AU/idea
Mystery and Mao Mao are already friends/lovers in this AU (you can see it how ever ya want to) They are happy, tho Shiromori has plans for Mystery and uses her powers to posses Mystery and make him turn into his ktisune form. She orders the now possesed Mystery to kill Mao Mao (in order to take over Pure Heart Valley with her forest). Mao Mao thinks its some attack/betrayal by Mystery, they have a battle for a while until Mystery has the upper hand and Mao Mao is no use for the kitsune. Now Mystery kills Mao Mao leaving Pure Heart Valley in shock and in depression. Vivi cant believe her dog & friend killed a hero and Adorabat is sadden her mentor died from the one person he trusted most (was gonna add Badgerclops too but time was limited so he'd be angry). Mystery can't believe he let Shiromori take possession of him and now he lives with the guilt of killing somebody close to him.
