A few years ago I found this on RU-vid; With tears streaming down my face:- On December 28th 2022, my dad was dying, I don’t know why, but I selected this video as I had remembered it from youtube being uploaded my dad held out and was able to listen to the entire documentary then passed away surrounded by myself and brother holding his hand I thankyou for uploading this video as if it hadn’t of been uploaded I couldn’t have enabled my dad to listen to it Dad loved his trains particularly and NSW heritage type R.I.P V.Williamson ❤
I remember the rail lines , as I used to work on Thompsons Dairy farm , Called Thompson's Forest ; My late mates Brother in Law worked in the workshops repairing the wooden hoppers , This gent also built a model replica of 3801 , and a replica pf one of J and As steam engines !
Thank you for uploading this to RU-vid, I enjoyed watching this documentary. There are several all documentaries produced by Rowlingstock productions, are these able to be uploaded?! Added “in loving memory of Brian Rowling, who was part of making this and several other documentaries capturing many irreplaceable moments that cannot be recaptured or recreated. In loving memory of those featured in this documentary who are now no longer here.”
The SMR 10 class steam locos that were featured in this documentary are unique in steam preservation in the fact that every member of the class was preserved. Some are in better condition than others, but they are all still around.
Three of the 10 class are based at Richmond Vale. But like any railway society or museum, they need help in donations to get their locos restored to operation again. Please check out their website on the link and pay a visit on their public operation days, usually on a Sunday. www.richmondvalerailwaymuseum.org/
