Dude you are such a boss. Amazing video. Super useful. I had to come back to edit this comment. This is the most objective, informative, educational and useful tutorial and review I have ever seen. If I had a company and needed to hire someone to make videos about our products it would be you. You SHOW, not TALK. Its just amazing ...this level of quality with from step 1 to step 10 is just unbelievable...every single part too during assembly. Really man of his craft. Cheers from SLovakia, Ill buy you a beer if you come visit.
i`ve seen dozens of reviews of these machines all over youtube, yours is by far the best and most useful. i would love it if you could add links to the files used in the video, such as the engraving test you used on the tile and maybe the spraycan holder
I usually give thumbs up to helpful videos but I always write comments to excellent ones. Well done Sir. You showed us your results but the most important thing is that you included your settings. Thank You.
Wow! If I had found your video first, I probably would have gotten mines assembled in half the time lol. Your video is straightforward with clear views. I had to switch between two separate videos in order to assemble mines in order to get the correct instructions clear views of what was being put where for my particular model.
Absolutely, without a doubt, the best video on YT for the LM2P. Thank you Sir! You burned a test pattern before the Lightburn one looking for the darkest/sharpest square. Are you able to share that file? It looks incredibly useful. Thank you again!!
I'm planning to get a laser cutting machine. Your video helped me decide that I should get this one! Thank you Techydiy for this! I am a new subscriber.
That has got to be one of, if not the most informative and instructional videos i've ever seen on YT. As someone potentially about to buy my first laser, with this one in mind, it has convinced me to get one sooner than i expected. One question however, does the laser loose any efficiency over time, does it ever need replacing?
Hello this video is fantastic and I actual changed mind and going to purchase this unit, in your video you mention air assist where can i get this please looked on e bay so many hope you can help
Wow! That was such a great video! I will search for the latest Ortur Master and a few accessories. Which laser head do you recommend to start? Should I get two when ordering? Do you recommend any other accessories? I've seen some people use colored tissue paper (using water or vegetable oil) to hold it on glass. What do you think?
Thanks for a really interesting and informative video. I've been looking at this laser for a while and yours is by far the most concise and yet packed full of content. Merry Christmas
This is so helpful and comprehensive!! I wish I would have found it before I did the assembly of mine with a lot of trial and error. (Was it just me or did the instruction booklet leave a little to be desired?)
Such a great video, wish I had watched before building. Took ages to assemble. Can I ask is there a spefic reason you use marker on the clear acrylic before cutting?
Been trying to watch laser engraving videos and can never make through them because I don’t understand what is happening. Watching your videos and saw it was 28 mins long I thought there was no way I was going to watch the whole video and then I did. The best video I have seen! Very helpful! I know I mostly want to do engraving but cutting would also be helpful. It seems though this can only cut plywood and I would need to cut hard wood. Do you know if that is possible or should I just plan on doing it by hand and focus on getting the SF?
Can you please make videos about inkscape and laser grbl tutorials specifically for the cnc engraving? I really didn't knew there were these many options that i didn't explored until i watched your video
Hello , thanks for the video , !!!I have a question for you. I bought a laser machine .. inclusions of Artur Laser Master 2 PRO S2 .. I connected everything as in the instructions, downloaded the drover program.. But when turned on without a USB cable to the laser , it does not turn on ... And when I turn on the UZB cable in the machine, the light bulbs start blinking periodically ( red blue ) the head does not go.. What could it be???
Hi. I ordered this -- ARTUR Laser Master 2 Pro S2 . Can you help me which programs I need and where to download ? to work with the tank and make drawings to burn .. can I link to the programs please .
Amazing tutorial, what would be the (min, avg, max) stroke width for a line (cut, engrave) when created with inkscape and imported to laserGRBL for LM2 pro 10A
If you mean what stroke width should you set in Inkscape then the minimum width possible as it tends to be deducted from the width / depth of the exported object. You can change the view to outline to see the shapes better ( the menu says something like outline, I don’t have access at the moment so I can’t check)
@@techydiythank you, I am trying to create a wastboard grid (or any outline shape) on MDF on inkscape and then export to laserGRBL. Your tutorial is one of the few that incorporate inkscape and laser GRBL for laser cutting and engraving. and I was wondering what should be the stroke width for the horizontal and vertical lines to be engraved. another question would emerge should I just create individual lines and group them together or create a single line and use path effect (create grid), not sure which method would be efficient to be sent to LM2 pro 10A. there is also the consideration to avoid extra burn on the overlapping between the HLines and Vlines (or any other overlapping shapes outline)
If I needed to engrave on multiple coasters could I line the work area with them burn away. They will all say the same thing. Looks like I could fit maybe 12 or so
is it possible to engrave the object you created with fill 10:25 (not only outline) or line shapes (with different stroke) .svg on LaserGRBL? also importing drawing inkscape .svg with shapes and lines with only stroke and no fills to ligthburn (purpose to engrave only the stroke) will not show when mode is set as (line) and will fill area between objects when mode is set to fill rather than filling the stroke (outline) per object😱
Hi, Your detail in your video's is brill. Can you tell me which version of lightburn should i choose for the Ortur Master Pro 2? Lightburn asks me to Choose the version of LightBurn appropriate for your laser / controller!! Cheers

Can somebody help me? I just bought the Ortur Laser master 2 pro s2 last week. I was told to download the latest firmware. After going to the Ortur firmware web site I downloaded the new version 1.90 but it doesn't want to copy over to the mother board. It is downloaded onto the computer but is not coping over to the laser when turning it on.
Absolutely fantastic video mate. Do you think that this machine could engrave lots of different colors of anodized aluminum like yellow or gold or just dark colors?
What do you recommend the SF or the LF and is there really a big difference in your experience mainly i do both engraving and cutting ( i use it mainly for puzzles and kids toys)
Have you found that running the laser at 100% has any negative effects? I see some videos warning against running full power because it will ruin the laser.
The official Ortur website recommends 100% power for most material cut settings so I would think it’s perfectly fine. I have had no issues. The important things to be careful about are accurate focussing and a clean laser lens. Air assist makes a world of difference 👍🏻.
Thanks. You don't need to change the focal length unless the material is thicker than about 6mm. In that case just drop it down by half the depth roughly. I quite often flip thick material over instead and cut from both sides.
This machine is a package price, technology transfer, delivery in Vietnam. Price includes shipping and taxes ? So thanks for your company, please quote. thank
Great video, thank you. Please could you tell me which air pump / compressor you would recommend for use with LF laser and air assist? Thanks! Mike. Edit: Also, do you have a link for the 3D printed air assist nozzle please?
www.thingiverse.com/thing:4968626 I use a large shop compressor. But an airbrush type is probably fine. I would search or ask for opinions on the lightburn forum
Great, informative video. Thank you so much! I do have one question. I'm going to be purchasing one of these shortly, with 95% of my jobs being engraving.would you suggest the SF (short focus) or LF (long focus) model? Do you have a preference?
The voice over descriptions are pretty badass. If someone finds this video in 8 years and is wondering what kind of bolt to use to replace a missing part, they will have the info they need. Nice one.
