They really should just allow you to downgrade ascendant shards and prisms to lower tier mats. I would love to convert 1 ascendant shard into 100 cores.
Knowing Bungie it wouldn’t be a 1 to 1 conversion so it would be more like 1 shard to 75 cores and 1 prism to 7 cores. Essentially 3/4ths of the value when downgrading. And even then I would be perfectly fine with that
Many of us have been asking for this for YEARS and it just gets bypassed... They announced a TON of good changes to the currencies and economy and many thought that would be it, but all we got was increased capacities LMFAO. Just like a lot of these QoL changes lately, its ridiculous we have had to wait YEARS for them, probably wont get the direct conversions until the end of Final Shape, 🤡's.
30 legendary shards for 1 core is goofy. That's robbery. Right next to the 400 legendary shards for the Ascendant Alloy. They need to reduce those numbers big time.
@@anonymousautumn9890 yeah. I'm just going to purchase the alloys and shards between now and season 3. That should run me out about half way. It sucks that they won't even repurpose them for something else. Such a slap in the face to the veteran players.
The Gunsmith bounties are the best method by far. Pick up the bounties, jump into a lost sector, and complete the 4 bounties in a few minutes. Do this on 3 characters, and you’ll have a guaranteed 12 enhancement cores in under 30 minutes every day.
Bro 12 in a day... I use more in 30 seconds of making a new crafted weapon, if you wanna suggest people do them passively while doing other things, sure but 20 mins for 12 cores ? No ty, other methods give other rewards on top
I think you should be able to upgrade and downgrade materials with no lost materials. Same thing with Weapons and Armor, when breaking them down, you should get all invested materials back.
no because if you get everything back you cant lose any materials, and that way if you have a certain amount it would be technically infinite and then you might aswell not have any materials in the game at all
@@powwerfoxx if you keep the rolls on weapons and armor you got, then you do not get those materials back. You would still lose materials. From my personal experience, it would help to declutter my vault. I keep Exotic Armor with literally 1-3 stat points differences because of the fact of the material loss should I delete them. It just makes more sense to hoard them instead.

If you run GMs or even Masters you get like 5 Prisms per run and the places to spend them are very limited so may as well trade prisms for cores at a loss.
Anybody who sinks time into endgame is SWIMMING in prisms. Hell, just 4 or 5 gms and i went from being in the 20s to the 50s. So yes, technically a loss, but it’s a loss many of us are willing to eat for the sake of those beautiful cores
I farm the lost sectors solo in 4-8 mins per run I need to see how fast the nightfall farm can be with the ghost mod I'll come back and let you all know 🫡 low on prisms so I'm holding that L but with the nightfall possibly dropping prisms as well it might be the best.
@Debaoth just do lost sectors. This week with the double xp and double rewards is nice, but if you're not doing master nf it's not worth the time investment compared to speed running the lost sector and still getting prisms as well.
@@IZUNAMI14 I was getting like 5 and you can get 3 doing a lost sector with under half the time in a lost sector, and it's even faster if you have someone with you. (You can get more if using the ghost mod, but just drilling lost sectors will still yield a way faster gain imo)
I'm literally under 100 Cores atm! I maaaaaay have paid zero attention to how many weapons I was levelling up 😄😄😄 That said, grabbing bounties from Banshee is always a good shout. I do it pretty much every day, grab those, grab Zavala, Drifter, Shaxx, Destination whatever you're doing. Slap on the level 6 XP Mod on your Ghost & you can chunk through your Season Pass at the same time!
@@chaoticpuncher8756no, attack is about 3-4 mins slower then defend, defend is the best alloy farm in the game and takes around 6-7 mins per run for 1-2 prisms attack takes like 11-12 mins
@@illumitiDash I may have got them confused. Either way 12 minutes or less for a 2/3 alloy farm is solid compared to the 20 minute long story missions or seasonal activities
dont use it they are shit, thunderlord does with every buff/debuff around 95k damage per second, a proper damage rotation withg izanagi , a slugshotgun and apex predator does atleast 250k dps, lmgs are only good for adclear

you can’t get them anymore. they finally realized it’s a stupid currency and it would be better to just reward the enhancement core. few seasons ago it used to just give you a chance to earn an enhancement core upon killing a boss so it wasn’t even a guarantee
