I was listening to this song while i was suffering from depression and i was thinking about trips.Thankfuly now i'm ok.Hope you are doing good as well.
At a colleagues wedding (Sri Lankan F to a Polish M) This came on, all the Poles got up and started Discoing out. Never forgotten it, so unexpected but such a joyous reaction. Loved the song ever since.
I was born in 98, but these songs from the 80s give me such a good feeling, and as if I missed them, I miss a year I never lived, the songs from the 80s are very good, I liked them
💯 still an epic song. Was making coffee this morning and it just popped into my head, grabbed my phone and played it. It's great to see so many people in 2021 still loving this song. Think the pandemic has made people very nostalgic missing the golden days when life was amazing! Bring back the 80's and 90's please.
I'm down in the South of France as I write this, my first time as a grape picker on the bus from UK to Paris to perpignan in the dying light of the late 1970's, I was 19 ...... now I'm 61 and still return to Canne ... Antibes .... Theoule Sur Mer .... Agay on the "Esterel" year after year ....whenever this comes on "Radio Monaco" and other such channels, it instantly transports me back to a time before worries and responsibilities, and the vagaries of life...... a timeless gem in the ruff, never dates .....
Broomehall wish to visit France one day while I'm still young and healthish... Working on my french so she I visit in the next 5yrs I would already be fluent in French... Also Portuguese and Japanese because I wanna also visit Japan and Brazil
This song drives me some remote place that I've never been. It's quite comfort and depressing, in a way I can't precisely describe. Somehow I just love it.
A lot of time ago, i listened this music in a travel with my mother and my Stepfather. He died few months later, and i still miss him... Rest in peace, Luis...
from the days when I was not able to understand a single word except Voyage, to learning french and to finding the lyrics on Google, life came long way. But it is still masterpiece from childhood memories & it is still one of my favorites when I am nearing 46. God bless Desireless Band for creating this masterpiece.
I remember myself, 4 or 5 years old in the middle of the eighties, going around town with my mom, as she went to every music record store asking for any record that would have this song. Eventually she got it. Today listen to the music you want is most trivial. At that time you had to be lucky to catch it on radio or find in stores.
I made dozens of cassette tapes recorded from radio... I'd stay up entire nights waiting for the song I wanted, only to have the presenter talk over it!
@@Angarsk100 That was classic. Some record stores would charge a fee for letting you record songs from the albuns they had for sale, but the cheapest way was to record direct from radio. The best way would be wait for way after midnight when there was no presenter, but a DJ putting on the songs and hope for the one you wanted. Or just record the entire set and then maka a second(and worst) copy.
This beautiful is bringing back sweet memories in the Comoros Islands, early 90s. OMG what a better combination than youth, love, good health, good friends. Dear God, if only we could stay young for longer....😢
Most of the music industry has become (like sadly more and more domains) just a shameless cashgrab with soulless garbage being produced, with exactly the same beats, the same tempo, the same (not even great) things over and over again. True quality in terms of music nowadays will either get drowned in the middle of the garbage, or you have to look at video game music, movies, series and anime soundtracks to find greatness rather than what gets released as a standalone music.
This is one of those songs my father made me love in the early 2000s, from that moment i became one of those kids that most people cringe at with the "born in the wrong generation" thing. But i dont care, im retro and i love it
In a lot of ways it's even better because you can decide your own feelings and emotions about the song and what the music means rather than just what is being said in the lyrics.
Not in America: for 20 something years I have never ever heard a song in any foreign language played on different radio stations. At first, I was determined to seek and find foreign songs on radio waves. No such luck. Now I don’t do it any longer: I have RU-vid.
My grandma introduced me to this song. We didn't really get to hear this song in the USA. She lived overseas, loved this song, and bought me the cassette.
