I owe a lot to Beyonce and the rest of Destiny's Child for the making of this song. It motivated me to keep up my studies instead of flunking out of school and getting dragged into a negative spiral of drug abuse and worse as a result of years of being bullied. Which is more than can be said about some used-to-be friends. And it still keeps me up and going. Thank you Destiny's Child!

I have 4 chronic illnesses and it's hard to get out of bed every day. But as long as God keeps waking me up, I know He's not through with me. So I'm just gonna keep living as best as I can.

I remember because I was working at this company from 1996-1997 and my co-worker and I use to always joke about how Michelle was so ready for that lil part in the song.
