Anyone else spent so much time grinding away at strikes that you developed a deep hatred for bungies shitty rng when you don't see an exotic for weeks and when you do it's the same year one you already gotten 6 times...literally 6 times before...fuck you hard light Easy fix, have specific exotics drop from doing specific events.

I'm gonna be so pissed when I get this boss and don't kill it. I know it's gonna happen. Once I finally get it, my team will forget how to play and we'll lose and I'll never see the boss for another week.
Liltr Choj it happened to me and my clanmates. It really pissed us off because we were way ahead of the opposing team. They were collecting motes around 27 and we got our primeval first. And fortunately a corrupted servitor spawned but when the opposing team saw that we had a servitor spawned on our side, the opposing team just kept invading us until they caught up and killed their primeval. It’s so bullshit
Bryan Zea After all the complaining from both the PVE AND the PVP players about locking exotics behind PVP game modes, lets face it Gambit IS a PVP mode, they would have realized you DONT force people into modes and that you dont pile RNG on top of RNG on top of RNG. Just another area Bungie threw out the baby with the bathwater when designing Destiny 2.
Lol same here. After killing the mini bosses and bosses in the dreaming City, it got difficult lol since I play solo most of the time, had to see what the quest was for.
Love how high end players that get all the guns and gear first find the loop holes and get stuff easier and sooner. then Bungie fixes everything making it harder for normal players. And so many exotics are locked behind pvp. Not enjoying this.
pvp weapons take pvp to earn, its just how it is. and people that spend alot of time playing the game are going to be the best at exploiting it regardless if bungie fixes things or not.
KiddBlack66 you do know why everyone hates the Sleeper Stimulant don't you? It's because it can one shot kill ANYONE, even a Guardian using an ultra can be killed instantly with a Headshot... it's not rocket science.

Konstantin Demenko it just seems that he *was* spawning second round and it also does make sense. I just wanted to clear it up for people, that In fact he can spawn first round.
It isn't really that hard yeah when everyone isn't like him and uses a broken gun. I remember during the free gambit event before Forsaken when no one used sleeper invading was beautiful. You actually felt powerful and such but now its just no matter how much health you have. Like seriously. Health + Shield + Overshield AND super shield. 1 shot. Like how have they not realized how broken that is. Almost all the other power weapons struggle to one shot a person like that. Sleeper is really just cancer. It ruined the fun of invading. Before a good golden gun with good accuracy can wipe a team but now everyone cowers in the back with sleeper making any "stealth approach" null. Cause you can be a mile away and still get one shotted. Quite literally Sleeper is a power weapon version of golden gun. They are giving all other classes a golden gun. I really hope they nerf it to the ground.
@jblakmoon M sooooo good luck doing that with 4 sleepers trained on you. I primarly play with hand cannons...so headshots are my thing. But after using other linear fusion rifles the time it takes to line up a headshot (if they aren't flying around and you aren't moving) is enough time for a person with sleeper to notice your location and if you don't miss the headshot you can get maybe 2 kills cause people with sleeper can tank 1 shot from you which is enough to get off a sleeper shot. So unless you are a god at headshots and have speed and accuracy to line up and hold (charge time) a headshot 4 times all while trying to not get bodied by one sleeper shot. Then by all means go right ahead. The risk reward factor isn't worth it because if you miss the headshot you give away your position and don't kill anyone. (Also i say sleeper is a golden gun due to the fact that is a one shot on any body part from any range with any health) if i recall correctly actually a golden gun takes two shots to kill a full health super so really its more lethal than a golden gun.

Reminds me of the bullshit void kills in D1 for Thorn. The fuck is the point of taking AWAY progress on a quest? I already have to play my least favorite shooter game mode of all time, why make me suffer through it?
I think it is good this exotic only works in gambit and first step wants you to be play gambit a lot and be good at it it's still useless tho they need to nerf sleeper
No It works in many things besides gambit. And having to play with 10+ hours of gambit to hope that a RNG Boss spawns, and then hope that you win the match isn’t good design. It’s complete randomness.

For any newcomers, let me make this easier for you. 1. Pick the quest up from Drifter 2. Kill your primeval first if it looks like the Voice of Riven 3. Kill 25 yellow health bar Taken. Do Lake of Shadows or Corrupted strike, or just go run Aphelion's Rest in the Dreaming City 4. Bank 400 motes, losing any sets you back double, so bank whenever you can, don't get greedy 5. Kill 25 opposing Guardians in Gambit as an invader. Invade during DPS phases on the Primeval, preferably with your Super active and Heavy ammo full. You either have to kill the entire enemy team once or have a teammate do it 3 times 6. Enjoy!
that's funny I got the ornament for the gun as well, and it's the only reason i'd grind for it hahaha, it's like the devs made the ornaments for quest exotics higher drop from eververse so players would do the quests. I have the handcannon and the exotic bow skins.
Did mine in 1 hour, solo. You skip the first bit, THROW RELICS LIKE CRAZY, then kill psions, kill bosses, go up, go along the parkour, kill final boss.
Jotunn/Thunderlord are the best guns for that last quest part. One shot from Jotunn kills any guardian plus you don’t have to crit and it tracks the target like a rocket launcher and you start with Ten every match.
One of my favorite exotics, I’ve got a catalyst idea for it: for the PvE side you gain a perk called Burrow which allows you to shoot through all forms of Taken shielding, including blights. Perhaps it should also work against knight shadow shields and Taken champion barriers if that ever becomes a thing? For PvP it just gains a stat boost, I was thinking range or handling, whichever one would give the most benefit.
I would want this, don't have malfeasance came here to see how hard it was. But now I want it cause I'm a collector. I also realised that the darts don't despawn until death so I could shoot a guy four time but he doesn't die. He heals and comes back one shot and he's pretty much dead
I am legit so angry, I just got the servitor boss to spawn and my team decided to not shoot it at all, and the enemies saw we had the boss and decided to go super tryhard on us, fml

That happens to me literally every round. My teammates go back of to kill ads when we have primeval, but the enemy team who were 30 motes behind, pull 30 motes out of nowhere and melts their primeval in 2 seconds.

the last step of this quest is impossible. i swear every time someone hears there’s an invader they find the deepest darkest corner of the map and camp the whole time
You can try waiting until the enemy team pulls the prime evil and wait for the health to start dropping. The whole team should be close to the boss then. Launch a couple truths then switch and try to take out the remaining
After two months and two times of it spawning while I was on the weakest team possible I’ve finally got the quest started. Now in two more months I’ll probably finally have the 10 gambit wins
So I listening to the video learning and I heard one bit about the taken minibosses and I realized “wow I’m stupid I’ve been doing the quest the whole time without even realizing” so yeah you definitely helped me get the gun. Thanks.
Bro I got this my first game and my friend is really mad at me because I got it and he didn’t and he was grinding all day and all night for 3 days and didn’t get it so whenever I talk about the quest he gets really mad about it so idk if I should do the quest without him cause I told him I could wait for him but I don’t think hes going to get the quest

I literally just got it drop, we won the first round then lost the second then the 3rd round it spawned and we didn’t even kill him lmao we just did more dmg than the other team n I got it. I texted my homie n was like I hate you😂I wasn’t even trying to get it I was just grinding bounties since I just came back to the game like 3 days ago
The strike activity is soloable. Had the easiest time with a top tree void hunter and Le Monarch bow. Any subclass with survivability and a primary ammo weapon with good add clear will work. The final boss can be cheesed as well. hide behind the rocks where the boss spawns and you can take pot shots at him till he's dead
i told my friends to join my gambit matchmaking, they didnt want to then i got the primeval servitor. THEN i told them to join again and they didnt and I GOT THE ASCENDENT SERVITOR AGAIN
I can’t believe it, I actually didn’t know that boss at the beginning was random, I got it first time playing gambit for the quest. And thought it was scripted to happen when you got the quest.

I fought this boss a few days ago and I had no idea why it was different and I got the Quest and never touched it. Nice to know I'm already on my way to get it lol.
Just wanted to add a note here. I just got my quest item from gambit, wanted to note i lost round one and in round 2 we got the "meatball" to spawn so it may be that this mob spawns completely random not having a "Must win first round" trigger. Also i love that i told my roommate the exact line from this video "You could load into your first gambit match for today and find him...." which is exactly what happened. Do love this content though such a great help. They also nerfed the farm spot for the 25 kills i was getting about 6-7 every Enemies move against each other. Still not bad but not 24/25 in one anymore.
I got the boss to spawn the second game I played on Tuesday morning. My team was a 3 man fireteam with a Random filling in and we dominated the Chimera, so that lucky Random was treated to the questline as well. The follow up was a bitch to finish but after getting Malfeseance the first Bright Engram I opened gave me the Ornament for it, Lucky dawg I am.
Jlg daily destiny vids Green No, I'm Mythic Rank II and haven't reset once yet, yesterday I was doing some invading and two separate games I saw the Chimera on the enemy side so I'm positive it's all randomized.
Decided to go do the gambit daily before going to bed, was a 4v3 easy first round and an easy second boom Meatball spawns killed it before the other team even had one bar of motes. This was my 5th game of gambit played.
Joshua Wright they should make it a challenge to spawn instead of rng I did 65-70 games (can’t remember how long it was) or 17-19 hours no boss then my friend who plays this game once in a blue moon got it and lost.
Got it on my first gambit match ever played but the thing is im too low level to complete the rest of the quest (power 515) plus i have only 1 friend on destiny so basically i have to grind to at least 580 to be able to do the quest. These kind of quests piss me off. Random encounters with a 2 percent chance of ever happening: yea the grind is real.
I soloed the Corrupted mission earlier because I didn't realize you needed a team for it. I hated it, it was so hard but I did it after dying maybe 20 times
Installed Destiny 2 two weeks ago.. Finished the campaign, got to 950 light today.. logged into first gambit match, not knowing what I'm doing.. and Viola.. Meatball Boss in round 3!! But after seeing this video, makes me wonder if I really can complete the whole quest..
All that for a hand cannon that wasn’t that great for the grind imo.....the only weapon that I got that’s lived up to the hype so far has been the escalation shotgun.
Seriously 580? Wtf man. It has a higher rating than the damn raid. Yep lets just make things even more challenging for the people who don't have the time of day to do a 3+ hour raid (not even just that but the toxic raid runners who expect you to know everything about the raid despite you never having played it) i get the whole grind thing but if you are going to put shit like that behind a power wall that really only raid people can get currently...then wth. They already have op raid weapons might as well stack them with more weapons. This game is pretty much ruining solo play like its becoming pointless to play solo and if you have no friends who play destiny or struggle to try and find groups online then well you are fucked. Cause all the stuff that will help you level up is stuck behind power levels unobtainable unless you grind for who knows how long (been playing almost everyday doing as many of the powerful engram missions as possible for a solo player and still barely 545) by the time you reach something like that it will be nerfed to the ground or useless due to a new power blocked weapon. So what's the point?

I just got the heart and spoke to the Drifter, I honestly didn't know that the Taken by the Blind Well entrance can become mini bosses, this was really helpful! Time to get on that grind though...

this is false, it supposedly gives you a higher chance, its not guranteed, we tried this many times even vaulted the damn thing still no difference. its RNG period. I got him playing with some blueberries on the mote / wins part of the quest now...really 5 and bank is the best strat 3 games i am already 54 percent on the motes.... also if you want to melt have your fireteam run with rat kings people forget how good that gun actually is specially in gambit the ratpack perks with being able to dissapear to grab motes on a reload is super helpful
So I brought forsaken about 2 weeks ago almost. And I did my first gambit match a few days ago and got the seething heart first match. Granted I lost the game but still lol. I thought It was guaranteed for playin your first match or something. That's some dope rng for me haha
