The tower was a few hundred feet away from battery on the right hand side of the farm track,It was a water tower and was only demolished around 10/15 years ago. There also used to be a bridge between the two towers,my Mum and Dad used to play on it as children, they grew up on Sunk Island as did I.The White paint at 14 mins was applied by my mum and late aunty(Dads sister) around 1961 as they had my Aunts birthday party in there and decorated it..the pot on the windowsill is new..It wasn't there in my youth. We are originally a Sunk Island family and know many of the local farmers including Gordon Robinson and Mick, his son who have the battery..They were never bothered about people looking round and unless a lot has changed you hiding is totally unnecessary.Sunk was one Heck of a place to grow up..A big vast playground
There used to be a 35 to 40ft tower on the clay road back inland Nick Drury on Flickr has a picture of it, my grandparents lived on Sunk, and as teenagers me and my friends used to camp there. Great vid

Hello D, yes it was a long day this one. Thank you so much for watching. It was one of the first outings for the new drone. I really enjoy flying it. 😀
Good video . That hole you called an underground fuel tank was probably a small underground bunker that has lost its lid possibly a radiatiojn monitoring station from the cold war.
Hello Spaceman Leo, thanks for watching and commenting. The Royal Observer Corps NRB’s tended to be concrete. Like these; ru-vid.com/group/PLigUiK09W6IyxQ_pqn-pYn1IH3lt7L5Bp
Hello Bazza, I never really thought of it until now but you’re likely very correct. They are so remote I don’t know if Historic England will have been to them. Thank You very much for watching and commenting.
I remember my Nana talking about the dummy docks, she grew up on Selby Street during the blitz. It would be great to research it and film the locations in the future :)
Yes sir and again very sorry to see you're British history being torn apart or failing. It happens in America also but for reasons of political correctness rather than respect 🙏 for anybody else's views of in this case The American Civil War. Very important war .Don't care to recognize its our history collectively right or wrong.
Loved the vid. It's a new sub from me. Have been here so.many times and you taught me a few things. That 'dug out' you found. Take a look through my vids for 'Mystery Bunker, Sunk Island'. I found it when it was still more or less intact. See what you think. Keep up the good work.
maybe im wrong but i thought any ww2 buildings such as pillbox where now protected you cant destroy them, if that farmer has smashed that up on purpose he wants reporting, should get a big fine and his ass kicked
Hello there. Some are listed with Historic England but many are not. Even when they are grade 2 listed I have known them be demolished. History being deleted for individuals convenience.
