Destiny 2 - FINAL SHAPE REVEALED? Vex Born From Darkness! Origin and The True Final Shape 

The story of Destiny started with the Vex. Logically, the story should end the same.

At 1:53 I must think of the Conway's Game of Life and funny enough, I just watched some videos on RU-vid about that.

And The Radiolaria (the Vex) are single cell organisms with Silica Shells that are in the Vex Milk. one drop of vex milk can contain Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands Vex! Fun Fact: They actually exist IRL!

The Vex are robotic, and thus have binary thought. Everything comes down to “yes” or “no” ultimately, and all Vex seek the same ending, just in different ways. Sol Divisive seeks to worship Darkness and survive by the power of that, while most Vex seem to be out on their own, going to timeline mechanics to force their hand, but even fewer Vex seem to have thoughts of partial alliance with us, in cases like the Vex letting us into the Vault of Glass to rid it of Taken, or the Captain Jacobson encounter, or even Asher Mir’s possible transformation. While the origins of the Vex are very hard for us to understand, it would seem that as it stands, the Vex as we know them seem to be a “child” of both forces, and they want to prove their worth. A personal theory of mine is that the “flower game” that’s played many times by the Light and Dark is actually confirming a scientific theory: the Big Bounce theory. It’s essentially the theory that the Big Bang is not the only one, where all matter explodes from an indeterminate point, and all matter eventually bounces back into where it originally came from, like how the ripple effect starts from displaced water and crashes back into itself. I like pondering this stuff if you couldn’t tell

Also, the darkness despise the vex. It couldn't wipe them out, because they can exist outside time itself.

@@twelved4983 the vex are organic, not robotic, and their origins are not that complicated for anyone with any basic understanding of the laws of physics, biology, mathematics, And 20+ years of multicultural education specializing in Language, History, Mythology, Folklore, and Theology of Ancient Civilizations.. I'd imagine Volantis is probably encased in a Dyson Sphere or some sort of megastructure like that.... Like a giant ringworld.... It is Bungie after all.

@@IASEAGLE5 it is also speculated that we may visit beyond Sol, as mentioned by Savathun during a 2T2L session. We may end up having to go somewhere beyond our home system for once, which would be incredibly exciting

they were the final shape of the flower game (the deterministic universe without light and darkness that came before the universe we see in destiny) so they are the best candidate out of everyone, even more so than the hive imo. but it's a new game with different rules, so something different will happen this time.

which is not a good thing , we leaving the vex alone because we busy with the darkness gives them the time they need to be a bigger threat to us

Well, to be honest this is true. In reality, the Vex were a placeholder threat for Season of the Splicer before Savathun's reveal. Since Quria, we have heard little, even in lore. But this could allude to a retreat and a chance for the Vex to restrategise. The Sol Divisive and Sol Inherent of the Black Garden did something the Vex don't really focus on all too much, meddle in and be able to utilise to some extent the Light and Dark. This kinda makes these sub collectives a rogue element in relation to the greater collective which means that the Vex might not be trying to utilise these powers anymore. They might even be trying to destroy said powers, allowing their victory to come about. Its only a theory but it kinda explains why the wider collective isn't concerned with these forces and are only interested in their understanding in order to find a way to out do it and achieve victory.

I’d say offstage, waiting for the next act.

They're conceptually the most interesting of the hostile species. But also probably the hardest to write good drama with because they're so inscrutable by design.

Wyverns aren't the only ones. But they're the weakest combat frames of the vex. The Wyverns are basically goblins in vex military

If I recall correctly, they're referring to the bit of dialogue Calus mentioned about how we've yet to fight real Vex warriors. All we've encountered so far are workers, builders, etc.

@@phant0m871 which is scary as hell because their already hard enough to kill they would be almost unstoppable if they used their full military. We also have no idea what gives them their time travel. Is it an object? A god? Or something entirely else. The writers could go so many ways with the vex.

@@khiF3206 well somebody hasn't face Vex in Gambit cuz they are bullshit in that game I don't hate them but they're annoying especially the minotaurs that and maybe the hobgoblins healing after shooting at them if you don't have a one-hit kill weapon

From the looks of it, the Black Heart was like a giant Taken essence. I wonder what the “pale heart” may be. Maybe it’s not quite like that tho, as the words “pale heart” said by the Witness are not capitalized.

@@twelved4983 I take it more as what is in the traveller rather than a literal heart, or poetic description of a central object such as in the Black Garden.

@@twelved4983 Heres my two cents. He called his heart pale because of the lack of Malevolence or Benevolence. And the lack of activity makes sense too. Seeing how the Traveller hasn't spoke or made any signs of life. Or maybe the pale heart could be a reference to the Traveller being an A.I? All are possible.

There's lore about this. The Black Heart was bait, designed to be found by the Guardians. Destroying it alerted its creator (probably the Witness) that the Traveler was healing and would become powerful enough to become a threat again.

Its possible the black heart or black hearts aren't sufficient and the heart of the traveler will become necessary for the witness to power his ultimate machine.

Nah, i don't think so. Based on how the Gardener grew increasingly frustrated that the final shape was always the same and predictable (the Vex surviving). The Winnower enjoyed that tho.

@@thegrimsilence499 radiolaria is a silicon based life form, and we know it can create glass like material. So it's possible first vex frames were made from this "glass" and gathered better materials to build better frames

some of us really expected to go in that portal for the beyond light raid. we were disappointed. would have been cool

Volantis could have a raid, but given that non-lightbearer forces have successfully entered the portal and fought off insurgents, I think a dungeon at the portal makes more sense thematically.

It 100% wasn't planned, or at least not early on. There was a lot of miscommunication between teams and many plot threads ended up getting cut or rearranged last minute for the first game.

I always thought it was poetic that destiny one ended with us fighting the fallen like how we first started the game.

They just want to chill and vibe but everyone messes it up heck if they need a job I need gardening done I'll pay in classic rock music which they love

Watch as the final shape has them be the main villain focus again, we stopped them at the end of the base game of d1 at the start, would be cathartic to do it again

Is there any lore saying Wyverns are combat units? I’ve thought maybe they’re mining units, with blasters to pulverize rock and the wing shields to protect other units from debris.

Fallen also got their own exapnsions in the house of wolves and house of iron. House of iron is technically more about SIVA, but the fallen are using it so it kinda counts

Well, we fight units not meant for combat. Combat vex frames are probably more mobile. We kinda see it with first one we saw, the Wyverns, with their slam attack
