@@johngalt7714 to each their own. That is kind of Tavarish's brand. Personally, I dig creating new things, but my dad loves OEM restoration. It's not a right and wrong thing, but an opinion.
Timmydog1977 if it were me I’d rather see it being resurrected in some way. It was already “Ruined” when it was rear ended. I had an old 91 Civic that was totaled when it was rear ended, but we took it and drove the hell out of it in a field until it died. It lasted about 3 summer of “Rally cross” until the engine was so tired it wouldn’t start anymore. It made me happier to see it died like that than it would have to see it get fixed.
I’m watching and I’m more than happy it’s getting a new lease of life. I built it to be a tribute over a replica. I did have spacers and different wheels that made it look much better but removed them before insurance took for salvage. My pay out after the f150 rear ended me more than covered my costs for building and I was about to sell it anyway to go to the UK
I’m highly intrigued by this new project! Great base though with the Fiero chassis. That was hilarious when he was driving it! Keep the V6 and turn it into a beach buggy instead
Definitely turn it back into a fiero, as someone who likes the odd and unique cars you should love a fiero and the history of them. Also the engine fires only happened in 84 and were fixed before the 85 model year which is when the 1st V6s came out, so any one with a V6 doesn't have that fire risk and any I4 85 and up is safe as well.
@@actontreadway1168 You are correct. it was the 1971 Manta but most were based on the Beetle chassis. I think that would be cool with the platform they have.
and every and each episode is amazingly fun... isnt that amazing? :) if you into restoration projects where one car is restored per episode, then you are on wrong place....
☠️☠️ Mad Max Fiero - supercharged Buick 3800 (or a blown 6-71Chevy) with crazy exhaust stacks. A bit of a lift w knobby tires. Cage and lights everywhere.
Heres an idea... use what is left of that car as a chassis for a Dodge M4S Kit car. There is a guy online who resurrected the actual M4S used in the movie "The Wraith" from the 80s who was supposed to be building body kits from it. I would LOVE to see you turn that junk pile into an M4S lookalike!
These were NOT known for fires. The first year 2M4 with the 2.5 cyl was. Only a few fires actually happened and it was mainly due to neglegence by the owners. These 2.8s were great sounding motors, as we heard in this vid. Kinda a shame someone turned it into this because the later v6 models were really fun cars.
Damon Frye of DDE knows where there is totaled LP Gallardo drivetrain that would be a perfect doner car. The black Gallardo was involved in a ping pong accident hit in the RR spun around hit in front LF wheel came off. Carbon fiberbody is trash but you could have real Lamborghini Gallardo doors 😃
Besides the Front, Make The Rest of the Body Youre own Design of a Super car, Just like the Guy who turnes G35's into Vaydor's. With Any V8 or V10 you like
YESS ENGINE SWAP GO-CART. throw the biggest most over the top engine you can find in this thing- if it doesn't fit make it fit! i want to see a skele-car fly!
My fake Ferrari built on a Fiero platform sold for more than a the Ferrari it was modelled after. With the right engine and quality body kits, these can actually be REALLY nice.
Art of the Chicken I think you missed the part where it says “gasoline drenched car”. What does throwing a lighter into a gasoline drenched car imply...? I will let you think a little before you answer, I know it may take a while.
@@loutlot lol, I had been imagining a couple of poorly placed led strips on a poorly executed replica but actually more I think about it the more I realize the potential of a awesome collab...... doubt he'll see it but I tried sending linus a screenshot via facebook(he did want to do something car related some time back)
What always amazes me about this kind of cars.. somewhere out there there's a person who once started this with good intentions. Who has probably spent a fair amount of money on gettting a donor car, the kit, and so forth. And then he started building. At some point they were thinking they were doing the right thing, and actually making a nice car. A lot of hours have gone into this, and whoever this dude was, he was thinking he was actually building a nice car.
