I thought the witness was cool…and then I saw the eyes…broke the immersion a bit with how funny they looked compared to all the other cool looking aesthetics to the character and the scene overall

I'm honestly not surprised, this whole time they kept pushing this "She STOLE the light" mess and I knew they just pushing this narrative too hard so I been saying to myself nahhh there's gonna be a twist, it's gonna turn out that the traveler actually did give her the light, what if all this time we've been lied to all this time and there's more to the traveler/light than we realize, me personally I feel like in 2024 when *LIGHTFALL* drops we're going to get hit with a hard reality about all of this, we might even endup going the star wars route and becoming like a *GREY JEDI*

When the Witness comes with his fleet. A massive alliance between all the factions will be needed. Bc when they come. It'll be the biggest war in destiny history spanning an entire solar system. Not sure about the Vex tho. We kind of destroyed their heart in D1. But I can imagine the Vex joining the Witness.

@@furionmax7824 The heart of darkness that was destroyed in D1 was worshiped only by a sub group of vex. Everything the vex do is to ensure that they survive. So honestly they could go either way. Depends on what they perceive as the bigger threat.

@@rexthewolf3149 speaking of which do we know who's in charge of the Vex? Cabal have an Emperor. Eliksni have Kell of Kell or house Kells who run things. Hive have a rulers And scorn had the Fantatic. Vex have an Overmind right??

@@furionmax7824 Not per-say the sub groups have their central minds but we don’t know of a Entity that commands over all of them.

@@furionmax7824 we don't know much about the vex because imo, they aren't very relevant in the current light and dark saga. so I think Bungie will expand on the Vex and other factions that exist outside the light/dark conflict after our current storyline ends with The Final Shape.

doesn't seem like it. She was pretty adamant to be against us. Along with that, we secured Savathun's body for that exact reason. Immaru's not getting her back.

@@Mr-Moron Highly doubt that, but okay, it is another possibility, but I really feel bad for the hive now, they were alike as of many other lost civilizations, tricked by the witness and the deep, and got mind corrupted and only seek for blood and lost her memory of what really happened, and what she did was simply a puppet controled and led by the witness, himself. They were once just a peaceful race becoming dark only by being tricked by the deep and the traveler and the witness.

@@jaywingate187 It's honestly insane with that twist. The familiar (the little worm) had tricked Savathun and the siblings right from the very beginning. There was no great catastrophe. Mind boggling

@@clag1109 well not really, if you’re a lore nut then you would know that the leviathan of fundament told the siblings to go to the surface and receive the Sky(Light) but they didn’t, that’s why Savathûn didn’t know the traveler visited her world, she and her siblings were rolling down in the deep. But only a few people read that deep into it all so no, you aren’t an idiot

I feel like they might come back to tell us the truth about both the Traveller and the Black Fleet. Both of them have some deep connection with both entities. Eramis is obsessed with getting revenge on the traveler as she was there to witness everything that took event during the whirlwind. She also knows how to wield stasis thus she might have some sort of idea about the Pyramids. I’m thinking when we seek for the truth, we will free her from her stasis form and get her to tell us everything she knows/has discovered about both the entities. And then when another problem arises, Savathun comes back to meet us and then she tells us what she knows too.

Do the exotic quest for the parasite and you'll understand why the traveler gave Savathun the light and spared her.

I still do hope that Eramis returns but Savathun definitely has to return she’s just too good of a character 👍

@@ACA_plus the fact savathun's been killing as many guardians as possible, refining their light, and using it in a ritual to summon her throne world into the moon so she can have a beachhead to invade Earth, as well as the lucent tales lore book showing Hive ghosts talking about how they want to kill guardians, immaru especially talking about wanting to dust off the weapons of sorrow, and we can infer from that what savathun really was planning to do with the traveler. If she sealed away the traveler, humanity would have been lightless and defenseless.

seeing this is making me want to play again i also stopped playing in august i just couldn’t find the enjoyment i used to but i’ve been seeing so many reviews on this expansion it seems worth getting back into

I say we somewhat failed the test, for now anyway. There's much bad blood between humanity and the hive, even if Qrow (indirectly) said to Savathun that she could still be forgiven. I still think us enforcing our claim to the Light was ultimately necessary out of necessity for Humanity's survival. If the Witness shows up on Earth again and we have no light to back us up, were screwed for good.

The Hive were ALWAYS meant to be chosen by The Traveler, but The Witness intervened and tricked them with The Worms.

On Presage, the Voice in the Dark (which could've been the Witnees) spoke to us using the voices of the Dead. That's probably why you're hearing those voices as it speaks.

I would watch spin-offs, that reference the lore a lot, even opening up hints and revelations about pieces of lore we never knew about before. I think the game itself does a good job conveying the main storyline. But imagine a series about a group of guardians. Maybe Eris’ old fireteam

What makes it even more tragic is that a follower of the light, the Leviathan, basically told the three sisters to return to the travellers light for that reason, and to stop the World Gods from escaping their prisons. They ignored it and made the deal with the Worm Gods instead.

It's kind of morbidly hilarious when you think about it, in the absolute worst way. Prior to the past couple of years (in terms of storylines and lore churned out by the seasons we've gotten), we only saw the Fallen and Hive as our worst enemies, even above the Vex and Cabal, just because of how much utter MALICE they had for humanity. And we slaughtered each other for centuries feuding over our philosophies, many of which included how we perceived the Traveler. And now with Witch Queen, look how much has changed. With Mithrax, we now have Eliskni allies within the City, and they're pretty fucking baller (Eido must be protected or else there will be war). Their Splicer abilities also offer a new pathway to the Light we didn't have access to before. And out of everybody, it turns out the mother-fucking HIVE were supposed to receive the Light potentially BEFORE either the Eliksni or humanity did. And the only, ONLY reason they didn't get it is because the Witness and the Worm Gods suckered Sathona into choosing the Deep, when there was literally no reason to. God, Mithrax and Savathun just need to be drinking buddies so they can commiserate over how badly their species got fucked over. No fucking wonder the Witness is described as the ultimate enemy of Destiny (from the leaks that came out in the summer), it really is just an absolute fucking shitter.

Way too much lore to tell in a few movies. Although I do wish we saw more detailed cutscenes in the game (like the ones in this expansion)

I’d honestly like to see a movie about the origins of each race in the game: A story about how Aurash, Sathona, and Xi Ro became Oryx, Savathûn, and Xivu Arath and created their dynasties, seeing the Fallen when they had the Light and how they became bands of pirates, Emperor Calus’ reign and what Cabal civilization was like before, and did you they say anything about the Vex’s origins? I recall that Panoptes was the first Vex in the solar system who was responsible for changing Mercury I think

If uyour talking about the Father, Son, and Daughter, to be fair they were more like incarnations or deeper aspects of the force. I don't think they were meant to be one in the same. And can we all agree that the Traveler is low key an a-hole. The thing jumps ship every time the darkness shows up. The only reason earth didn't suffer the same fate was because the War Mind Rasputin did something to force it to stay. Now what the Traveler did to make the Black Ships go away Bungi will need to do a lot of hoop jumping to make it make sense.

The darkness doesn’t though. The witness and it’s kinda is most likely the veil or 5th species we have yet to see. The light and darkness are just there. Though if the traveler does have a person in it, we already know it’s a woman.

The face needs some work, but other than that I honestly love the design. Every single enemy in the game looks pretty beastly. This one is sleek and clean and I love the design choice, since this is probably The Witness.

Aside from the face, the depiction of this haziness and sleekiness and sharpness and lile the whole concept of how dark represents symmetry while the light depicts asymmetry and the character design emodies that to the core. Regardless of the face, the witness just looks so amazing.
