How technically adept are these guys. I mean seriously, that drummers meticulous like a machine. Pure quality vocals and instrumental support all around.
Lol this band is a classic band. MVP, Fainted Blue Ornaments, etc.. they made something no one had at the time. And although people may say this is 'mainstream' (and it may totally be now) they did not follow in other's footsteps. Other 'mainstream' bands are following theirs. It's kind of a similar aspect to Whitechapel. People argue that Whitechapel sounds like every other Deathcore band but in reality some of it just sounds like Whitechapel lol. And aren't even close to the recognition status they deserve. They may look gangsta but they were pretty brutal. And the drums :O
Go ahead and judge what they wear and call them new age titles. They started alot of the tech/metal influence on bands you love. BOW DOWN. Here up in East coast Canada- Fuck fashion, about soul and passion.

Honestly, because their music is fake and hip-hop attitude is irritating. Try listening to bands like Broken Hope, Immolation, Suffocation, Defeated Sanity and Wormed instead.
Jurica Grčević Never heard of any of those bands actually, ill give them a try. The main deathcore bands I listen to are Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Upon a burning body and Suicide silence.
That genre is called death metal. Mine favourite. I see you're not familiar with this kind of music so I suggest you another few bands that rule in death metal world: Nile, Morbid Angel, Gorguts, Ulcerate, Bolt Thrower, Disincarnate... . But for first try I would suggest a band called Cynic and their first album Focus. Have a good time, dude. \m/

Here in 2022... Man how the haters comments aged like milk. One of the most progressive bands of their time, amazing musicians, amazing songwriters and clearly ahead of their time.
I don't see anything wrong with "hip hop" attitude in this amazing song, probably (as their t shirt says) they come from Deez Nutz school and all hardcore stuff like that, do they really have to change their "clothing" and growing long hair to "stay true"? Please guys. This is one of the best bands of the last 10 years.
hardcore bands normally have short hair, the long hair is for the metalcore bands ;) But yes, this song is legit and i like their style as far as the way they dress.
I could never get bored of this band, most metal sounds the same it's bands like this that stand out, you can tell them apart from any band and they sound absolutely brutal and there talented
the melodic breakdowns are dope as fuck . It's awesome that they don't rely on lows to make a breakdown that'll kick your ass; just imagine how tight that shit would sound with a bass drop or two in the right spots

Great track. The natural drum sound from 0:40 on is amazing, especially the cymbals. And I love how people judge them by their look. Hey, you superbrains: It's not how you look or how old you are, it's about the sound you play. But it's kinda true: Turn the volume down and the whole vid looks 100% like from a hip-hop band.
Despised Icon are beasts! Saw them years ago on Easter, in a little bowling alley in Moorhead, Minnesota. There were less than 20 people but they went fucking hard. At the end of the night I stayed around and hung out with these guys guys for an hour or more. Super chill, awesome dudes.

hey folks. this came out like 5 years ago. and it's their last record. so if anything, these new bands copied them. at least these guys had structure and carried classic elements of the genre. and since when does being a sports fan make u a poser? educate yourselves before making presumptuous comments, people.

It's wild that the music is this good but God damn is the video a product of its time. Kind of bummed it didn't carry them further because they are a legit heavy ass band.

Let's be real. BTBAM is some weak wannabe Isis bullshit. The good shit is in the more "typical" deathcore bands like early SS, early Carnifex, early Whitechapel, etc.
***** I just don't have any arrogance about my taste. When I look for deathcore, I look for shit that has me bouncing off the walls. If I want thinking man's music, I look elsewhere. Be it melodic hardcore, power metal, prog rock, or some good ol' Wagnerian operas, whatever it may be, it's something that can actually function as a vehicle for ideas. Deathcore by its very nature is eclectic and disorganized, leaving little to no room for anything truly progressive. Not to mention, BTBAM sounds like a really shitty Isis rip off. If you want prog and post metal, stick with the bands that do it right.
Oh, I actually play guitar but I do it for personal satisfaction reasons. I have no intention of joining or creating a band. Haha so you are the type of person who listens to this type of music eh? Well, it's good to know what the fans are like. Ignorant and obnoxious.
