Thank you for helping me make coffee :) I’m 18 and my mom just got me this coffee maker because I’m a big coffee person and I’m very excited to use it :)
Watching this in 2021.. Your the man for this video. Great detailed review and perfect for the practical person. I really dont ever comment on any youtube videos, and I never thought I'd comment on a coffee maker video (lol), but you deserve it sir. I and the rest are sincerely thankful for you. +10 cool points . thanks again! good vibes!

I was able to get mine for 12 bucks on Walmart since I needed a new coffeemaker and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a new one. Very helpful video!
I liked the easy way Just a Dad went through the coffee pot walk thru. Gave suggestions. Answered all The questions I had and I now feel comfortable about using my new coffee pot.
Haha my boyfriend told me that I needed to start drinking coffee, it’ll make my day go faster. So I bought this and I’m so new to coffee never drank it unless it was from Starbucks lol! So I’m excited thanks for the review. I’m so silly I really didn’t even know what to do hahah
Your reviews are very helpful. 10x better than the info from the manufacturers. We tried Ninja Specialty but didn't like the taste, so we went back to this Mr. Coffee and we like it. If you brew with the lid closed, you end up with a lot of condensation that gathers in the bottom left corner 14:53 when you later open the lid and then drips out when you close the lid. Not a big deal though. Thanks again for all of your reviews.
Just bought this. Thanks for the review! My only tip would be that you are supposed to keep the lid down to control any evaporation from the hot water. It helps the grounds get wet and brew more thoroughly.
Glad it was helpful! yeah it is, In my case I saw my dad use a coffee maker and when it came time for me to use one I had no idea how to use it. it sure is funny!
Love this video!! I’m a new coffee drinker and am debating between getting the Ninja 10 Cup Specialty Coffee Maker & this Mr. Coffee maker. Just A Dad if you see this comment please let me know what you think! I like the iced feature of the ninja but have heard a lot of people have problems with the machine as it stopped working relatively soon after purchasing. Id hate to purchase such an expensive coffee maker for it to stop working, which is why I am interested in this more affordable Mr. Coffee option
This is the coffee pot I use. Was Glad to hear you say it handles Hard Water Well. How do you clean the mineral Deposits??? I usually use Vinegar and let it soak a full hour, half way through. and I have tried Denture Tablets too. I haven't been really impressed with either. And I try to clean once a month.
Thanks for Watching and your feedback. Vinegar works great and that is all I use on Coffee makers. Letting it soak is the best method. longer the better. I have not tried denture tables, check out my video on how I clean another mr coffee maker that is similar to this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w9uxTyJRlZI.html Check this video out where I cut open a bunch of coffee makers and show you the inside and how they work. You will be surprised to see how small the heating element is that heats ups the water, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ppleIRcNFJc.html
Thank you so much for this video. My in laws bought this while they were staying with us and I am not a coffee drinker so when they left I had no idea how to use this dang thing 😂
after the coffer has brewed, do you leave the power button on to keep the coffee hot, or do you turn it off so the heating element doesn't continue to heat up without water in it?
Make sure the warming plate is working. Leave the switch on after the coffee maker brews the coffee. If you turn the switch off that will turn the warming plate off under the pot. If that is not it then I might take it back because with that warming plate it should stay at or about 150 degree temp. Thanks for Watching!!!!
What is this extra white water filter piece? And the round plastic piece that has the letters on it and adjustable circular red piece? Does anyone know what it's for how to use it? I just dumped water in turned it on and fresh ☕ coffee.. so this round piece I'm assuming is a water filter that I can add on but it's not really necessary??
It is a water filter that goes on top of the coffee filter basket, I did a video on it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eRciDM8k8ZE.html
It all began with the "pins" I remember finding 2 pages pinned, one was a copy of a check and the other was a page that just said "GOOGLE". I also remember comeing across a picture and realizing it was pinned and I clicked somewhere or another, where it said, "Remove all pins". However, having been tossed around here to there these past years I never had the chance to get back to it. I actually forgot about it for along time. That's how it has been with everything. Every time I get close, they are always with me to cut me off where I am once again having to start over. Anyway, I hope that I can get on the same page and platform with you all soon. Right now, all I can do is jot down a note about this and that, whatever page I am on. lol, kind of like I did with my Bibles when I was into my studies. Jotted notes on whatever page I was on.
Why they had the lid open sideways? Front to back opening is easier since someone may put it on either side of a sink for quick water access. Instructions? Why? Ha ha. Thanks for this review, and the clip of the dog. 😄 Nope, no coffee for Fiona.
Right on no coffee For Fiona. I thought the same thing about the lid, it just seemed odd at first. thanks for your support!!! What is your favorite Coffee?
yes you will need a paper filter or a reusable filter to make coffee. The filter basket is just to hold the filter. then put the coffee grounds in the filter.
Sorry I should have shown that in my video. Just use 1 tablespoon of coffee for each cup you are going to make. then just add that amount of water. remember Coffee pot cups are a lot smaller than what we usually drink. Just use the markings on the side of the coffee pot. try making it up to the 3 cup mark first. Add 3 tablespoons of grounds then add water up to the 3 mark on the coffee pot.
Clean the heating element with White Vinegar. It might just need descaled. other than that It is probably bad. I have a video on how to descale / clean the heating element inside the coffeemaker with white Vinegar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7-J0n-Z6lBk.html This video is for an older model but it will also work on the one you have. Hope this helps. Thanks for Watching.!!
Run a pot of white vinegar through it every three months to avoid mineral deposits that slow the coffee maker. Then run another pot of cold water and it is ready for a fresh pot coffee after that.
I just got this one to replace my vintage 2000 Braun. Mr Coffee does not get the water hot enough but i partially re-poured the product into the the grounds basket a couple of times. I hate to be subjected to cheap Chinese junk.
Hey! I know you posted this 7 months ago but it really helped? Also, my water was coming out a lot harder and from 4 different little openings from the top, maybe yours was a bit clogged?
I watched a lot of different reviews on drip coffee makers cuz mine just broke and I want to cure egg but I don't want to spend the money as of now you said you got this for $17 I just looked at the video that was 3 years ago today in 2022 on Amazon this thing is going for like $32 or so
For those who haven't watch already, I'll give you a "spoiler alert" (I think that's what they're called". We have the exact one in the kitchen right, it is the second one Kenny has purchased from Walmart in about five months. The first one lasted about 2 months before we had to start boiling water and pouring it over the grounds. The one we have now is not yet 2 months and we've been doing that same thing now for about one week. Years ago, the same thing happened to me with the same maker from the same Walmart. I think the longest mine lasted was about four or five months. I think one only last about six weeks. I am the kind of person who believes that if something is already broken I can't do any damage by trying to fix it. I took it apart and found that the hose was not properly fitted or connected in the bottom of the tank, causing it to not siphon up to the filter basket (something like that). Anyway, after my rigging, I think it work for a few more months. In fact, I believe it was still working when I moved from my house. Like everything else, I don't know where it went from there. One thing is true, as we have all heard, they don't make things like they used to. It's always quantity over quality anymore. Makes for a lot of waste and money if you ask me. Not even "The Bunn" coffee maker, they was built to last and made a pot in about 2 minutes. Not the last one I purchased; but that was years ago. Can't give a review, without updated experience or info. Anyway, just thought that I would put in my two cents, seeing I am up-to-date one the item. In fact it has become a topic of conversation often in my household these days. Like everything else, only complain and talk about the negative, never speak anything positive into being. And don't bother trying to share a good word around here, you might as well cast your pearls to swine. Either way, they're going to trample them. Many Blessings Be to you All...Much Love
