I came back to D2 in lightfall after leaving in vanilla. I'm not much of a PvP player, but I learned about the riptide and decided to get one. Over 100 focused England and who knows how many drops with no chill clip. Yesterday I tried one more time and got a 4/5 god roll with chill clip, heating up, accelerated coils, and a handling mwork! The only thing it's missing is arrowhead brake, but I'm happy enough with my demigod roll!
I've been saying this since I got Conditional Finality: Bungie *NEEDS* to add a Super Shotgun ornament from DOOM onto Conditional. The amount of money they'll make off of that one ornament would be absolutely insane.
You know, after being so dookie for so long, I can't be the only one who thinks Wish-Ender doesn't deserve to be nerfed. Let the poor thing have its cake and eat it too after being written off for literal years.
If Fixed Odds is your jam then I highly, HIGHLY recommend getting Qua Xaphan as it is literally a Void flavored version. Field Prep in column 3, Destabilizing Rounds in column 4 and everything goes bye-bye in a big purple cloud, not to mention the incidental damage from the Wild Card origin trait :D. Yes, you do have to grind that evil, WICKED Gambit for it, but to be honest it has been a nice change of pace from the endless GMs, Dungeons, and seasonal grinds I have been on. Not to mention that an Arc Hunter build of Mothkeepers and Ex Diris goes SUPER HARD in that playlist and it has been a ton of fun. You only need to get 1429 rep each day to reset your rank once in a week, and double rep weeks makes that only 4 losses (with full activity bonus active) needed each day. I reset my rank during the first double rep and I am going to do so again this week so that I have an OK chance at my god rolls.
I was eyeing that from the beginning of the season. So I planned on getting fours resets before focusing it. I got two in, and gilded, during the first bonus rank week. Did two more this week. Last match I needed to finish the fourth reset I got a roll with Clown Cartridge/Triple Tap and Destabilizing Rounds/Frenzy. While I don't need to focus for it now, I have 88 engrams I need to do something with.
@@Welverin Laser Painter wouldn't be terrible to go for, just so you have a Strand flavored LFR for if that ever matters again. Auto-load, Clown Cart, or Rapid Hit in column 3 and Vorpal, Hatchling, or Demo in 4 is what I'd go for.
@@failfurby I make a point to gild Dredgen every season, and get at least two resets for each playlist, so I have good rolls for all of the Gambit weapons. I might do some Trust focusing to see if I can get some combined rolls to reduce the number of them in my vault. p.s. While I have a Clown.Demo Laser Painter on the chopping block, I have a couple other rolls I'll be holding onto (each covering perks you suggest).
@@Welverin honestly, if you already have the rolls on the weapons you care about, just pop the engrams as randoms for free and get all the shards and glimmer you can. use the shards on Ascendant Alloy between now and the end of the season, and the glimmer on making golf balls and turning them into Exotic armor as much as possible.
It’s funny how your main class could change the list. I love a lot of these weapons but given that lucky pants is so good with hand cannons right now, Malfeasance seems to be the exotic I want to run on every subclass regardless as the primary damage it can put out on a boss (on top of an etermite/apex loadout) is ridiculous - definitely my main pick!
Well…what a WICKED list… only 1 switch for me. Dead Messenger even with it now having demo/being craftable wouldn’t make my list. In it’s place I’d add Riptide. Not quite as strong since the nerf to chill clip but it’s still a fast fire rate fusion in the top slot which is super useful when it’s a champ stun weapon + the slow is still very useful. It’s also focusable at Shaxx which makes targeting it a bit easier. Also shout out to Lament, Cataclysmic and Tyranny of Heaven!
8:52 comment regarding Eager Edge and The Other Half. When Crota released and we all were using Eager Edge to speed through the Abyss I like many of you would Eager Edge into either the pendulum traps or holes. It seemfs Eager Edge would auto-track the pendulums. I looked for alternatives as some people I knew mentioned I should just run a normal sword. I ended up trying the Geodetic HSM. It’s a new world drop adaptive frame sword with Nadir Focus as its origin trait. The way Nadir Focus works on a sword is over the course of 4 swings lunge range extends to a tiny bit shorter thanf an eager edge swipe. On the 4th swipe and each following consecutive swipe you lunge just short of a full eager edge swipe. This means that not only is the sword not auto-targeting and lunging directly into the pendulum…. You also move considerably faster with eager edge (excluding skating) because can lunge just short an eager edge lunge every swipe with no downtime. Unlike with Eager Edge where you must constantly swap to and from your sword to keep re-procing Eager Edge following its cooldown. This means that despite an eager edge swipe being a little bit longer than the charges nadir focus swipes…. Similar to how a weapon with reconstruction that does slightly less damage per shot can have much higher DPS than the same weapon doing more damage per shot still has much less DPS due to spending valuable time reloading…. similarly being able to constantly swipe with slightly shorter lunges than Eager Edge swipes without wasting time swapping back and forth results in the nadir focus origin trait sword having a much higher constant rate of speed. I’m guessing a good chunk of people know this already but wanted to put it out there for those who weren’t aware. Definitely give it a shot… it’s a lot of fun. As far as I’m aware (might be wrong) the void adaptive frame sword Geodetic HSM is the only sword with the Nadir Focus origin trait currently.
10:30 for those that dont get a godroll of this MG use avalache the MG from the dawning xmas event it rolls with incandescent 2 and is with 450 rpm and nearly the same recoil as Commemoration (deepstone LMG) a really good addition as a Solar MG
I have an Avalanche with Autoloading and Incandescent and it rips with a solar build. Not to mention the foundry perk is one of the coolest, you create a present that grants a small amount of health and ability energy.
Also it has 90 Aim Assist, I don't think any other LMG has that level of aim assist so you basically just point it in the general direction of the enemies and they die.
I got lucky asf and got conditional finality on my 3rd run, I was in a fireteam with some people who have been grinding with no luck and they were pissed
My top 10 1. The Other Half 2. Forbearance 3. Witherhoard 4. Osteo Striga 5. Calus Mini Tool 6. Apex Predator 7. Song of Ir Yut 8. Thunderlord 9. Vex Mythoclast 10. Riptide Don't have conditional finality yet as I only raid occasionally and not on all three chars, and definitely biased about Vex since it took me like a year to get it. But I love it in my rain of fire build for the perma 2x restoration + radiant loop.
with how good forbearance is at what it does, im surprised you didn't put it in first place, because many content creators said, this is the ONLY weapon you'll need from now on, no more heavy, no more primary ammo weapons, just forbearance!
Retrofit escapade I would say is also a must have next to commemoration. Its superior in boss damage and melts champions. But if you prefer using your lmg for ad clear I'd go with commemoration
@@colewilliams3621 never said it was good for dps. Lmgs in general are not good for dps. I'm just saying in terms of overall options it's the best dps legendary machine gun in the game
A good alternative to heritige is the slug shotgun Zavala sells. Fourth times the charm + focused fury is the best roll I've gotten for DPS. Whilst you can't R2 triangle R2 triangle with another slug shotgun like heritage, you can either mag dump an auto loading special energy weapon, mag dump this, then swap back. Not the most ideal but a good alternative for thise who can't grind DSC.
Another great alternative if you have the previous season is to craft the strand shotgun which is amazing for general use and with cascade point outputs insane damage for melting majors and Champs
I'll tell you something wicked, I was that guy who grinned Nightfalls in week two to get enough strange coins to buy Ghallerhorn. All my clan mates made fun of me. I bought it because it looked so cool and I remembered the gun design from the original D1 art work that came with the game. When the dark below dropped I was the only one laughing because it was a VERY rare drop back in the day.
Don't see why people don't do this, but never shoot the 3rd shot from quicksilver, shoot 2 then swap as soon as you shoot, it quickens the animation and refills your primary mag. Never have to reload or go thru full animation change
I thought it was pretty wicked that in almost all of the clips you can see previously mentioned weapons in the gameplay. Really just shows how much he uses them hahaha
80 clears? Dam. I don't raid very often and tend to get lucky with raid drops after 3/4 runs with the exception of VoW and Deep Stone. I've only run each raid about 3/4 times so very good RNG for me. I have to use CF more often but everytime I use it, it's fun, powerful and actually feels Exotic. I've not used it in PvP but heard it slaps. I have to agree with Fatebringer also. I didn't get it until this season, I got a Frenzy roll and my lawd. With the hand cannon buffs this season it slaps in both PvE and PvP and you can put Firefly on for AoE damage. Glad to see Callus make your list too, I started playing mid-S15 so S16 was my first true season and I straight away took note of the Mini-Tool and I focused it and didn't regret it at all. I love this SMG so much that I have three crafted and they all just sit on my characters as a placeholder or my main fuck about weapon in general content because it deals great damage, great origin perk and Unrelenting keeps you alive as you shoulder charge through content. It was crucial when learning Duality. Striga fills the Kinetic slot haha, me and my friend were duo-running the GM Europa last night and Striga shaved a good 10mins of our run it's just that powerful. All the weapons you listed are pretty frequent on my list. A Few honourable mentions though: - Arby (Though it's more circumstantial now vs Wishender, but still a solid pick) - Le Monarque (This is my, I don't want to die in GM weapon) - Age Old Bond Destabilizing and Repulsor Brace is a void Warlock god combo though the gun does feel whiffy, arch type needs a buff - Royal Executioner - I might give Eremite a shot as the 20% buff for all shots probably is better than only above mag shots for the Royal, but still an epic FR. - Doom of Chelchis - If I can use a scout, Explosive Playload and Frenzy in GM content. This bad boy has you covered. I would prefer Trustee but I sadly don't have that. - Stormchaser and/or Fire and Forget - Thunderlord (But generally flavour of the week LMG. Solar = Avalanche - Void = Commemoration - Arc = No decent LMG, so SAW or Terminus Horizon.
Every time I see a video like this, transfiguration is never mentioned. I swear this thing is the most slept on scout rifle in existence. Rewind rounds and kinetic tremors on a primary 150 for near endless heavy hitting long range damage allowing you to comfortably sit back and blast a champion down if you’re out of ammo. It’s especially strong this season with that precision artifact mod that weakens on rapid hits, and the one that gives you armor charge when rapid headshotting. Hung jury has sat in the VAULT since I crafted this thing. It also just feels crispy as hell.
Bro, same about the Conditional. I just don’t wanna take it off dude. It’s a sawed off double barreled shotgun (my favorite gun of all time) and it’s VERY good in both PvE and PvP. What more you ask for. In all seriousness the gun covers it all. It doesn’t even need a Catalyst. The thing just goes crazy.

I would however like to mention that the arc machine gun from season of the wish (Eleatic principle) is also a rly good gun imo, just because of the sheer rate of fire and the fact its rly not that bad to control for its RPM. (I also propose a third type of eager edge user, aka me, who will use it only in higher level content, and where there isn't a cursed thrall, screeb, fanatic, parkour or hive architecture of any type in close proximity, usually a different planet.... multiple day 1 Crota wipes at the first encounter is all I have to say on the matter lmao)
Osyeo striga here. I don't like having slow projectiles. Finding it against me in crucible always makes me laugh, and in pve there's a lot of better alternatives.
7:36. Stochastic Variable and Death Adder are better recluse replacements. they can both roll with feeding frenzy dragonfly which can clear almost as well as recluse used to. Edit: they do need crits for it tho so funnelweb is a bit more braindead.
Glad Gjallarhorn is here because I simply refuse to take it off. I couldnt play D1 because I didnt have Gjallarhorn. Now, my Gjallarhorny self honestly wont take it off unless its for a mg bounty. Gjallarhorn is my highest kill weapon in pve and I even take it to pvp. Now that, that is wicked.
Honorable mention for a different void smg for funnel web is unforgiven if you can get it in my opinion better with that demo golden tricorn roll and a reload mw for void builds
Great list! Although, a "chopping block" is something you get rid of, not something you keep. Wishender WAS the nerf to Arbalest. But it itself does not need a Nerf. Even with it's higher damage, it's rather slow and clunky. If it must have a Nerf, then it should have a similar one that it did to Arbalest; give it some competition. Make Ariana's Vow break shields in one shot.
Yeah, it's funny how they said they'd rather bring other things up rather than nerf Arbalest. A bit of a buff to Wishender and getting rid of match game was all it took for Arbalest to end up on the scrap heap.
Once I got unforgiven with demo/golden tricorn it's replaced funelweb for me in all my void builds. I know you've said you don't like using it cause of its stats but it's perks are too good to pass up for me. Tried getting a demo/incandescent on the ghosts of the deep dungeon too to replace the mini tool but so many runs and no luck yet
I love Wish Ender!! ❤❤ I really hope they don't nerf it. It is supposed to be strong. And soon as they do it will have near 0 usage. I really love this bow and bows in general

On calus mini tool, as a titan main, I prefer grave robber over unrelenting but both are good. As for commemoration I wish we could craft reconstruction+dragonfly as that was my old roll before the refresh. I still have it and use it fairly often but killing tally is just better.
2:42 not a big fan of nation of beast right now for arc builds even if it rolls with volshot and dragonfly. posterity would be better since it can roll with voltshot frenzy, giving it a fast reload for you to repeatedly jolt enemies.
I love my posterity, one of the only weapons I slapped a trials memento on. But I’m not gonna lie I really wanna get a nation of beast but it’s one of the weapons I’ve never gone for so I have 0 pattern progress.
Personally, I don't use Quicksilver and use Rufus with Demo and Paracausal Affinity(20% damage boost) I am on Strand Hunter, pairs so well with either Cyrtarachnae or Fortracer.
I have a lore Question, i know this is not a lore channel but i was in a debate and the other side claimed two things that bothered me. 1. He said that a cabal shield had planetary scaling of defense. 2. He claimed that guardians are immune to powers or magic that bend space time. I scoured the internet and lore books looking for feats that supported this and couldnt find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
