Destiny 2 Lore - Who is Savathun?

Theory : The real Eris Morn was killed by the hive and the one that was in the tower isn’t her, it’s actually Savathun. She killed eris and took her memories and came to the tower and made us kill Crota , Omnigul, Fist of Crota, Oryx, Alak-Hul, Malok and Omnigul again, then she went back to her throne world and now she controls the taken.

You know Bungie gave us the timeline of how the DLC's will appear. It is is the final cutscene with the Traveler's light spreading. It first touches Mercury which we know is the sight of the Osiris expansion. It will feature the Vex. We already know a lot about this. Next is Mars which has a great significance to Rasputin through Charlemagne and whatever Rasputin does. It will feature either the Fallen or the Cabal. I'm a bit unclear on what we will see with this one. Then we are likely to see an expansion relating to the Reef, enemy race probably featuring the Fallen and Variks. It then touches Saturn, where we see both Titan and the Dreadnought still standing. This will obviously be the Hive and relate to Savathun. Next the light touches the Jovians which we know are related to the Nine. This will feature the Nine and their mysteries. Not quite sure what race will be featured though. Finally we see the final part with the pyramidion ships. I believe that this honestly won't be an expansion and will become Destiny 3. I say this because that is 5 expansions, already 1 more than Destiny 1 and such a big thing like this has to either come out in a Taken King like expansion, or just a new game.

Savathún is coming in shadowkeep as the final raid boss. She's the trickster and we see shadows of our past enemies, but these are illusions and what does she do? Make illusions into tricking people. The Taken are back for a reason. She is trying to revive Oryx by taking. Also when you mention her trying to take the Vex I think it's about to be complete cause people are saying that the raid for shadowkeep is gonna happen in the black garden.

Savathun the queen of darkness would be a dope name

Oryx has been the one enemy in destiny, that while I detest, I’ve grown to respect, not for his power itself, but for his philosophy, one not shown in game, but through his life in the grave of the worlds and the fragments, the way his life was led and even thinking of his own death, he saw a way of thinking beyond the true death, were I to fall it’d be to a power mightier than I am, and that power will wield me and we will empower each other in true philosophy

I'm so pumped to have a new Hive expansion involving Savathún and Quira to see the new Lore that comes with them.

Savathun has been my favorite character in Destiny's lore since I first read the Books of Sorrow. Im going to fan girl so hard when we finally get a trailer with her in it.

Idk about u guys but I feel like the hive and the fallen are the most interesting enemies of the destiny universe. So, much, lore. So much back story and so much to learn.

So this disturbs me a bit. Finding out that the Playstation exclusive strike contains some very important story and lore means that not only do Xbox and PC players not get a piece of the game, but technically we don't even get the full story... I know this all falls at the feet of money and business decisions at the end of the day, but couldn't Bungie take those decisions into consideration when deciding what to include in the Playstation exclusives? At what point do they just come out and admit that non-Playstation players are, in fact, second class citizens of the Destiny community?

Shivu Arath is the titan. War centered. Brutal. And Savathûn is the warlock. Wanting knowledge, and using trickery. And trickery requires knowledge.

This was absolutely fascinating. It's crazy how much story is just sitting there in the middle of the game, but many of us have no idea what it's in reference too. It all seems so trivial because they're usual minor threats we squash. I had no idea just how important some of the events were for this subplot. Maaaaan, I cannot wait to see where this going. Every day I am finding new passion for the Destiny universe.
