Upper management almost never knows the employees working at their companies. Higher ups probably looked at all these great employee’s names on a piece of paper/file and went “woah their pay and bonuses + unvested shares are really high, we could make a ton off laying them off!” I went on Glassdoor recently and looked at reviews of Bungie. Found out the company has a terrible bro culture where employees who are buddies with those in upper management are disproportionately liked and promoted while on average being way worse workers than fellow employees. So what now has happened is 100 great employees have been laid off while those who are bros with upper management and do nothing to help the company have likely since had pay raises following the layoffs along with potential promotions and greater bonuses on the table. For these reasons, I cannot believe that the Final Shape will be “as good as Forsaken/Taken King” considering the lack of an official delay being confirmed. This along with other breaking points such as reselling my unclaimed Worthy cosmetics at a 970% markup rate along with ever growing eververse prices along with samey seasons and uninteresting loot have led me to under no circumstances ever buy the final shape. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t care whether or not others choose to buy the final shape as it is their wallet but as a destiny player since December 2015, I feel my points are valid and worth considering.

I miss my tank missions..

Having the missions/quests to regain your light and get all the subclasses get replaced by a monumental grind and a mountain of glimmer is one of the worst changes Bungie has ever made

I'm kind of amazed when new lights actually stick with the game tbh. Made a titan for fun and ran through that intro, and straight up wondered would ground a new player in this universe? Bungie should make at least Shadowkeep for free for new players.

@@Devmode_Nunchaku And Cayde's death was? He was killed by Scorn, yeah, but none under the thrall of the Witness. All were under the Fanatic's control and serving Uldren. They are made of Dark Ether but it's like saying Rasputin killing the Iron Lords had nothing to do with the foundation of the City itself, and what we all stand for throughout the series as Guardians.

Rise of iron is nowhere near as good as you say it is. In no universe is Rise of Iron better than witch queen

@@khaled_asunsetting like justification to bring old guns back as seasonal content. Videos aren't that huge in size that they can't do it.

Personally what I was thinking like a new game, free, and designed to bring all the campaigns in both Destiny 1 and 2, along with the seasonal stories remade to be more cinematic to quickly explain the story in the past, and giving small but meaningful rewards in Destiny 2 for each campaign completed.

@@hahahadeath1974alongside with bringing D1 gamemodes and D2 seasonal playlist, with all previous seasonal activities in it rotating like in exotic playlist. At the same time changes to monetization, where the only paid content in seasons would be cosmetic battle pass. Yeah, too good to be real.

Its almost like Lightfall wasn't needed at all, and the game should have either just rolled into Season of Defiance and this year's seasons, or Final Shape (the actual one).

@@iamoctonate that was the plan originally however those higher ups can be a bit goofy at times.

@@iamoctonate Lightfall was the final expansion, it got split in two. At the original time of announcement, Lightfall was just a working title, with Final shape not even being a thing. Lightfall was needed to make sure the actual ending of the game could be finished; I just didn't expect them to blatantly lie about it in every interview and media piece.

Even the artsyle. Don't get me wrong the art team is amazing, but the artsyle in the first game was just built different like I can't put my finger on it, but it felt more like Destiny.

Exactly, feeling weak in front of those aliens, fighting just to try to get some ammo and pray to get back to the tower in time, to join not other gardians but the entire humanity left....

@@Know3ody Nope. I still get that feeling with Destiny 1, because it was baked into every aspect of the game's design. The shine in the post processing for example was deliberate, it was to make the future, no matter how bleak or fearful, still beautiful and fascinating. The first game was very down to Earth compared to all this multiple godslayer level bullshit we're doing. Destiny 1 was the better game, objectively through and through. It needs to come back, because it's the only one that's worth anyone's time.

So many people in the Destiny community always say D1 is nolstalgic to the point I think ppl dont actually know the meaning of the word lol. No one ever says D2 is nolstalgic. Before u start typing, ppl were saying D1 was nolstalgic 1 yr into D2 so technically by that logic we should also be nolstalgic for D2 Yrs 1-3 too and yet no one ever says that. I dont think its nolstalgic I just think the game was better in a lot of ways especailly the artstyle and overall grounded universe.

RU-vid has become bad on mobile and doesn't want to tag users for me properly. Anyway, I was 17 almost 18 when TTK did come out, but I'll agree Destiny is now better for sure but at the time it really did improve things back then when you compare it to what we had under the Dark Below & House of Wolves. It was my favourite d1 dlc, but I wouldn't want to go back to it now over say Forsaken. Can definitely still appreciate it for the changes it brought through.

I finally got it on sale some months ago and been having so much fun :) So glad I have an opportunity to explore it, so many stories and npcs!

i mean it technically wasnt a part of the saga, it had nothing to do with light or darkness, more likle a side story

@@yhelloh i mean eveything they included was a part of the story in some way shape or form, rise of iron wasnt. i love rise of iron its probably my personal faviourite expansion, but it has zero ties to the rest of the story.

@@adilsagadiyev5090 It’s always been a side story just like the Vex and the Nine. A backup B plot. But saying it’s not part of the saga is more of an opinion. It’s very much part of the story and if you think what might of happened if we left it untouched…

How are you going to judge story telling by a few cutscenes when most of the story was in game activities and dialogue

It could have at least acknowledged Rhulk and or Nezarec I think and a little bit more of the seasons to have it flow better. Maybe give Arrivals or even Haunted a mention out of any that were missing.

It's about destruction. That's it. The gardener, or Traveler, creates and the Winnower, or Darkness, destroys

The Darkness is just a force in the Universe, like the Light. The Light is used by Traveler, they are often used as one and the same but they are different. A while back there was thoughts that how the Light is to the Traveler (or Gardener as it has also been called), that there was another to the Darkness, known as the Winnower. Last few expansions we've learned that there is no Winnower, but there is an entity known as The Witness who, seeking this Winnower, effectively became it. It's reasons for chasing down the Traveler, or Gardener as it refers to it, were brought up ingame via a cutscene I recomend checking out during Season of the Deep (search The Witness's Origins Cinematic). Our understanding of what we thought the Darkness is during the Collapse vs what was utilizing the Darkness have come a long way. There's still a great deal of mystery behind it all, and oddly enough we now know more about the Darkness then the Traveler and the Light.

Technically you can play all of D1 still… including house of wolves and rise of iron.

Come to think of it, skolas was never real. Future War Cult propaganda most probably

Rise of iron was supposed to be the start of D2.
