Me too, given we feel its screams of pain throughout the campaign and even as we do stuff in Overthrow. I can imagine even with what the Witness was doing to it, it was doing all it could to hold back the Final Shape, same with Mara as well as the Dissenters within the Witness.
This was so disturbing to see the Witness managing to briefly succeed, only held back by Mara, and likely the Traveler as well as the Dissenters within it, from succeeding fully. X_X
I won't lie, I wasn't convinced they had an legit end game plan for The Witness for the little while but after finally hearing that 'perfect moment in time' plan, I was like 'Damn that's actually quite terrifying!'
