Man!!! The story about his old man’s Trans Am... That’s the shit families are about. To be able to do that for your dad!!! That’s a heart wrenching happy moment. Proud!!
Thought about doing the same thing for my mom who used to own a '69 Dodge Charger that was a show car that had a 440 HEMI in it. She sold it the year before it became a collectors item in 1988 for the money for a down payment on a house she wanted to buy. Made the right decision but still she misses it and I thought about trying to find it and buy it back for her.
This is my cousin Alex Uribe and he is one of the most humble people you will ever meet. He will literary give you the shirt off his back. And all he said is true. I would catch him in his room as a lil kid building and painting car models. This is what a car should be. A daily 💯👍🏽 big props Alex.
Duuuuude... F' me that is incredible, why haven't I built one of these for my self ! Interior is top notch, luv it. Great channel luv everything you're doin, keep it up, gonna some merch.
Now, thats what its all about! a Reliable street car that is truely bad ass... and what he did for his dad is Legendary!! Awesome Car, Awesome Dude! Love this Channel
*Shawn this is the type of vehicle I've been waiting for my entire life including the interior* I really wish I was able to afford something like this cuz this is right up my alley even though I am not a charger fan at all. it's the color it's what he did inside the interior that turns me on. I am a 1970 Roadrunner psychopath I would love to get one with a 440, not a Hemi. I would paint it the same color this guy did to me it looks like Battleship Gray. I love the accent lighting he did inside the interior oh my God that is right up my alley. you really do a good job and your people finding these cars. great job again thank you for sharing!
Very nice build! Obviously he has a huge heart for what he did for his dad. It’s easy to say “drop in an LS”. But it’s a ton more work then most people know. I would loved to se that hemi with a cam, longtubes and good tune.
I can't put into words what I'd give just to be able to watch my dad do a burnout or even donuts in a muscle car.....he's alive but he's blind and in poor health..... Keep on honoring your parents while they are alive regardless though.
This is a bad ass car. Got damn that shit is beautiful. 6.1L ain't bad, but I would've jumped to 6.4L but it's his build and I respect that 100 percent. Also, hands down for building his dad's trans Am. You have a good heart man. Bless you and your fam.
It really came together beautifully. Congratulations Alex you did amazing work with this thing. Such a beautiful almost timeless body and that grey just works. Not the way I would have done it (because I lacked the creative style to think like this) but this is one of the coolest restored-modified cars I've seen in a long time.
OMG! Im loving this killer car and thinking what a cool guy the owner is , then the story of his dads Trans Am , are you kidding me!! this channel is a gear heads dream.
"The wheels are nothing special, just custom designed for the car." Dude, I admire your humility and I really like the car. The Interior is a tad over the top for me, but I'm twice your age, haha. I had a 68 Charger and I love these cars. Yours has 69 nose and taillights, so I assume that is the year.
AWESOME! The 69th Charger is in my opinion the most beautiful cars ever made ....and since i reacently found my enjoyment of this Modern Gray Paint wich is more common in the last time , I have ti say: Thats probably the Peak of my journey .... I may never see a car again thats more Awesome .-Regards from Germany
California interiors is unreal with their stuff. Awesome car in general. Nice build...as clean as it is I’d need to make that engine look like a jewelry box, to match rest of the car.. It’s the ocd car guy in me. 🤷🏻♂️
I was gonna comment on how dope the Charger is, but you get a million cool points for getting your dad his Firebird back. I hope I can do things like this for my dad.
You’ve done it again, Shawn (and Alex!)... I’m guessing Alex’s gift to his dad was just as much a surprise to you as it was to his dad...?! Shawn, you hit the nail in the head @ 06:30 “...where do you spend the bulk of your time...”. Alex, I think you got your priorities absolutely right between interior, motor, paint, etc. I loved that the wheels give a hint to what’s going on inside the car...
Man this is my dream right here... classic muscle car (preferably 68-70 charger) with a modern interior with Bluetooth and ac and one thats loud but not crazy unbearably loud... just a retro sick looking car that’s also a comfortable daily🤙🏼
I hope that you revisit this beauty when he is completely finished with it. Like seeing if he runs the exhaust tips through the body, of course the supercharger and whatever else he adds to it. Thanks for all you do.
