Originally it described a class of ship intended to escort troops and supply convoys from torpedo attacks and was also known as a “Torpedo Boat Destroyer.” When the function of the boat extended beyond that specific duty the term was shortened to just “destroyer". 2:02 yes frantic and camodo, that is very much steam! nuclear reactors creat heat that eventualy turns into steam that is then moved through specialized pipes and pumped into turbines wich converts into electricity! the elctricity then drives the main motors/jets and the rest of the steam can either be recycled or pumped into the air! and the fun thing is all that steam is usualy clean and not radioactive!
