One important thing I forgot to mention in video is that battleship Storm Giant had 1 smoke when we started engaging it which mean they were around 80%-ish HP
CNS Storm Giant was also a scratch crew, but we tried to save it but at least it died to HP loss instead, Before that i was running logi through your blockade that was scary as hell
they are not the first one to die by hp, cows one died by hp from a dd too in the same region after bombarding old captain 3 days befor this one. Good editing and ho god i love this game.
@@siphige4048 Collies titan also did but it was in dry dock many of us were unaware of the cows one at the time, Can't wait till wardens have DDs and collies have subs that will get real intresting.
I was in that first sub crew. We were tracking you waiting for the battleship to arrive. You drove right over us at the point where you were heading towards the fuel platform. We followed you and clipped the side of the platform and lost all speed this made us lose depth right as the battleship rolled over us. This and some 120mm fire started flooding us and we couldn’t get moving before a colonial barge dropped a couple guys into the sub. We killed the boarders and two of our own guys lol. Shotguns smh. The remaining crew assumed the battleship was engaging your destroyer and made to escape. We got the holes patched right as you showed up. 😢. We then grabbed the gun boat that distracted you from seeing the battleship sink. Had a great time this war. Your legendary destroyer will remain as a colonial psyop in our minds for many wars to come.
Those boarders were initially following battleship and scouting it´s position :) Now this make even more sense coupled with what Theomaax explained, this is a truly amazing story and battle, GGs o7
I was part of the battleship crew but got nailed by a 120mm from below deck and couldn't respawn 😥 I gotta say, it was very smart of you guys using wind direction to attack from a specific distance like that, we could learn from seadogs like you. Thanks for a great war 108! o7
This is the best fight I've seen in foxhole, the fact that you guys managed to sink a battleship while fighting loads of enemy gunboats aswell as subs with 1 single destroyer is a crazy achievement. Your commanding and communication with the crew is outsanding. Winning by depleting a battleships HP with a DD is crazy and the fact that you ran out of shells but still won makes it even crazier. You were outnumbered and outgunned in every way yet you took the W. *added to favorites*

SS Drowned from the 111IR peeking at 29:20 lol, we only managed to take down the offshore platform before getting away with 3 leaks on the front and fixing 1 in the middle section. We managed to repair the 3 leaks after about an hour and came back to the fingers but there was no more action, so we had to settle for taking out the seaport using the 40mm of the sub
This is why I think the most important position for any warship is the spotter, you are the eyes for the crew so you command movements as well as coordinate the guns
Sadly we don't have much video. We took our DD with a small crew of Reggie folks and other Regiments looking to learn navy stuff. We took out countless barges, gun boats, and 3 subs with a small crew of like three right at the border crossing. Half our folks on a barge while others were stuck in the water. One guy somehow respawned on our Destroyer boat. While being stuck in queue and at the border. Countless GB, Barges and subs came after us. We took down three subs with depth charges. Just tossing em all over hoping to hit something. We just assumed it was boats we killed with them. Later it was confirmed over chat and local voice that the Warden Navy lost three subs to a destroyer stuck at the border. Only could have been one boat they were talking about and it was ours. At the very end we a got on the boat to go down with the ship in a blaze of glory we tossed what would be our last buckets of water. We don't know what really got us that day.
@@Duri89YTB How does someone get into Naval stuff, it's been 3 wars now and i'm still wondering, but on the other side i keep hearing that people have trouble finding crew...like a "naval" channel in chat is missing.
@@Omidion I´m going to give you broad perspective. In this specific situation we had help from SuperLogi squad with Rare Metals that are needed for construction of a destroyer and then we asked T3-C regiment to produce The Destroyer. Until it was finished we have been very active on Tempest Island while stationed at Plana Fada. Focusing on stabilizing region as much as possible and many times we were the only one online with few randoms. So people understood that we are on water map and doing as much Naval stuff as possible. When destroyer was finished we had multiple missions with it, we fended off 2 battleships (possible future video) at Stlican Shelf, we sunk few subs and multiple gunboats and this was it´s last mission where we started without any crew, just me and Mscott and everyone else joined after we asked for help in Team, World chat many times. So you are right on that one, for easier coordination and assembly of a crew maybe NAVAL chat might help or some other way (comunication and organisation tools are extremely needed in Foxhole). I hope I answered that question.
Can't help but compare this to eve online fleet commanding! You would make a solid FC for sure :D Very calm but confident but also reflective/self-critical in the end to keep improving. Solid job and a pleasure to watch!

@@Duri89YTB Yeah we did destroyers aswell but took us until the very end of the war to get it built and at that time it was already over sadly... so we took out for a spin like 4-5 times only
Wow, that sub wasn't even trying to face you or anything. No attempt to break visual contact, no attempt to use torpedos, ran straight into the border and just waited to die.
We are not on Sigil or WUH, our regiment discord link is not available atm so what I can suggest is to join squad of regiment you want to play with and you will find the one that you like the most. Next 2 wars we will be playing on Warden side so you will not be able to find us, only if you want to fight us :) On Colonial side I can highly recomend SuperLogi squad or Kane. These 2 in last war were super helpful and their coms are great !
I dropped after the logistics patch because I was spending hours just trying to find a place to upgrade a harvester, Have there been any improvements to the logistics or is it still a nightmare???
Yes and No. The devs have done nothing to improve communication about facilities. However finding a public facility to upgrade is easy on both factions, ask in region/logi chat or look for the persistent map markers in back and mid lines.
As Pollen said yes and no and at the same time I can garantue you can find what you are looking for, just need to ask multiple times and what intention you have and people, regiments who do upgrades for free or for some reasonable price will happily help. This happened to me almost every single war on each side. Last war was very painfull for East maps and getting components or concrete there because there was almost none available or everything camped/claimed so I had feeling - screw this - but I was looking for solutions and within minutes I found locations to get comps and I got what we needed... The answer Yes and No is pretty much correct :)
This is how inferior forces can win against superior odds. Play to your strengths and leverage against the enemy's weaknesses. SunTsu would be proud. Foxhole should be mandatory play for all aspiring military officers IRL.
In Foxhole you can get the sense of teamplay and how to lead small teams, squad or maybe even coordinate more and bigger units. Why do you think Foxhole might help aspiring military officers if you could ellaborate on it please ?

Steam description: Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where thousands of players shape the outcome of a persistent online war. Every individual soldier is a player that contributes to the war effort through logistics, base building, reconnaissance, combat, and more. Trust me that there are way too many role playing people in this game :) So I guess your wish can be reality... One of the aspects of RPG games is character customization and gaining skills etc - that is not the focus of Foxhole because it wants you to feel like a tiny cogwheel in huge machine yet contrinuting to overall team success. I hope that makes sense.
