Having seen dogs die just after a single crash, the fact that a dog that small could survive, and even go back to life is heartwarming. It still surprises me that he didn't have any major breaks. One of my friends had his leg run over by a truck at the school parking lot, and he had a complete compound break of his leg, but the fact that a dog can get through that without major breaks or just death is astonishing.

For some people, getting stung by bees or hornets can be deadly, so anti venom is also important. A few years ago a huge hornet nest under the eaves of house needed removal. We called a “bee catcher” for live removal. The captured hornets would then be used to make anti venom.

These vets remind me of the surgeon that worked on and saved my little teils life. My 2 year old teil had string caught in his gullet from unsafe bird toys (marketed as safe) that wrapped around the stones in his gullet and caused a huge impaction. Less than 10% chance of survival. But the vet still agreed to do the surgery and he's still sitting here with me today. Thank you to the amazing vets who work so well with our pets. Our babies mean the world to us. I couldent imagine living in a world without my boy.

The goat had be rescued from the staff. Because he was so cute. Unfortunately he want be to happy that he can't sleep on the bed with his dad. With trauma, the damage done can be assessed at the time they present for Veterinary care. But..some things not immediately detectable can develop, like brain damage. Things like bleeding between the brain and the skull, causing pressure or bleeding damage to the tissue of the brain itself. That's why Freddy needed time at the practice for observation. Once assured of his condition, then the doc can release the pet to the Guardian, or said another way in this case, to Freddy's mum.
@jeannegallegos8410
@jeannegallegos8410 2 года назад
I am seeing this episode with Freddy for maybe the 4th time. I thought I could see his brain and mind actually trying to work out what had happened to him. I think that Freddy won't remember it much. If a human had undergone the trauma that this little dog 🐕💓 had, his mind would protect him by not remembering all the gruesome details. A bit of protective amnesia. What did happen for him, and I think he will remember, is the love that surrounded him. From the courageous man who rescued him, to his Mum and to Nathan and to Scott and to his siblings and other family (maybe a Dad?) All that love 💕 is so very vital in his recovery. The Providence that not only saved his life but also allowed only a few injuries for Freddy to recover from is truly miraculous. And the stranger who removed Freddy from the street - he was like an angel, a Guardian Angel. I hope Iwona was able to get contact information from this brave so she could share her little boy's progress. He actually did put his life on the line to step out into the traffic to rescue the little animal who needed him so badly. Honestly, I didn't think he would be spared from so much injury that could have happened, like the brain injuries that could have resulted. So many more critical organ and spine and bone breakages could have happened. But Freddy Was Spared. His heart, lungs,, kidneys, liver, spleen...I am so amazed by the Lord God I believe in! He spared this little creature for the sake of his Mum and the others who love him. No, this doesn't happen for everyone. Why? I don't know and I won't play the game of "Why?" I don't want to presume to speak for this proof of His mercies. I am just so grateful that this wonderful miracle happened. ♥️❣❣💕💕💜🤍💛💙🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕😍🥲💕

Such a brave good little boy I am so glad for his recovery. However it does seem to me that there are an awfully lot of car versus dog or cat in the UK. If that many cars drove over this poor little dog, what else do they drive over? The fact that probably 2 or 3 cars ran over this dog before he was rescued seems a bit much. 😪😪🐕Blessings to the man who stopped to rescue the dog and the owner .

Little Freddie was extremely lucky he only had some pelvic fractures. I think he may have been in a state of shock or if there's such a thing or term if a dog gets a concussion. I might sound silly but the symptoms fit. Allison going to the 🐪🐫 Farm was cool to see. I have road a 🐫 b4 which are more rare bc they usually just have 1 🐪. I had no clue you could make products from Camels milk! You learn something new every day! Didn't realize they could get ovarian cysts like a human but it makes them not be able to carry a calf. N I'm glad puddles was doing better after 2 weeks. Horrible way to get brought into the world n I wondered if why he didn't stand up is bc of the mud n water making it to slippery. Australia can keep all their venomous 🐍 and funnel web 🕸️ 🕷️! Oh and the paralysis tick bc those are just awful!!!

Everything gets concussions.... camels, whales, platypus, kangaroos... literally everything. And everything with ovaries can get ovarian cysts. It is often said that dogs have a good sense of smell, but do you know how good your dog's sense of smell actually is? In fact, it is said that dogs' sense of smell is 100 million times better than that of humans. That's why there are many dogs that use their sense of smell to the fullest, such as police dogs and drug detection dogs. However, it may be hard to imagine what kind of world 100 million times smells like. There is a possibility that what humans perceive as a good scent may be unpleasant to your dog...?🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐶🐶🐶🐶💖💖💖💖💖💖

Little Freddy is a beautiful Italian Greyhound. His personality is not only an individual trait but is part of his breed's characteristics, am I correct? I know that the larger greyhounds have a sweet, gentle nature. That is, when not trained for the racetrack. It's great that many of them can successfully go through behavior modification to retire to private families at home. I just wish there were no such things as dog racing businesses. 😪 I see them as exploitive and just not good for the dog's. My opinion.
@deborahmack6662

I believe you are correct. No good can ever come from racing the greyhounds. They should be born free to live with a good, loving family. My opinion only. 🐾💖🐶
@strashnayavedma9674
@strashnayavedma9674 2 года назад
I agree with that opinion. I first learned the awful truth about puppy mills when I got my first real job in a pet shop. After that I dove right into rescue and various other animal welfare issues and was really horrified by all I found! Imo, when a profit is being made from animals (barring some obvious exceptions like vet work) the animals almost always get the bad end of the stick. There's many issues with the greyhound racing industry!!
@douglasgriffiths3534
@douglasgriffiths3534 2 года назад
Greyhound racing is a terrible business. I live in AZ, and we used to have several dog tracks across the state. All are closed now. I remember a few years ago several dogs were found dumped (they were dead) in an orange grove with their ears removed (these dogs are tattooed on their ears for ID purposes when racing). Apparently, they did not do well on the track, so were killed and dumped. The owner was eventually found, and did some prison time for this horrific crime. Greyhounds are wonderful dogs, and these dogs did not deserve to be treated this way. (Jan Griffiths).
