Destiny 2 Final Shape Ending - The Witness Final Boss Fight 

Seeing the human and Eliksni children play with the war beast pup made me have the biggest smile, it show how far the world in destiny has come

When Zavala said "we've been fighting for so long and now we've won" dude i felt that. Exactly how i felt after that mission. Feelsk so weird

20:01 - 20:07 That was probably one of the most wholesome moments in destiny 2. Literally after the battle has been won, children of different species are actually getting along together. Eliksni and human kids actually playing and having fun. 😊 I just hope cabal children have a better chance as well, and possibly the hive under Savathun's guidance.

Destiny’s storytelling has always floated between “pretty good” and “outright bad”, but I genuinely think The Final Shape is the first time Destiny has achieved incredible storytelling. The whole campaign was unbelievable, the best thing Bungie has done since the Halo trilogy (yes I know it’s not the same people), but Cayde’s arc in particular was a masterstroke of storytelling. I thought bringing back Cayde was going to be cheesy and hamfisted, but really they delivered an extremely powerful narrative about coping with loss and the nature of existence. Cayde’s final sendoff was the best moment in the entire Destiny franchise, and was on par with Chief’s “wake me, when you need me” at the end of Halo 3. Abso-fucking-lutely incredible writing, Bungie deserves a standing ovation for this masterpiece of an expansion.

10 years in the making boys. Are we really here after the finish line?

This is by far the best DLC Bungie has actually did since The Taken King and Forsaken. I'd say this is my #1 in my top 3 best Destiny DLCs.

I noticed when The Witness finally dies it spills light energy everywhere as opposed to the usual orange resonance energy you normally see radiating out when a disciple or other darkness enemy dies. I think it's meant to mean that the last attack was actually forcing the light into the Witness's body to such a high degree that it overpowers the darkness

R.I.P Cayde i tried so hard not to cry at the last scene with Cayde, i failed so bad. It was an honor 10 years cant believe it

As a Titan I make it my duty to get back up when something knocks me on my ass. But that scene of Cayde reviving our ghost flatlined my ass with no respawn tokens. I cried... a lot...

The Final Shape made me get back into Destiny 2 again after not playing since Beyond Light.

Rest in peace cayde, you played the deal pretty damn good id say. You never lost the bet, you won. Because we got to spend the last battle alongside you. I got hooked up with destiny from the first game, continued playing that one until i got my ps5, then played destiny 2, and now...to see it end? Man...i feel so happy growing up with such an amazing game

I know it's only a short sequence, but I love that ambience music in the Traveler's Light during the whole sequence where Cayde shows up and restores Ghost... is there an official track of that? And if not, I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could extract that.

I started playing destiny since it came out, and playing it until now, until the end, was worth it. This game gave me the best fireteam i could have asked for. Eyes up guardians.

Glad I was there to finish this game finally, this ending was so awesome. Finally defeating a long time war and the way everyone unite to fight against the witness, is something we will never forget. I mean we finish the witness but the darkness is always there to fight it and its true that some of the witness main followers flew away trying to hold up and rebuild somewhere else. For a minute I thought that our ghost was killed but in the end cade use all his light to save our ghost. Also this soundtrack is also so peacefull that makes me want to cry, because is the ending and everything we being doing since 2017, was worth it. ( For the ones we still playing the game ). Know for the future, who knows if there is gona be a third game, they where rumors for the beginning about a third game, but like I said who knows what new enemy will bring this time. What we can said at the end, is that we are the once that we make our own history in life, no one decides what is our destiny like the witness try to do.

This the best DLC I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE.

I cant get over Ghost's "We did it" just before the mission ends. He literally pushed himself to his absolute limit which is saying a lot because hes been breaking apart this entire expansion anyway. He deserves to be the one to say that, and he just sounds so relieved and victorious in the way he said it. That little king ended a war spanning generations.

Alright, gotta give it to Bungie. That felt like a hell of a finale. The boss fight was next level, and I'm not gonna lie...the interaction between Cayde and the Guardian...had to find out who was cutting onions soon as he said "You tell them..." I knew what was coming. Credit where credit is due. Great job. The rest of this DLC felt kinda meh..but this. This was spectacular and honestly without Nathon Fillon, just wouldn't have hit as hard. God he's a great actor.

This was alright. I think The Final Shape was a decent expansion considering what Bungie had to work with, but I do think it's true that the story went down a pretty boring path a long time ago and it really could have been more interesting overall. I liked Destiny so much more when we were fighting enemies that were part of a race that we've been fighting for the last decade, not some random ancient being that seemingly just showed up one day and still feels completely out of place years later. I think TTK remains by far the best expansion throughout the entire franchise, it felt like it carried more weight and while we didn't have any main character casualties back then the mystery surrounding the world created a much more threatening atmosphere. Something being predictable doesn't necessarily make it bad, but there comes a point where being able to easily guess the outcome of the story every time gets a little frustrating. I'm glad Destiny is over now, this franchise deserves to be put to rest after so many years of being mishandled and poorly managed.

Shoutout to both Final Shape and Endwalker final battles for showing off the human perseverance and Will to Live.

If I remember correctly lore has stated that the Witness has a lot more disciples so I wonder if any of them will try to fill the power vacuum left behind, maybe they can be antagonists? Idk but it would be cool to see more disciples.

I like to think when our ghost died he was actually looking for us in the after life. Hence why he says “guardian, There you are” when coming back to life.

Cayde is still alive, he gave his light so he could revive your ghost. He lives in every guardian.

Really liked when you used the banner emote just before going to the first damage phase - nice way to say "here we stand".

That moment when you realize cayde-6 told everyone that they're his favorite to pull everyone's leg one last time.

The soundtrack is so f*cking amazing. Through all the highs and lows of this game, one thing bungie always delivered on was the music. The track of this final fight literally has elements of every "main theme" year by year incorporated into it, what an eargasm, my god.

I say this with every fiber of my being. Michael, thank you. There has never been a soundtrack that made me feel the way the last 10 years have. Halo was prime but destiny was a whole different animal.
