I love you pastor John MacArthur. I listen and watch your sermons. You have been a positive influence in my life. Never wavering from God's truth. I pray for your full recovery..Blessings. Mari
Pastor John is showing us how to age & face illness with dignity & mature grace. He’ll be discussing & teaching scripture until he lays down his head for the final time. I am so thankful for his ministry! He helped me after the loss of my husband of 41 years. My husband died in Faith because The Lord sent John MacArthur to explain the Word of God to him so that he may be saved. God Bless John McArthur!!!!!!
@@donnagelina8548Six years ago, I lost my husband of 40 years, and three years later, my 40 year old son. I can’t begin to express the gratitude I have for Pastor John’s ministry. Thank you for your observations. I have a feeling we’ll all be meeting sooner rather than later together with God.
Beautiful story @omnigirl987, PRAISE our LORD Jesus for His faithfulness being shown through the power of the Holy Spirit working so strongly in the life of Pastor MacArthur! :)
Pastor MacArthur is a national treasure to the evangelical community - a very humble, godly man who puts the integrity of the whole counsel of God above all else. Only God knows the thousands of lives he has touched and helped grow in the gospel of grace.
72 and just discovering MacArthur? Where have you been?!? I have been a Christian for over 40 years now but spent half this time in a Baptist sect that was hostile towards MacArthur and I was living in his “backyard” (Los Angeles Country) and had plenty opportunity to visit GCC but never did. I really came to appreciating MacArthur after moving back to Texas and hardly get back to the SOCAL these days.
I am not impressed. Sure he can speak. Anyone who has been addressing audiences as long as he has SHOULD be able to do that. One thing he should have gotten right is the basics of the one simple gospel that was proclaimed for the first 400 years. Instead, MacArthur obediently follows the deterministic teaching of that Catholic philosopher/theologian Augustine of Hippo whose 3600 sermons contaminated with it.
I'm in tears right now watching this. I love this man in Christ. My first study Bible was a MacArthur bible. It was not a leather bound but a hardback and I used it so much it began to come apart. I had to tape it back together. May God continue to use you dear Pastor John! ❤
lol i have an ESV version of his hardcover study Bible too. The detail to it is incredible, the page notes have almost as much written as scripture with a good detailed explanation of literally almost any question about what something means or the historic or spiritual explanations of things throughout, it has maps of locations n paths where people had gone for differing reasons, It's probably the most detailed study Bible ive ever owned
Mine is falling apart too! I bought a new one but really prefer my old one. Someone said 'A person whose bible is falling apart usually means their lives aren't!'
I understand how you feel when Paul washer had heart surgery again it was also a stressful thing. The good thing is they are both going to heaven. Have a good night
I was raised a Catholic and the first non-Catholic Church service I ever attended was none other than Grace Community Church back in 1980. I had been looking into the Faith for several months and a week after my first service there, I became a born-again believer and started attending Grace until I moved to Arkansas in 1981 to go to grad school. I have listen to hundreds of sermons over the years and my favorite ones are probably back in the 1970’s. Was even baptized by Pastor John at Grace. I thank the Lord because HE knew Pastor John was the teacher I needed to hear and I have had the privilege of turning so many guys onto his ministry. Forever grateful for a gifted Bible teacher who has motivated me like no other to study the Bible to righty divide it.
Thank you for uploading the flood geology videos. The ice age one with Michael Oard with the funny repetitive dramatic transition music is worth the price of admission. I knew i recognized your RU-vid handle
Christian Movies...Hi i am from india...i need to ask you a personal question, I too love John MacArthur. I am also coming from RC background and John MacArthur changed my life too.. the way I understand the Scripture changed a lot after reading all his New testament commentary volumes... And also i have many many books of his... One thing I lack and egarly waiting to get one... Do you have any book of his with his autograph? If you have please let me know.
@@suzannemcmaken4648 Weak Catholics leave the Church.Strong Protestants become Catholic after they find the Truth. Examples: Dr Peter Kreeft(former Presbyterian), Dr Scott Hahn,(former Pastor) Steven Ray(former Baptist Pastor), Jimmy Akin, Keith Nester, Tim Staples(USMC) etc etc etc. And Cardinal John Neiman(former Anglican). Read the Church Fathers and get on the journey back home to the Catholic Church. Love you my brothers and sisters!
Hallelujah!! JohnMac has also been instrumental in my growth and interest in the Word. I first listened to his Radio broadcast sermons years ago...what a blessing and what a faithful servant
Lord God please keep pastor John alive and restore him to good health till the rapture. he is a symbol of Your strength. we need him to keep us sane in these very trying times. in Jesus sweet sweet name, amen.
Lean on Christ my friend, John Macarthur is top of the league but he is not Jesus. He is leaving a lot of good pastors to finish the work, I have been watching some on GTY. God bless you 🙏
He doesn't speak the whole truth though. He teaches that the blood of Jesus does not save, just his death. Without the blood there is no remission of sin.
I believe you misrepresent what MacArthur teaches in general by encapsulating it based on a singular, infantesimal point of contention. I contend is related far more to semantics than to any overall thrust of beliefs on his part. You then present this difference you citr as representing the whole, or major part of his teaching, which I'd not really fair.
Rubbish. He is someone who swallowed Theistic Determinism hook, line and sinker and when he could not answer HOW it could be buried his head in a mystery.
@@JimiSurvivor Predestination and Determinism are two different beliefs. MacArthur does not teach Determinism. I absolutely have a choice whether I am going to obey God today, or not. Theistic Determinism says that if I sin, I had no choice in the matter. That is unbiblical and not taught by MacArthur. Just because someone labels him a theistic determinist doesn’t make it so. I can see how one could confuse the two doctrines, though.
I have a listen to you now for 43 years and you can’t imagine how much you’re preaching. Blessed me! Have been praying for you for years, and will continue to do so! From Kentucky!
WE are the ones who are blessed, Dr. MacArthur! You have always been, and continue to be, the finest Pastor/Teacher we could have. You have exposited Scripture to OUR benefit for decades, growing us in Christ and Biblical knowledge. We all look forward to seeing you back where you belong soon. You are greatly missed and greatly needed! ❤ GOD BLESS YOU!!!
I grew up listening to Pastor John growing up and when I went to college I actually recorded every days radio sermon so I could listen after classes. I look back and realize it was like going to seminary for many years. Thank you, pastor John, for the depth of Bible knowledge you have led me through.
God bless you and be with you John McCarthur, we love you and miss you. praying for you and your family and your congregation. Happy to see you. LOVE your preaching
Pastor John MacArthur will never know how much his ministry has meant to me. He discipled me on the radio and by his commentaries and books and yet he doesn't even know me. I spent nearly 20 years as a pastor myself. I am blessed by hearing the gospel from men like John.
When the Lord first saved in 1983 I started listening to JM and haven’t stopped since ! Ive known that was God leading me in the right direction of who to listen to and I owe so much of my growth to JM ‘s teaching . May the Lord grant him many more years of preaching and health .
One time I complained to a good friend about how pastors beat around the bush and don’t tell people what they need to hear. This person quickly got on her phone and turned over a segment of Dr. John MacArthur and I was so grateful to look into his ministry, and I have not stopped listening to him since. I appreciate that he explains things so well and what we as Christians are expected to do. There is no greater pastor than John MacArthur who is the one to learn from and follow, I can’t thank him enough!
I can remember playing with my legos while my mother played MacArthur tapes on our big stereo, just listening to his warm, kind, powerful voice was comforting. Over the years as my faith was weak or strong, or when my life went off the rails, John's ministry blessed me and kept me going. I would not be alive if it weren't for what the Lord did through him. I hope he is able to recover and keep fighting, but if he needs a rest so be it. God is sovereign, Jesus is coming back to rule soon, and we win in the end. One day we'll all meet John resurrected with limitless vitality and joy. What a wonderful legacy he has left us.
Hopefully my children have similar memories as they age. We listen to Macarthur regularly in the car. My wife has the Macarthur study bible and i have several of his books and commentaries.
@@MansterBear Never underestimate the power of having Biblical stuff around, even a little. My Grandmother had parents who were into the occult, and she eventually became a sort of cultural "Christian" who attended Church as a social activity only. When she and my Grandad were challenged (in their late 60s) by my mother and uncle to read the Bible, he refused, but she was open to it because she remembered as a little girl her own Grandmother would brush her hair and read Bible verses to her, and that she loved the Bible so much she slept with it under her pillow. Long story short, both my Grandparents were baptized and became born again believers. My Grandad wrote a powerful testimony which was read at his funeral, and Grandma is still going - 92 years old. And still reading the Bible every day. All that because an old lady in the 1930's took the time to expose her Grand-daughter to the Bible, even though she got zero Scripture at home.
Pastor MacArthur, we are praying for you here in India. Your ministry has meant a lot to like me because you have walked with the Lord consistently all these years and have been a great example to us.
Thank you Pastor MacArthur, your teaching has been so foundational in my Christian walk. I’ve used the MacArthur Study Bible for years. God bless you Dear Pastor! 🙏
We love you Pastor John and thank our Heavenly Father for meeting all your needs, especially medically. We are also very thankful for your faithfulness to the ministry of preaching and teaching God’s Word. Personally, you have taught me and increased my desire for discipleship, as you rightly divide the Holy Scriptures. Please know that you’ve touched lives of people you’ll never get to know on this side of glory. We will continue to pray your strength in the Lord and for your family. God’s blessings, peace, and grace to you!❤🙏🏽
I grew up listenin 10:57 g to John MacArthur, David Jeremiah, and Chuck Swindoll on my mother's radio. God give us pastors as bold and sound in their faith and doctrine for our children and grandchildren. 🙏
There are the occasional rare preachers who have both the intellect and the heart to pastor well. John is one of that few. Ravenhill and Dr. Tozer were his forefathers. IF you go back to some of his sermons in the 1970's and 80's, Pastor MacArthur has so many good things to compliment Wilkerson, Ravenhill, and Tozer on. He loved those 3 guys. Dr. AW Tozer was such a blazing fire for God, that he was sending envoys out to Frank NItti's men trying to get guys associated with the gangs of Chicago in the 1920's into church. His attitude was that those dudes were the sickest of all, so let's get them to a doctor.
Thank you, Tim, for sharing this video. Lovely to see John MacArthur God bless him, may he be with us fit as a fiddle till Jesus returns. Thank you for your faithfulness, God bless ❤
I am 67, and started listening to Dr. MacArthur about 10 years ago, and that is when i started to spiritually grow exponentially and become fortified in my faith in the truth of Gods Word, even though I have been a Christian for most of my life…God bless Dr. MacArthur, as in the words of Kirk Cameron, I believe “Dr. John MacArthur is and has been the best Bible teacher of this generation”!👍🙌👏
@@btwn For the first 400 years of the Church the successors to the apostles taught axiomatically that we can (by God's design) able to decide whether we will surrender to God or rebel against HIm. The idea that choices are an illusion came from Augustine who, in turn, got the idea of determinism from PAGAN Manichaeism. However, the Bible tells us we can decide this day who we will serve: 14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
AMEN! I have sat under John's teaching for 41 years now & there is no one that comes close to John's sound teaching. I thank the Lord for that man of God every day!
@@AnnSchuster-u9m Billy was an Arminian. You may not like me saying this, but he helped usher into the visible church, a great deal of garbage. Arminianism is heretical. The test all folks should follow is the simple question; "do you believe a Roman Catholic who holds to the Romanist gospel is saved?" If that person says "why, yes I do: then you have your answer as to whether or not they are a genuine Christian. The doctrine of justification is not the only standard, but it is a standard that can be used to determine who is of God and who is not. Rome denies the gospel of grace and Billy Graham had no problem with Romes gospel.
I’m one of 113,000+ listeners that appreciates what you do! Your support of John MacArthur reminds me of John the Baptist. John MacArthur is a warrior for Christ. I admire his determination to continue the fight for Christ. It can’t be easy being 85. It’s definitely difficult going through the health issues that he has had. He won’t give up because he’s a warrior. He’s going to accept God‘s offer of every last day that has been appointed unto him. I have wanted to give up a number of times through my life. I’m still here because of people like John MacArthur?
I am grateful to have John MacArthur as the earthly spiritual Father that I desperately needed. I raised my strong Christian daughter on your Biblical teachings, since she was five yrs old, and I have never ever regretted it! Thank you Pastor!
Thank You Pastor John I’ve only just found you in the last 12 months or so but the way you stand on the word of God is a blessing and I feel very safe when I listen to your sermons Praying for you and your family
On my way to work every morning I listen to his sermons on the Book of John and so with other books both old and New Testament and is so blessed and have learned a lot from his teachings. I pray that the young people in the seminary will learn from him and take them to heart as they become ministers later in the churches they will lead and daily as they spread the Word of God and the Gospel of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you so much Pastor John MacArthur. May our Almighty God renew your strength, give you a full recovery and may he give the the gift of life as you continue to teach us. Take care and God bless you 🙏💕
God bless Dr. MacArthur! He is the greatest preacher of our times. Faithful and true to the word of God. What a huge impact he has had on so many lives including mine.
There is no such thing as a great preacher. They shouldn’t get the glory, there are faithful servants which he is. But they just deliver the great and holy word of God. There is nothing great about them beyond that.
Amen, ditto, praise the Lord and thank you for everything Pastor MacArthur for growing me in the word so I wasn’t like a little child tossed to and fro anymore❤️🔥✝️💪🏽
It took my dad 3 months to recover from a similar heart surgery. I had to weigh him every day, and he lost 20 pounds of water in under 2 weeks. He was tired, etc, but gradually got better and was back to his baseline in 3 months. However, due to medication and all he has to pace himself and I suspect John will also. Dad is same age as John. I am hoping that the church could move him to Sunday night with streaming services so he can preach and we can be blessed, when he is strong enough. ❤ John 🙏
This made my day…. I Love our Lord, I also Love pastor John and I’ve been blessed to have his translation of the word in my life daily. Be well Pastor!
Dear DR. JOHN i started listening to your words on video at a Ladies Bible study 50yrs ago..whilst still in SA. I am now attending a Baptist church in Auz living with family. Your in depth preaching has been of great benefit to me thru the years. I do pray that the doctors are able to help you breath better to enable you to complete what you are working in for His Glory. God Bless you for your faithfullness. With love in Christ. 🙏🌿
Pastor John MacArthur, I appreciate your biblical teaching so much. I have all your books through the New Testament. Also many of your books as “The Gospel according to Jesus” and “the Apostles”., and many others. I listen to a podcast sermon every night before going to sleep. I have grown so much in God’s Word. I’m so grateful that He has used your sermons in my life.
My father in the faith, I love this man dearly. God has used MacArthur in the lives of my family in mighty ways. Been listening to him for almost twenty years now, from the time I was a newborn Christian. Looking forward to giving him a big hug when I see him in heaven!
Prayers to an awesome man of God! God sent him to me and I cannot explain how much he has taught me! I wish that I could attend his church but am so blessed that I can listen to him through the app! Thank you Mr. John! Please know how much you are LOVED!!! ✝️🙏🏻😘
Pastor John, I started attending your church in 1984 as a 7th grader in highschool. I spent the next 10 years attending your church regularly and you were a huge part of my bible studies and church life back in the 80's and early 90's. Since moving on to other churches due to moving to a different area in the early 2000's, I continued to listen to your ministries, either through radio, cassette, or cd!! For 40 years you have been a regular part of my studies. God has truly blessed this world through blessing you with the gift of the Spirit in teaching. We all know that we will be amazed to see the glories of God in heaven some day. I truly look forward to seeing how God blesses you in heaven as well. If you happen to arrive to your home in heaven before we do, I will definitely look for you there. Although according to you, you may not recognize us in a "perfect" form 😇😇😄😄.
You are appreciated & loved. Pastor John is an inspiration for so many of us. After just going thru a health setback myself & having to yield to the loss of strength, I can relate but still trying to spread the good news & reach out knowing that we can always Trust His Hand. ❤
Thank you so much for your update on this great amazing brave pastor Dr. John McArthur, I am looking forward for his 5 point of Calvanism series. I am so thankful for his videos and teachings, I have 2 of his bibles. 🙏 🙏 🙏 God bless you !!!
I love and respect Pastor John his preaching, teaching, books helped me in my understanding of the Biblical Truth. May God continue to bless him and his family.❤❤
Thank you Pastor John McArthur for the tremendous work of God's greatness and faithfulness in your life ..to God be the glory! Praying that His grace bring you speedy recovery. Keep safe always and God bless!
