At least there are mementos of him. The plaque near Zavala, his cape in Amanda's workshop, his photo at the ramen shop, and the Colonel watching over where he once stood
@@pancakes4552 Sadly not. Following his vanguard dare any hunter who kills him is the next hunter vanguard. And Uldren seems to have been brought back as a hunter. So he may well be the new vanguard. And Saint-14 already gave Colonel the title "Pigeon Lord". Sadly Colonel's duties now lie elsewhere
The whole Forsaken DLC felt like some Wild West story. A story about revenge. Hunting down gang members one by one, nothing stopping in your way, and when you finally get to him, you feel so many emotions in the final moments. You begin to wonder, was it worth it? What consequences did we bring? Revenge may be a fool’s game, but if it’s a game then I’m playing
what i love the most is that our character, the guardian's, first words since responding to "Think you can kill a god?" with "Don't think i have a choice" is to specifically say that we will murder Uldren Sov by ourselfs. Imagine that, this one man/woman army breaking their long standing stoic silence just to say they are going to clap your cheeks so hard it will send you directly to hell. That is fucking funny to me.
This is truly the best WIld West story. No one can be Cayde, besides Cayde. He may be "some video game character", BUT IF YOU SPENT 4 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE WITH HIM YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND! Nobody will forget Cayde, nobody. Revenge may be a fools game, but if it's for a person I felt genuinely bonded with, I will play that same damn game, every damn day of my life. And if you ask why, I felt bonded with him "Oh my cotton socks, did you not hear what I just said!" I don't care if you believe I was a D1 player or not, but I spent so long with Cayde. I will never forgot him. And Cayde, you didn't loose the Vangaurd, you sacrificed for it. You merely gained it more. You may be gone, but nobody will even dare to take the Vanguard from you. "I'm coming home.. Ace."
Literally tears when hearing "Im coming home ace". Never will our hunter vangaurd be forgotten and never will his cannon fall in to Uldren grimy hands again. As a d1 beta player ill never forget seeing cayde the first time. His cannon, His quirkyness and most of all his cloak gave me such pride being a hunter. Now we will never forget his sacrifice and he lives on through us, ace, and his cloak.
Here's to you, Big Boss... Arthur Morgan... ...Cayde-6... rest forever here in our hearts, the last and final moment is yours, the agony is your triumph.
Remember fellow hunters, when you take up cayde's cloak that is a vow, to him and you stand for what he represented what passion he stood for. As you wear his cloak take it with Honor and respect. Wear it as if it was a symbol of all that we guardians has fought for. Wear it with pride.
As a hunter, i use the ace as a weapon of hope and Victory, as for his cloak, i wear it like he is still with us to this very day, may cayde be a greatest hunter of all
I miss him every day. He was the the one thing we all looked up to, and most of us dreamed of becoming like him. Rest In Piece Cayde-6... for we'll miss you
one guardian is an army to its self but cayde was humanities spirit he stood for humour, justice and fun he was the definition of the light now that he is gone the dark will slowly eat us bit by bit
Among all the evils the darkness can unleash, all the wickedness it can produce... the light will send unto them only you... rip and tear until it is done
Well they they try to say you’re the villain for killing them but like they where prison escapees who who where helping Uldron cause havoc. And on top of that they killed the only good Vanguard character so they kinda had it coming no?
@@kantanna435 it's more a moral question...some people who I've spoken to feel like it was wrong and against the nature of guardians to lash out and get revenge
@@moosechuckle4335 yea I get what ur saying but if they hadn’t gone after him things would’ve gone to shit cuz of the final boss monster. Idk what I was cuz I’m not that good with the lore. And I’m mostly taking about the servants who where calling you the villain for killing them. Like they where plundering and killing even if we hadn’t killed them for revenge we’d probably have to go deal with em later anyways
Im am proud to say that I have been a hunter since day one, and that I miss seen cayde in his post in the hangar😔 I just wish they would have made something to remember his by, like a statue or something, he definitely deserves it
Rip, cayde. Thanks for being for being the light that guided us through the darkness. From your kindness to your ability to make people laugh. Rest in peace cayde. We all miss you and the hunters that remember how you were in life loved you from the bottom of there heart's. Good bye and good luck my friend.
I will never forget Cayde-6, the best npc of all time, I really cried when I saw his death, GLORY TO CAYDE. And Bungie made me VERY angry, because if he was number 6 and there were 5 before him, there can't be a Cayde-7 either?
You do know the number after an exos name is just the number of times they’ve been reset, right? Cayde won’t be reset or coming back because Sundance, his ghost, has been destroyed
@@bematoagamer15665 issue is. We as guardians, as exos, and even our ghosts dont know how to do that. Its possible it cant be done without a supercomputer to store it seeing as its unknown how exos had their memories implanted to begin with, and an exo is just as capable as any human, meaning they have a processor and memory bank as powerful or more so than a human brain. Even Rasputin isnt that capable and hes the fecking warmind, his computer spans the solar system and he takes the entire artic of Mars to run. How do you fit something EVEN MORE COMPLEX in the body the side of a human? TL;DR- Exos are impossibly complex and even rasputin isnt as powerful as an Exo mind.
The number is the amount of times an exo was rebooted, not the amount of times they came back, also there are backups of exos minds but they don’t regain memories from the previous exo, they come out as a blank slate of who the exo was before becoming an exo
It’s been a year since you’ve left buddy the day you died the moment you passed it left a hollowness in all of us we will continue to fight we will always remember you what you stood for you inspired me to fight to protect those who can’t protect themselves we’ll take on the darkness and win for the light for the tower for you for all those who have stood to defend for the children for everyone♠️💕
I sided with the Drifter during the season of the Drifter for the simple reason Zavala wouldn’t send a force in to avenge Cayde-6. I still wonder if there will ever be a time where we find those who made the Exos and find a way to bring back Cayde. I know they killed Cayde as a fan service to the fact no one really died in the destiny world, but why not take Zavala?
I feel that why take, why not Zavala which I think most doesn't like as much as Cayde but that is probably why they chose Cayde. Cayde is a fan favourite and his death would be much more impactfull on people than Zavala.
I just think that there would've been a whole different ending if Zavala replaced Cayde. Zavala of course is a Titan, Cayde Is of course a Hunter. Now I know any class can be stronger than each other but Titans were made to be the power houses, Or at least I think. A Titan probably would've had a better chance with that encounter.
Every guardian no doubts feels pain from the loss of Cayde... but as a Hunter born from an Awoken... it feels like it was my own kin that took my dear mentor from me. That is a betrayal that can never be forgiven, I'm just grateful it was the one jackass of the Reef that I never liked.
I consign ulderen to the darkest void i could access and i would do it again if I could I might be a airlock but cayde....god damn it cayde forever in our hearts
As a hunter main, I will always carry Cayde-6's prized cannon, The Ace of Spades, it now has close to 17,000 kills with it and I will carry it with me until the very end of the Destiny franchise. For Cadye. This GMV was pretty emotional because I actually did tear up as Cayde laid dying on the ground in front of us and we couldn't do anything to save him.
Still sad new destiny fans won’t get the chance to meet such an amazing character. Destiny just isn’t the same without him. When I saw his monument in the new season, it made me happy. Good to know he was never forgotten. Sometimes I’ll just sit by his statue, and tell him about my adventures. I know it’s dumb, but I do it anyways.
By far the best one I've ever seen. You definitely did cayde proud. It gave me goosebumps all the way through and almost made me cry a couple of times. Very well done.
For Cayde... dawn his cloak, ready your hand cannon, sharpen your horn, say your prayers to ace, most importantly embrace the power of caydes soul embracing you as you finish underneath sov...
Remember when you took the weight on your back, remember the words when you feel down, because there is a cayde in all of us because... so kill the taken, the fallen, the evil awoken, and take these words and cherish them, raise them, find the meaning, because uldren sov is mine.
Destiny 1 I started as a hunter, then became a titan main. Destiny 2 I went back to being a hunter and after Cayde death I still stayed as a hunter. He will never be forgotten. His not dead until the last Guardian forgets who he is, he will forever live in our hearts no matter how old we are
This destiny 2 gmv really brought tears to my eyes,Cayde 6 was one of my favorites,so when I saw him die...I killed every alien bastard I saw after that part of the game
Omg why did I watch this 😞😪 I'm new to Desriny 2 and cried like a big baby last week when I found out he died...I automatically loved him he was so dope. I wish it was someone else instead smh. I MISS CAYDE!! R.I.P. CAYDE-6 💖🙏🏻
There's a few reasons why. Cayde's voice actor Nathan Fillion was moving onto other things, so they used it as an opportunity to kill off the character as well as it gave the player more emotional motivation and drive for the dlc to avenge him
Its good to know we can cry some times, Its easy to forget. Side note, I said out loud the moment when Ikora said "For Cayde", Your really gonna do this to me aren't you. And then cried.
Since Uldren came back as a guardian and I chose to follow the drifter. They better let me take up my thorn the second he walks into the tower so I can put that bastard down forever.
Thing is, it's not the same Uldren. The Uldren we hated, our Guardian took revenge upon is dead. This Uldren how ever is burdened greatly by the crimes of his past life. Besides he's already feeling the unbearable guilt since his resurrection.
Uldren died. You kill him with Cayde's gun. The guy hiding in the tower may look and sound like Uldren but he's a blank slate, a new Guardian atoning for something he will never fully remember. Being immortal and living with an inexplicable sense of guilt is a pretty rough penance all its own.
@Star Platinum I'm not sure but Zavala isn't exactly "leading" and Ikora could of exposed us to the Vex with that gate we built a while back... same with Osiris with the Obelisks. Maybe Saint as Titan, Ana as Hunter... not sure with Warlock though
This is the best destiny gmv, just making sure you know that. I’ve watched this on repeat over the years since you made it, amazing job. Anytime I want to get in the mood to play Destiny I play this. My rage for that bastard grows and I get the fuel needed to avenge Cayde-6 for the 100th time
The darkness is a formidable opponent and only us guardians cant defeat it too a tiny spec so for caydes' sake. We must stand tall and fight! Then if you see a hive foot-mobile,fallen foot-mobile,cabal foot-mobile,taken foot-mobile or a scorn foot-mobile. Put a bullet in its cranium. For Cayde!
I didn't know about this until I played the game, I can safely say everything and everyone in my server knew my rage when I proceeded to murder everything in sight then go into multiplayer for good measure
It was at this moment that the system would feel the Bain and the force of nature that are hunters and we made Uldren pay for what he did. The reef was taken back and Uldren barrens where killed one by one. One guardian fueled by fury and hatred would pull the trigger and with one breath he felt our pain as he died a thousand times over and cayde was avenged
Forsaken hit alot of players hard especially hunters, a lot of people even made hunters not just for the playability but cause hunters had a really good mentor.... and now not only did we not get to kill him ourselves... but his murderer still walks about with out even a thought about what he did! ... regardless of who it was for who was controlling him knowing that cayde is dead and we are suppose to just sit back and shake hands with him... When the day comes where we kill.him off you can bet it won't be the lights wraith with rain down him!
