The idea of a god screaming for help is some real good horror story material

Whenever I heard Immaru say that about your God screaming for help it did put things in perspective for me. The big G needing help from inferior beings, it does give the sense of helplessness, confusion or WHAT you can possibly do. Our guardian is carrying a lot on their back in TFS😅

Definitely sounds like a cry for help. Like the travellers cry. Almost sounds like how a Whale sounds when it’s in distress.

So hear me out, remember that in lightfall, if you had nezarecs sin helmet for warlock and nezarecs whisper on other classes, you could hear the screams in the hypernet current strike when doing it on the first time related to the campaign, what if the speaker mask has the same role, we do the strike as post campaign mission "wildcard" and during the strike we hear screams, but if you do the campaign on legendary, you can claim the mask and hear teh traveler, building up for the raid, maybe the other classes can hear the travaler with weapons such as Travelers Choosen

The Titan exotic gauntlets is a play on a Mike Tyson quote _"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."_ ....is Mike Tyson a guardian in the Destiny universe?!

In a weird way "Mara's" Words and confession could be Riven's genuine feelings and confessions... And might be why Crow and Cayde's meeting ended on friendly terms

I love how in the ship lore Riven is actually being sincere in how she talks to Crow, apologizing for what she did to him in Forsaken

Theres just one problem... that blast is the same blast from the root of nightmares raid where you have to get the dark and light buff to ignore it... its the same sound too.

With Cayde inside the Traveler, there is no need for his Ghost, unless a Ghost CHOOSES Cayde, but it will NOT be Sundance, she was obliterated completely by that shot.

In the original concept for the beginning trailer for Destiny, there was a woman that greeted the astronauts instead of the traveler. Maybe that voice at the end is a call back to that original idea?

I had a thought in my mind. The mask of the Speaker, might mean that we take the mantle of the Speaker after Final shape. *Good luck Guatdian*

It would make sense for the Ahamkara to be linked to the Traveler in some way. With the Light (and Traveler), it's about Creating something out of Nothing. There's no need for precursor material to make something, if you want (or wish) to fashion your Light into a blade or shield, you can without any need for anything, it's a Gift through and through. The Ahamkara work similarly, but a Wish/Want is needed, and that Wish/Want is functionally 'nothing', ethereal, just like us forming our Supers and Abilities. My theory is that the Ahamkara are a sort of Attempt by the Traveler to create it's own Life that can easily thrive without the Traveler's assistance, but they still followed the Traveler where ever it went since it is their "Mother". The Ahamkara had only appeared in Sol AFTER the Traveler had arrived, and in the Books of Sorrow it's stated by Xivu Arath that 'The Harmony' a race now extinct due to the Hive, had "Wishful Bishops" and used "Dragon-Wishes" as the Harmony were benefited by The Traveler. TL;DR, Traveler made the Ahamkara, and they followed it around to all the civilizations it uplifted and consequently let fall.

While this is wish magic, that doesn't totally explain Cayde's appearance. Cayde could've easily been within the Traveler all this time, and Riven, or whatever Ahamkara granted this wish, could've just placed him there for that confrontation. Wish magic isn't Light or Dark, so creating a Lightbearer would be extremely difficult, unless said Lightbearer was just an illusion created by said wish magic. It's possible that ALL Lightbearers exist within the Traveler as soft of a Heaven or Valhalla situation, and the only reason we don't see more is because the amount of Lightbearers who've suffered a final death is relatively low compared to the vast space within this Heaven/Valhalla area. They could be wondering around, we just don't see them because the place is too big we'd never meet, or the space is being manipulated by the Witness in some fashion that we can't see them.

The sound of the waves of light that the monolith is doing sounds similar to the light buff we get at Root of Nightmares. But it's kinda jagged at the ending, like the light is bring suffocated

The burst of light/scream is from the Traveler’s Pale Heart that the Witness mentioned in the bonus cutscene at the end of Witch Queen’s campaign. It makes way more sense now.

We need to END the Great Ahamkara Hunt!! Our rescue of Riven's Clutch gives us reason to preserve the Ahamkara where we can.

A mix of the traveler will and a wish dragons wish. A powerful mix.

Idk why, but i figured resurrection was beyond what Wish magic could do. Cuz if the Ahamkara could bring people back to life, i figure it would have happened more often. Like Mara would have brought Sjur back. Im thinking Cayde isnt back back, or he still existed in some form already and was just brought to where Crow would appear.

The light blast coming from the monolith almost looks and sounds like the nodes of splendor from the root of nightmares raid

Bungie says their taking the avengers infinity war and endgame route for destiny meaning we’re gonna lose to the witness then come back

@3:38we hear the same sound effect in the Root of Nightmares raid during the jumping puzzle after the second encounter.

I remember that if you had one of 2 nezerac items you could hear him in the neomuna. What if the speaker helmet did something like that. Imagine going through traveler not knowing where to go and then you hear traveler's voice pointing you in the right direction or giving a tip for a puzzle.

What if the gardener resonates, it doesn’t provide but resonates so you can use it without fully knowing. Sharing powers but no understanding. That’s why the darkness helps guide the light to shine. The darkness and light are two sides of the same coin but the witness is using it for its own purposes. The gardener wishes to help the seeds sprout by resonance. Maybe the witness tries to use things against us to give our light up.

To help the Traveler, I will become the ultimate God-Killer!!

Isn’t the light blast similar in look and sound to the blasts in Root of Nightmares? What was the lore behind those blasts and could it relate to what the traveler is doing? Also someone commented here that “cayde is not alive”. Makes me wonder if bungie is playing with the rumor about Cayde being Rasputin, but here Cayde is actually the traveler. ( like that BTAS epsiode with the little girl who is actually clayface).

Not gonna lie this gives horror vibes with the whole hands pulling zavala down from the final shape trailer then the possible ahamakara/god screaming out for help as witness does its plans for its final shape I love that that will be so cool if this dlc takes a horror ish aspect

I like to think of the explosion of light not the witness stealing the light but the traveler having a physical form and fighting the witness and each explosion is them colliding

The way I see it maybe the witness has or had an egg and needed the light to revived it or give it life. The scream can be the scream of a dragon when they hatch or a scream of a dragon being tortured.

They said we could decipher what the dread are saying, who’s to say we won’t be able to decipher what the traveler is saying? Easter egg? Larger exotic quest? Who knows.

I still think this is a result of us messing with the Sundail. They kept saying over and over there will be consequences.

I hope the hunter boots massively boost the poison traits coming to snare bomb in TFS. they look like they could as well as looking like something green goblin could've worn in the Sam Ramey Spider-Man movies XD

I think it would be awesome if the voice is a precursor guardian. Maybe from the faction that was loyal to the Light, before the traveler abandoned them and the Witness was created.

See also, Riven said “see you soon” even though she was an apparition soon to disappear for the last time. Curious why shed say that then. It wasnt for Crow to hear obviously so there was no need for her to keep up the Mara charade, which is supported by her saying her classic “O ___ mine” phrase

waiting for the reveal that the traveler is basically an Akira like entity that was experimented on and left to rot.

In the dialog with Mara/Riven she says that she regrets manipulating him. I think that is genuine. I think granting his wish was a gift that won't come with a price this time. Considering she was in mourning of what her mate had done, sacrifice his life basically because of her, I think this was her redemption moment. She knows she did him dirty.

The sound of the Traveler screaming/roaring/weezing reminds me a lot of Necrozma’s roar from Pokémon. Specifically it’s ultra form.

I still like to think that Cayde has been living on in the traveler for this purpose but we don’t know exactly when Riven came to Crow. At least that it’s probably during the last season. One thing that makes sense to me though is that perhaps Ahamkara are either a result of light elevation or simply a light species which would explain their arrival in Sol. Their nature is chaotic and full of potential after all.

It would be very ironic if it turns out the traveller was created by a wish and the wish dragons is inside

Im having a hard time believing that riven actually granted that wish, she specifically said that she could only grant one final wish, and that was savathun's wish. Besides she can reject granting wishes, she's not forced to make them real, so she could've chosen to just not grant it. I firmly believe that cayde is alive for a different reason.

I wish Bungie could do a mission at the end of the final shape that let the player base choose on joining the witness or saving the light, and based on majority percentage of the choices made would decide how Destiny 3 begins. Like if we chose the witness our gaurdian in D2 can become the new Witness and we would have to create a new gaurdian in D3 to deal with the choice.

All I know is I might be a titan main, but I was always a Cayde loyalist. I want to get in there already and take a chunk out of the witness with Cayde.

I really hope there is an option to become a disciple and have a special cutscene play showing the consequences of our choice then load us back to the last checkpoint

Does anyone else think that these three exotics might have a similar effect on our guardians like the Nezarek themed ones, that made us understand the whispers?

If we get Cayde in Final Shape, will the Speaker return as well? If so, then we'll have the 2 most badass characters in video game history making a return.

Ghosts are -created- from the Traveler. Guardians are -empowered- by the Traveler. If your ghost has been exorcized, -uncreated-, we would -remain- empowered by the Traveler. Empowered, but mortal again. A Tiger with a cropped tail. Bungee should have killed off more characters, and introduced more new Epic Guardians (not AS cool as us, but Bad Af). #Mithrax

honestly I never really have considered teh traveller a god in part because I don't worship it obviously, but also it always felt cowardly and weak the whole screaming for help sorta shows how it is kinda weak lmao
