Destiny 2 Lore - Who was Citan? His battles with Felwinter & Efrideet! The Warlord of Old Russia! 

Out of everyone this Citan dude had to pick on the ol'Drifter, the Saladin Yeeter Lady and the guy who single-handedly broke Destiny 1 PVP, so I guess I'm surprised he lasted that long.

A little detail from these grimoires. When a ghost revives a guardian, it’s not like in gameplay, but more like what was shown during the Zavala trailer back in early D2 days. It’s like a defibrillator on recent dead.

The dark age stories are some of my favorites.

OMG FINALLY!!! I've been waiting for some Warlord Lore. Love this video byf. Also Felwinter is a badass in my opinion.

I was mesmerised by Mazda!Byf zooming through that raid.

At this point, I expect (hope) that next season will be about the Iron Lords/Wolves. But also, I hope it's not about them, so they can have a full annual-scale release like they deserve. (Rise of Iron was about SIVA with a SIDE of Iron Lords, and y'all know it )

At this point, I really want a Destiny Prequel that takes place during the time of these stories

With this Warlord lore coming out/being revisited in Destiny and the recent (alpha) release of Mount and Blade: Bannerlord.... I really want Bungie to come out with 'Destiny: Warlords' XD Play as a Risen during the dark age, take over territory, and eventually help one of the existing factions (FOTC, Iron Lords, etc.) take over the entire world... or conquer it all for yourself :p I suppose in some years Bannerlord could have a total conversion mod that scratches that itch...

I never really used Towering Barricade until I got Citan's Ramparts. It comes in handy when trying to kill Primevals in Gambit Prime. I see you're using Xenophage. I just got it with my clan and I love what it does. Hive, Cabal, doesn't matter, each shot hits like a Mack Truck. I may never use another MG ever again.

I remember that grimoire card! I didnt even recognize Citan's name at first! Thats one of my favorite D1 grimoire cards, I'm so happy to see a lore character named in game. Thats so awesome.

Bungie needs an studio to make a history driven game about the Resin era, goddamn, that would be awesome.

I love this lore bit because of how it expands the world, but I think the writers could do with including more references to things we haven't seen yet... like a new form of super ability or some kind of new animal or automata. They're making the world bigger in scale but not yet in content

I hope theres going to be a mission where we literally make our own exotic not completely tho like we choose everything on it but a mission where it leads us to create an exotic for something like a extra large tether or 2 mp or extra large well

this messiah dynamic with Felwinter and Rasputin is all too good, and The Dark age of Destiny is personally where I always felt the game should've taken place seeing the continual human survival push is what makes me feel more like a guardian.

BUNGIE give us secret mission where we collect parts to fix The Lantern of Divination and when we complete it we can deposit lore in it and see a cutscene of what's on the lore card

I find Warlords such an intriguing concept. Like, how did their Ghosts chose such corrupt individuals? Were the Ghosts themselves corrupt? Or was it all part of the Travellers plan, to weed out the week among the Risen? Do we have any lore, any quotes from Warlord Ghosts? Would love to hear their world perspective. I can think of one entry, where the Ghost just one day refuses to res their Warlord, giving up hope that they might come good one day. Any others?

the final invitation of the nine cutscene, Death, shows a dark horse then the drifter gets a pyramid ship coin. If Felwinter dies in this season does that mean the pyramid ship are in the next season?

Seems odd Bungie suggested last year only weapons of sorrow could kill a ghost, seems they changed their mind again.

The one thing i never understand was how he could have killed the Ghost? Didnt we learn from Cayde's death that only a special darkness bullet or a weapon of sarrow can kill a Ghost? I dont think his shotgun was eather of thouse...

I wonder when they will use gheleon in the lore cause they never really use him except for quotes.

If the seven seraphs are rasputin’s personal squad of super exos, it seems like they’re characters we’ve already met. Bungie is basically telling us that Fellwinter was a seraph, but they’ve made references to other characters too. I mean Timur almost accuses him of being a seraph. You know who else got accused of being related to a warmind? Cayde-6. Andal Brask apparently teased him about it. It’s not just that, Cayde apparently did mercenary work for Clovis Bray, maybe he was actually acting as an agent of rasputin. I don’t remember where, but Bungie describes an Exo(that worked for Rasputin) doing work similar to what Cayde was doing. Bungie usually floods the lore with information about a character before bringing them into the game. Maybe, Rasputin uses his newfound resources at the end of the season to bring back his seraphs. Seems like an interesting way to bring back Fellwinter and potentially Cayde. I’m not sure bringing back Cayde would be a good thing, though.

Hey Byf the other day I was doing a Seraph Tower and got to wondering; is there anything in the lore about Rally Banners/ Raid Banners? The fact that they give you full ammo makes sense, the Vanguard can transmat that in. But what about your super? I understand it’s just a game mechanic but is there a way to hoard orbs of light for later use? In the super missions we get the pools of light for infinite super and again it can be waved away as a gameplay mechanic but I vaguely remember something in the Twilight Gap lore about Ana Bray’s Golden Gun being so powerful it left “pools of light” that recharged other Guardians’ supers. So is there some hidden bunker of orbs or is it just for the sake of game play?

Damn, was this released during the time that Gambit Prime was still active in the playlist? Cos just hearing that brought back the war memories of grinding.

Question: Lord Shaxx cited one of his reasons for not joining the Iron Lords is that the wars between Warlords and Iron Lords left many people homeless. Wouldn't this further the Drifter's point about Warlords and Iron Lords tearing apart the world in a battle of Light versus Light? Is it true that Iron Lords got innocent people killed?

I thought Ghost's couldn't be killed without certain kinds of ammo? How did they do it so easily back then?

One thing I'm not seeing here, the acorn needed a special bullet (bringing thorn back into the equation) to kill caydes ghost and reading that you need thorn or thornlike ammunition to kill a ghost. You see my question here yeah?

I'm probobally going to sound really stupid with this theory but do you think that the projection of a horse when we visit the nine is actually felwinter who began working with the nine? I say this because grimoire refers to him as a dark horse. I dont know quarentine might just be driving me crazy, who knows

All this Warlord/Iron Lord lore makes me wish we could get a single player RPG spin-off that takes place in the Dark Age.
