I'm actually really excited for this campaign. By the looks of it, we might actually see some other characters helping us out on location, probably only Ikora and Eris, by the looks of it, but deep down, I really want to see Shaxx jumping at the opportunity to finally use his Crucible skills and knowledge against Hive Guardians.

The Void revamp is really going much more in depth than I expected, so many new abilities and even animations to go with them, I would've been fine with just being able to switch around already existing abilities but this is just so much better I'm really excited

It seems no abilities are going to be truly limited to any one class, as I saw a warlock invisible themselves......so guess everyone will be able to do versions of everything, because if you are giving invisibility to warlocks you got to give everything to everyone otherwise the game will be massively unfair.

The actual gameplay is going to be as mediocre as it has been all along. There’s a reason they invest so much on the cutscenes instead of the actual game. Its all about the $$$$ and the hype.

Just heavily inspire from a well known artist and bend it to fit your game, it really doesn't fulfill to that "alien" look or something unknown, I mean it's not that they didn't put effort into it and it doesn't mean that what the artists did it's bad, but it certainly won't give Destiny an alien feel because a lot of it inspires on stuff not far off from reality, like half of the throne world is just gothic architecture bent into what people back in Destiny 1 thought the "look" of the hive stuff was, it isn't a bad work but it isn't a creative masterpiece either way.

I feel like Savathunn wielding the light will really push the Strangers message about how the darkness or stasis isn’t necessarily evil, it’s a tool and what matters is how it’s used. We’ve almost seen it with Ghaul before, he used the light against us and basically became a god but the traveler kinda deleted him before he had the chance to do anything. Now with Savathunn and her lucent brood, Stasis may be seen as a good counter to her.

Quite possible for sure, but we see the Darkness manipulates anyone connected to it, which is why it is a grey area too. And it also makes one wonder if Elizabeth is being manipulated by the Darkness in her efforts to fight fire with fire, like how it manipulated her grandfather when Clovis made contact with the Vex on Europa. I guess we just gotta wait and see.

Taking into account how King's fall was one of the most mechanic heavy raid in the game. I can only imagine how demanding The Witch Queen raid will be in terms of figuring out the mechanics during Day 1. It will be interesting for sure.

Other than that, I'll be damned if this isn't the best looking DLC and campaign/raid/dungeons I've seen in destiny since Forsaken.

I am still of a philosophy that the Speaker gave us the biggest hint as to how Savathun has the light. When Calus asked what was required of him to be worthy of immortality and power the speaker said: 'Devotion inspires Bravery, Bravery inspires Self-Sacrifice, Sacrifice leads to death.' Nobody understands devotion and sacrifice like the Hive. All they needed was to understand bravery and self sacrifice.

This is shaping up to be an amazing expansion and I'm way too eager to get in and play it. I just hope we're finally going to get an option to replay story missions whenever we want, not just for this expansion, but for every story mission in the game at any given time. It's been almost 5 years now and we STILL don't have that feature.

I just find it odd since the announcement of the hive getting our powers everyone is speculating how they got it but no one has referenced a cutscene in d1(its like the 3rd cutscene) where they arrive on the moon in front of a hive door next to a dead guardian and the ghost says "where is his ghost" this could literally be the precursor to what we are about to get into. Something that happened like 30 minutes into first playing D1. Edit- if only Bungie would confirm some info that would be awesome

@@lolpancakecat Actually Ana has Rasputin with her, he was basically almost completely erased by Savathun at the beginning of beyond light and to save what was left Ana put it into an engram. So I'm guessing they'll be using Rasputin later on in the lore. Seems like we're getting all the pieces once held during the collapse, plus new allies will join the fight because hey everyone wants to live in this game of life and death. Thing is the two entities on either side only why to see their charge continue. There is no good and bad between the light and dark, just purpose.

I like how Ikora, the Warlock vanguard, is taking charge on this expansion with Zavala saddened and confused. Warlocks are the most intuned and reliant on the light so of course Ikora would be the head of the great mystery.
