Absolutely because even though it loses to maxx "C" and plays 1 more "brick" you can combo with 1 of your traps to start your combos going if you dont open 1 of your normal summons. Also the deck just suffers a lot with maxx "C" already so the dark contract engine just boosts the ceiling of the deck a little bit.
