Here's a KX500 video we've been working on for the last month! I'm pretty excited with the way it turned out and have more projects in the works for next year! This was the first time I've ridden my KX500 in 8-years and I was honestly surprised how much fun I had on it! It brought back some great memories! Thanks again for everyone's support this year!

I found a 2003 KX500 for sale - bought it immediately. I am currently fixing a few things but look forward to a lot of riding this year.

I started racing my 500 this year, ever race that wasn't a 3row start i had the bomb, ami so i dont keep up with experts that well yet on the 3 row starts

I love this video, these bikes are mean and meant for speed, and your video shows it. My dad actually has one and we are eventually going to restore it, runs amazing but i feel like it deserves it.

@@snkneo-geo933 Depends what track your talking about. Supercross probably. The 80's KX and CR suspension on production bikes was very high compared to modern 4 stroke. That area he's riding is beast country long straight away to unleash the mighty power of the KX and I mean power my brother. If you never rode a KX or CR500 especially the 80'and early ninety's bikes then you never felt brute torque. I guess at the end it all depends on the rider. 4 strokes are like woman they always have a freaking problem lol.

Wow! Yeap, I'm still riding my 1989 KX500-E1. A good friend is riding a reconditioned 2000. Desert, dunes & Rocky Mountain 4x4 roads. It can do it all. I often feel that I'm going as fast as Desrty, because of my tri-focal eye glasses. haha With stock gearing I was once radared at 85 mph (it was topped out) on ice on a 750 ft snowmobile drag race track. I've never geared it Up or Down.

Wish I had my 2 Smoker right now. It has been in the shop since last September. I have a new Hot Rods crank, Wiseco clutch, Pro X piston, Boysen Vforce 3 reeds, etc. I don't remember all I got for it. I need to call them and tell them my mom will be picking it up when she goes to my little sisters high school graduation. No I bought it all myself but I had moved and didn't have the room to bring it with me.

gotta have 2 tires on hand all times. lots of chains and sprockets. just buy the big spool of chain like 800 dollars. extra rims so you can swap out fast.
