I love the use of the vibrating plate as a solution to bubbles and getting into those tight spots. I do however still recommend the use of a pressure pot in combination with the vacuum pot. Curing in a pressure pot really condenses any remaining bubbles to a microscopic size whilst also forcing the resin into the tiniest fissures in the wood. It isn't always necessary but with smaller pieces with more details it is an absolute must have. worth keeping in mind if you ever resin cast parts in a mould for something you are repairing.

Thank you for showing the proper use of vacuum for resin work. This is a MUCH better and safer method than pressure pots! It addresses the fundamental need for degassing, rather than masking trapped gas by reducing size. At less than one atmosphere it is so much safer and effective. I also wondered why nails who are 99% submerged into wood need this treatment and than i had a wild guess - i once heard that the old steel was far better than todays steel (which at first hand has to be cheap) and maybe he wanted the old ones besides their originality also for their durability.
